engima 328 Posted April 17, 2012 Ok, here's another idea. Maybe the code never reach the lines that spawn the guards in InitServer.sqf. First the ammo depots and communication markers are created, and if that failes the execution will not proceed (also in InitServer.sqf). Have you added comcen markers? And are they at anough distance from each other? Try to add debug info to see if the whole file is executed. (I still havent had a chance to look at your code). I don't know how that works (or if it works) on Lingor and other islands. I recognize the R_GOTHIT_ARRAY part. It's UPSMON. Something goes wrong when spawning units like I do, and I haven't found out exactly what's going wrong. But everything seem to work despite this little script error. And I have also noticed that a lot of log information originate from ArmA itself. Not anything I recognize in your dump right now, but often there is. A map that doesn't support the Civilian Module maybe need some kind of edit to add them. Maybe NeoArmageddon has any valuable experience here? Yep, Ambient Civilian Module should be removed on not supported islands. The "Error Número no válido en la expresión Error in expression <<NULL-object>>" error just occures on "Preview"-button in editor. It seems like an mi-8 would be on us within minutes. It would then hound us, seemingly reporting our position to every unit in the area. Unless the mi-8 was less than 1km from the prison at the time of the breakout and even then... I'm all for air power making grunts' lives miserable but this seems pretty ridiculous. If you are quick enough when breaking out, noone reports your position, HQ doesn't know, and chopper stays on the ground. The old russian choppers in Chernarus need refuel often (I've heard) so they will hunt you for some minutes (random) and then return to base to refuel for some minutes (also random), and then come after you again (flying to somewhere near your last known position). When I play, we usually run like h*ll from start, to get some distance between us and prison, and lay prone when chopper is above us. Often he doesn't see us. When chopper looks for you at some distance, you know that he has lost track of you. Difficulty has not been increased, but anyway you can set enemy skill and number of enemy units in mission lobby. One thing I have thought about is that road block units are quity aggressive. Maybe I will make them a little less agressive, and just have them guarding their road segment. Sometimes I think there are a little too much armor running around, and traffic and enemies are quite plenty anyway. Anyone agree? To answer your question, there does seem to be an awful lot of armour in the most recent version. And could somebody please, please, PLEASE port this mission over to Fallujah 1.2??? But in the meantime Scruffy and me plan to release an Escape-Pack with modified Chernarus (enemy uses more weapons), Podagorsk, Isla Duala, Celle and Takistan (BACKPACKS!!!). We ran into a bug of some sort on our last attempt that meant the mission script broke (this was after the roadblocks had appeared) and so all the enemies disappeared and there was no boat to pick us up. Edit: Just remembered one other thing: The command bar for the team disappeared from the team leader and all the team-related hud elements vanished (we were playing it on recruit to show new players so all friendly tags vanished) Anyway - hope the report is helpful and thanks for an awesomely fun and challenging mission - our group absolutely love it! Vilos Cohaagen 1 Posted June 28, 2012 Enigma - just wanted to say that your mission has given my group tens of hours of exciting play. On our eighth attempt we finally made it. It was epic - we started at 0400 (in game) and finished at 0700 so we played through the dark of the night and the following dawn. Our successful attempt gave us 4 hours of the most intense play I've had in a single mission. It was nail bighting stuff and we gelled as team, working hard, being stealthy and planning our escape to avoid roads and other known patrol routes. At one point we lost our vehicles in an ambush and had to run 4.5km and it was brilliant! When the boats came over the horizon we were genuinely relieved! Your mission was brilliant, but also highlighted some of the most amazing things about Chernarus like the beautiful dawn in the forests! Like I said - epic! runforrest 10 Posted June 29, 2012 The mission is really a blast, thank u for this masterpiece However the start is a pain in the a.., 40 % of all starts fail because of desynced initialisation (sometimes the guard will just shoot all players right away - when using asr ai the start doesnt work at all, when we play this mission we disable asr ai) plus sometimes the walls of the prison are wrong aligned to the ground and the patrols see u right away, sometimes a bush is in the entrance or bushes are all around and u cant beat ai in such a situation especially when it is 1 gun vs 5 guns. It would be great to have a synchronized start among all clients (i know theres scripts around that do that but i have no idea who made it or what it is named) or maybe add an intro that takes 20-30 seconds so the init can run in background and all clients have a fluent start. Additionally in our group (most of the time we r just 3 or 4 players) we think that most of the time the MI is way to fast. To often its just seconds after the first shots and the MI is already there + a heavy or light armored tank joins the party after 1 minute :butbut: Other than that the mission really rocks, the start just needs a bit polishing :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
BulletstormCH 1 Posted July 11, 2012 Hello Engima First, I want to thank you very very much for the Mission Escape from Chernarus. I played it many times with 2 friends and its awesome! Yesterday, we found some Makarov SD in an Ammo Depot and I wanted to edit the mission so we start already with Makarov SD. I know this wouldn't be very realistic for prisoners, but we like Silenced Pistols very much and we would only use it after we escaped the prison. I have some trouble because i don't know much about editing such missions. How can I open (if I have your permission of course) your mission and give ourselves a Makarov SD with 8 mags on the start?
