fs_twister 1 Posted February 13, 2012 I've been playing GITS Evolution mostly in single player LAN with multiple saves (very limited time for a propper online session during the week). That 12 respawn bug really ruined me a couple of started games and I was really liking the modded experience, so this weekend I've decided to mod by myself the standard missions which appeared worked just fine (could respawn indefinetly). After a whole day of trial and error I think I discovere the root cause, so hope this can help if you did not found it already. On my end the problem appeared only when adding the RKSL Eurofighter jet (which is one of the best planes I could fly in ARMA). Without it I can play it just fine with extra weapons and some of the other planes/vehicles from the modded missions. As soon as that is added the 12 respawn bug appears. I died a lot during the weekend to test the theory in all the maps ;) Hope this helps! Thanks for the great work you guys did on this mission and hope to join sometimes on your public server as well. eggbeast 3685 Posted February 15, 2012 yeah - they all need a little more work - am very busy with RL at the moment, so this is quite a breakthrough - we have a fully functioning mission here. need to edit it a little to finesse the side missions. other than that, the black screen joiner bug is gone andthe 12 spawn freeze is gone, and we've added loads of atmospheric support sounds, so well happy with it atm the ac130 is updated the R3F logistics is built in bloodscreen and rug_dsai is built in the backpacks have all been revised and improved - you can carry one with an MG now, full of MG ammo, which is great other missions will get same treatment soon i promise - most of the work is done tbh Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
HazJ 1289 Posted February 15, 2012 Nice port to CL Afghan, am glad you changed the intro because it was annoying that you had to wait. Love the cleaner base and FOBs. Two Harriers at the HMS GITS explode from the start of the mission, none of the Harriers/other stuff are on the deck. Maybe think of some names for the unnamed towns and place markers on them. I did think about this when designing it - it isn't really necessary - the spy is fun with 6 hides - they get rumbled pretty randomly so fiddling with the settings won't achieve much - especially as they get reset on death.Entering a vehicle is a no-no as you could then run over all the enemy lol Two Harriers at the HMS GITS explode from the start of the mission, none of the Harriers/other stuff are on the deck. yeah we chucked it in from sahrani map - need to take the carrier out Maybe think of some names for the unnamed towns and place markers on them. what do you mean? we call them Hill 215 or whatever feature is nearest. HazJ 1289 Posted February 20, 2012 Bugs found: I loose soldiers under my command when I die. I could not remove the Recon vehicle when I join the server ~ Flipped said this is because I did not deploy it and that you must destroy it first, maybe delete the Recon vehicle on exit of that slot. eggbeast 3685 Posted February 25, 2012 yeah we're testing a new approach to the convoy side missions - pairing objective markers about 2km apart and then having the convoy spawn at A and drive to B, enabling a much better side mission result - the convoys aren't trying to pathfind to a random marker 15km away etc once we know this all works fine we'll roll it out to all maps/ missions Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

eggbeast 3685 Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) now trying this upgraded mission http://www.gitsarma.gamingdeluxe.net/missions/GITSEvolution-Brit_V3.clafghan.pbo you may have tried to download it while i was overwriting it one time?been a lot of traffic to this file recently updated today: engineer can now make a farp with any repair truck (including taki/russian ones) - added to init.sqf an array of repair vehicles and edited etenet sqf to check for presence of anything in this list for engineer making FARP L39 gets a couple of bombs and 2 aphids AN2 gets a box of grenades and twin vickers MG (and a sack of bricks) all side missions now working ok i think - assassination is a beauty - climb on building next to mosque in central city (international hotel marker on map) and snipe the warlord from the roof... - water patrol works fine on river/ boathouse spawns boats just north of FOB reduced the distance to 30m that radio tower and office default markers appear on map to your squad - makes it much more rewarding to be stealthy reconnected reinforcement delay timer (set in parameters) fixed air unit fly in height as they can now cope with the afghan mountain heights added MV22 with cannon truck park at FOB has a range of statics to load in using R3F logistics - great for defending the other FOB's AC130 spooky works really well base raiders come from one of two nearby cities so you never feel safe on the road out Edited February 27, 2012 by eggbeast Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Reading some it says that some works with OA....Anyone have tips of exactly which files/parts will work with just OA? I'm moreso interested in playing sometimes offline play. Does it work like that?
