maddogx 13 Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) Yes its arma3 :P Yup. There aren't enough expletives in the english language to convey the joy I feel. Btw.: www.arma3.comRegistered by "Viktor Mrnustik", some guy in Czech. It's hosted on .cz domain It's a 'fan' site that isn't updated, and contains no real information, screenshots, etc. So what purpose does it serve? It's got a prime domain name, yet it has no advertising, so the owner isn't trying to cash in on the page hits... odd? If you were BIS, would you really let that domain name go to waste? It's domain registar was updated 20th April 2011. Mean nothing? Arma4.com was registered 20th April 2011... Czech isn't known for hackers, spammers and domain squatters. There must be a link here with the owner and BIS. I've been thinking exactly this. If I wanted to keep a project secret, while at the same time securing all the relevant domains before others can snatch them up, I would have a friend reg it for me and make it look either parked, or minimally used. If BIS really are planning to reveal Arma3, it can be safely assumed that they have been developing it for some time. They probably even secured Arma3.com at the same time as Arma2.com, simply because holding a domain is cheap. Edited May 18, 2011 by MadDogX

NeMeSiS 11 Posted May 18, 2011 Oh the dissapointment if it turns out to be that BI just decided to register that domain because they forgot earlier, and we helpfully reminded them of that fact in this topic. :p

ProfTournesol 956 Posted May 18, 2011 Yup. There aren't enough expletives in the english language to convey the joy I feel. A little too early i'm afraid. AmA3 domain name belongs to BIS, that's not a big deal.
the_antipop 10 Posted May 18, 2011 Oh the dissapointment if it turns out to be that BI just decided to register that domain because they forgot earlier, and we helpfully reminded them of that fact in this topic. :p Then BIS should just be one big troll face :P A little too early i'm afraid. AmA3 domain name belongs to BIS, that's not a big deal. Not when it was a community site yesterday, now it's down the day before the BIS announcement and dns servers are bistudio... abit of a coincidence...? maddogx 13 Posted May 18, 2011 A little too early i'm afraid. AmA3 domain name belongs to BIS, that's not a big deal. The domain was previously registered by some unknown Czech guy hosting some weird mini-fansite - now suddenly, 24 hours before BIS are to make some kind of announcement that was led up to by an intricate two week long ARG, the domain holder changes to BIS and the site goes offline. You're telling me that's a coincidence?
pathetic_berserker 4 Posted May 18, 2011 Yep it appears all roads lead to A3... F.U. gonk, thats a sweet spot. Got my shit eatn' grin on now and it's gona kill me to lose it if we're wrong. See ya round ;)

maddogx 13 Posted May 18, 2011 It must be a blind alley, it can not be true! NO!!! I told you I would be holding on to that quote of yours. :D Btw. Arma3 doesn't necessarily have to have much higher system reqs than Arma2.
Gedis 0 Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) I'll stay sceptical, but if it really will be arma3, then F*ck it, I will resign as adult and be like this: XgFLOM9xMGg P.S. almost 24hours till the announcement Edited May 18, 2011 by Gedis
the_antipop 10 Posted May 18, 2011 I told you I would be holding on to that quote of yours. :DBtw. Arma3 doesn't necessarily have to have much higher system reqs than Arma2. Exactly. Difference between ArmA 1 and 2 wasn't too significant. They could have just optimised the engine alot, similar to Cryengine 2 and 3.
stupidwhitekid75 11 Posted May 18, 2011 Well then I hope that if there is an A3 that A2/OA content is usable/at par. We got so many nice things along with it why make something that new already? RAAAAGGEEE
anc 0 Posted May 18, 2011 I just hope that if its really Arma 3, that they have made expressive changes in the engine. If not i would rather have another expansion. Best regards
