Mission Requirements

ArmA2 version: Combined Operations

Island: Zargabad

Addons required: ACE

Optional addons: ACRE

Mission Objectives

***********************************************

Your objectives are to find and kill the Takistani Army Commander, destroy the enemies fuel supply, destroy the enemies ammo cache and finally clear Zargabad of all enemies.

You have 2 medics and 1 IED specialist per squad. IED specialists carry an IED detector and are potentially able to defuse the IED threat. This is a close quarters battle so go slow.

Enable/disable sniper rifles in ammo crates.

Enable/disable TWS weapons in ammo crates.

Enable/disable crew served weapons in ammo crates.

Vehicle crew system. See who is in your vehicle.

Randomly located IEDs.

IED Detection scripts by Reezo of SR5 Tactical and modified for purpose by [KH]Jman.

Good mission, well deserved it's name.

We killed 493 dudes in ~30 hours.

About 9 hours of actual gameplay.

(We were only 5-6 ppl) :D

About 30 :D i guess that's ok.

We had at least 3 situations were IEDs killed the whole fireteam. Evil things. One blew off a fuel station and we all were buried under the debris from the surrounding buildings.

At one point we were forced to hold a big building, we were shooting through all windows and the enemies kept approaching from all sides. About 30 minutes i think. That was awesome. :D

I was tinkering with something very similar, but seeing as you've done it already - great stuff! Looking forward to giving this a go.

Having not looked at the mission yet I don't know what respawn scripts you are using, but have you considered using the MSO Nomad module for this? The ability to reconnect in the same place you left, plus setting the total number of lives available would add a nice edge to what looks like a great mission already.

@friznit2 This mission uses the ACE wounding system with parameters you can set at the start. Just click ESC twice to respawn.

With some limitations it will work in singleplayer. It's scripted for multiplayer.

Hi is this mission meant to be played from a dedi server?.

Reason I ask

I had VD set to 3000

well I was playing and hosting from same PC I could see no more than 500m where as me mates could see the full 3000.

This really is hell......:yay:

Managed 4 hours of gaming with 6 of us and still didnt breach the city properly.

But on the plus side we didnt loose anyone to a proper "death", managed to recover everyone with the ACE revive. My god there was a lot of medical kit used up.

Over 120 enemy killed though, so i'd say it was a good try.

Yes it is designed for dedicated. You should be able to adjust viewdistance clientside no problem at all with a VD addon or similar.

@Shadow.D. ^BOB^. Glad you are enjoying it, we've had a lot of fun playing it too. If you can get to the Villa and secure the buildings it makes for a good FOP into the city.
