Those paratroopers can be nasty. :D But what do you mean with "my whole stock depot was empty"? About the reinforcements: There are several patrols moving on dynamic routes as well as some camps scattered around. If the convoys are under attack, there is a random chance that they call these groups (within a certain distance) as reinforcements. Once a convoy reaches the airport, a new group is created which then either builds a new camp or goes on patrol. In addition there are the paratroopers, who are triggered by different conditions. You can avoid these by disabling the radio tower. The gas stations don't have any fuel. I got immersion that bastards calls fro help!. Btw i found working gasstation. I will not spoil where but i bet it was intentional. I was surprised i was not punished with some effect there. Dont know is some disease effect is doable in ARMA 2 scripting. Maybe i want Stalker here and its ARMA :) Well it was 4 weeks later so who knows. About issue. I mean all weapons and magazines simpley disapear from base stock as soon as paratroopers that followed me from last convoy ambush attacked base. Some my solder shouted he is out of ammo and bang in group manager all chached equipment was gone. Aslo i got feel i can get empty solder lines if i hit add/remove soldier buttons too fast. Probably it need reinforcement in code. But with your described method I wasn't able to reproduce the error. Loading 1:55 save, wait untill #4 reports "out of ammo", open equipment editor and all equipment is there. I gave #4 new ammo, took care of the remaining paratroopers, wait another 10 minutes and still no sign of missing equipment. :confused: I've also checked the scripts. But as the equipment is read from an ammobox, there shouldn't be much that could go wrong. Does it happen every time you load the 1:55 save? Have you checked the .RPT for anything suspicious? Right now I'm pretty much out of ideas what could be the problem. I'm going to look into the add/remove buttons and also check the high command part, to avoid "Null-Group" entries. I think it dosent cause any bad, just looks ugly. Yes it happen always after 30sec or so after i load 1:55 save. When you load all is there if you open equipment dialog. After that some time (30sec - 1minute 4th call out of ammo and when you recheck equipment all gone. Just load 1:55 and wait afet 4th shout it should be all gone. If you done already and cant reproduce then it seems this problem is isolated only to me and if no repro you cant fix it (i am sw dev at work so i know very well user bug reports - just "It dosent work" :) ) What is .RPT file? Btw i seized radiotower, and start scacenge again to fill up cleared weapon cache. Very Very cool free form mission. Thats i exactly expected from EW follow up with adding dubbing into cutscenes it can be official EW follow up i bet. Great atmosphere, you are always low on men (cos i cant get ones from trucks :) ), low on ammo (with my chache clearing even more fun :) low on fuel. Real scavenge for survival. I've talked to one of my testers about the missing equipment, but he too wasn't able to reproduce the error. So I'm still quite lost about what might have gone wrong there. However I've reworked some of the group manager scripts and I'm going to look over some other parts of the mission, like convoys, camps and patrols. heklos 0 Posted January 9, 2012 Ok ok ok.. These types of missions are always my favorite on this series of games. Now I have been having much fun hitting the convoys that are driving around, and have had a few that were actually escorted. I have experienced the captives not getting out of the truck bug and when I drove the truck to the base there, the base defenses shot it up... same with a vehicle that I had captured and I lost a whole bunch of ammo and weapons. /sigh. I am using ACE, so I am getting ace related errors, but nothing besides the captive issue from the mission. so.. now that all that is out of the way.. How in the heck do I Destroy the small relay station??? I've tried RPG's, satchel charges and I am about to go get a tank and empty my stores of all explosive weapons But great mission though. Clayman 20 Posted January 9, 2012 Do you have the latest version of the mission (1.30)? The problem with the captives staying in the truck should be fixed. I have just tested it again and for me they disembark as soon as the convoy is being attacked. For each of the relais stations you need two satchels. Only one of the four stations inside the compound has to be destroyed to complete the objective, but it must be the correct one of course. ;) I don't use ACE Mod. I'm not sure what exactly it changes, so I can't say if it breaks any parts of the mission. If in doubt, I'd suggest to play without ACE. BlackADD3R 1 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) With or without addons the mission crashes to desktop after the first task (freeing the 4 hostages in Pushtoshka). At the rebel camp, after I am given all the targets, it fades to black and game stops. I hope there is a solution. Game worked fine before v1.30, I also updated the Arma OA game to 1.60. Maybe this is the issue??? Let me know, I've been trying to fix this for the last 48 hrs...!! ps by no addons I mean, tried vanilla, and removed/ tried with: ACE, warmod, you name it... Clayman 20 Posted January 16, 2012 @BlackADD3R I'm sorry to see that you still are having problems with the mission (and glad you didn't give up yet). I don't know what might cause that ctd. The first error you posted refers to a (maybe corrupt?) savegame. The second is some kind of crash report, but I have no idea what exactly it means. I never had any problems with ctd's in this mission and as nobody else mentioned anything so far, I doubt that it's the mission itself. Have you tried to re-download the mission? If it still doesn't work, do what Tonci said. Let Arma create a new RPT and post it here. @josche Glad you enjoyed the mission. BlackADD3R 1 Posted January 16, 2012 No problem, I'll work a it, the first version of the mission worked fine for me, it is since the arma2 1.60 patch and the newer zero mission that it stopped working past the initial Pushtoska episode. I will go back and remove any addons I have added since then, to see if its at my end. Maybe I put something where I shoudnt have, maybe there's a conflict somewhere. I went back to the first edition of Zero and now it too crashes in the same spot so maybe its somethin I did since then....anyway I like the challenges of solving these problems and i always learn something new. BlackADD3R 1 Posted January 17, 2012 WTF...out of hopelessness I did something I never did before, I downloaded a beta patch (beta88147) just for the heck of it and it ran past the crash point and Zero is playing....I knew it had to do with the latest 1.60 patch. I am way too anal with my mod folders and addons to mess something up... All hail BIS community..all hail this excellent game...now I have a power station to go blow up...until next time.... BlackADD3R 1 Posted January 17, 2012 thank you...yes, had fun last night finally chipping away at it, took over the radio tower. I ran it again without the beta and my savegame worked fine again after that temporary glitch. So basically the beta allowed me to 'skip' over the problem...strange...well that's ArmA, wonderful and painful simultaneously. I did have a strange glitch where my friendly AI would not regroup and actually took off in the opposite direction during combat leaving me alone to fight briefly. Two AIs actually got a couple of valleys away from my position and kept asking "1- what is your position!" Anyway, this is great, I am playing with @A2Warmod,@asc;@RHweapons...all working well.
