The major part of this comes from the fact that people suddenly start to treat you differently. FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 18, 2002 Terrible... I failed it because I was not good enough in school when I made my abitur. And that`s already three years in the past!! Damn school grades and I had a B- ... So I got no chance to become officer and study the same time. That was bad, because they don`t take officers, that didn`t study as soldiers for lifetime, what I wanted to do. I saw no sense in going to the army for only 12 years and then find another job. So a natural part of our microverse is a) the occasional freakout thread due to exessive boredom  b) the occasional closing of freakout threads c) the occasional bitching about closing of freakout threads. Being a mod, you have to take a bit of teasing and provocation and just wipe-it-and-flush-it so to speak. We freak, you close, we bitch, next thread. No big deal. I have met French legionnaires on a couple occasions. They are competent soldiers, but less educated and dumber then your average soldier. Their officers treat them like shit too. I can't see the need for more than a couple, and I don't like to see people power tripping in a discussion forum. Thats not to say I don't want the forums moderating, I do, I hate unmoderated forums, but do we need so many, and such scrutiny of every comment, people constantly saying "no offence".
