I got the error WARNING: ACRE is not connected to Teamspeak. but i have done everything what it says. how the hell do I get it working?

Well, repeating your self here is not going to get your problems resolved. You have to post it on there website. There is not much support here. :)

At our community, almost everyone got the same or similar problems as rikjuuh is experiencing and for what it looks like to me, the problems are most likely be caused by @ACRE and/or @jayarma2lib MOD folder NOT being removed before installation.

We are yet to confirm that cause but if ACRE team already recommends removing those MOD folders, the best way is to take care of the removal process by the installer executable, or at least there should be a note in the installer that the removal is recommended.

follow up:

11 out of 13 people got it working after deleting the MOD folders before installation.

2 out of 13 had "ACRE not connected to Teamspeak" issue as similar as http://tracker.idi-systems.com/issues/35

follow up again:

1 of the 2 guys who were having "ACRE not connected to Teamspeak" issue solved it by deactivating UAC of Windows 7.

Yet to solve the second guys error with this method, but it'll most likely solve this way.

ok I got it working. just kept reinstalling, for some weird reason it worked after the 5th or 6th time reinstalling :P

jaynus, Good day!

I have so big trouble with addon, look:

I play clear TVT Domination 2.5y (Ranked) on my dedicated server with @ACRE, @jayArma2Lib (im not noob, i know how config maps and server, signatures and mod verification disbled). I include ACRE radios in rank system and ammo boxes correctly (have expirience+manuals, i am try add ACRE_PRC119 and ACE_PRC119), in no ranked type all ok.

If i lauch client game with @ACRE - mod, i can't take radio items (119,117F,77), but prc 148 allow to get.

If i lanch client game with NO ACRE - radios allow pickup...

Whats trouble, maby i do something wrong?!

I would still highly recommend migrating, despite the beta standard of TS3. this is why the installers have a self contained version of TS3, to prevent "retard-alert" with the move.

We run on average 40-80 players @ UnitedOperations every single night of play (~300-400 actual players), so really we have gone through all the possible retard-error permutations you could possibly imagine. If you have absolutely any other questions or need assistance with common issues, feel free to hop on our ts.

@J-Guid: sounds like server isnt running acre, or domi is messed up. I dont have much insight into this, since we dont run domi as a primary mission.

@Everyone else: Expect 1.2.8 today; We have retrans fixed and some other minor bug fixes.

Yes. It was a hotfix for pre12, so there is no version increase and it is safe to use.

Jaynus, look i try use other maps, and self created missions, with any acre version on different servers, this problem stay actually!!! Believe to me!!!

I ask to consider possible variants of correction of the given problem with radios.

I will repeat once again the problem:

Default Domi2.57 mission(and other scenarios), without manual corrections, I launch the dedicated server without check of signatures, it is connected only ACE and ACRE if ACRE it is connected on the server it is impossible to take ANY backpak-radio items if on the server it is not connected acre, it is possible to take a radio.

All it happens in RANK system!!!

Correct please, I not who it haven'ted the first.

Check up itself if you don't trust me! Man

Are you sure that you're running ACRE on the server?

You can only use one backpack radio at a time so you can't carry round a 119 and a 117.

Could be a problem with domination, all the missions I've played during the last 4 months have had almost no problems with ACRE. But I almost never play domination.

The prc148 look a lot like the standard item_radio so that might be it. If you're not running ACRE on the server you'll see the standard radios but when picking up a ACE_prc119 it wont work as a radio. You just end up with a heavy backpack..

How to get it

- Go to where you installed teamspeak. There should be (among other things) a executable called "update"

- In this folder create or edit the file called "update.ini", after you are done with it the contents should be:

beta=true

- Save the file, start TeamSpeak and go to Help->Check for Update, it should report a new version available.

is there a way to create a "cheater" Radio?

i use Sandbox maps and the missionmaker have always to teleport close to player if he want to hear theyr chatt

isnt it possible to make a Radio that can lockin every frequency on every range?

best and easiest solution is: take the ingame-voice of arma for such things.

or: unmark the acre-plug in teamspeak.

Easiest way to do it is as themaster303 say. Don't load ACRE into teamspeak, then you'll hear everyone speaking at the same time.

The vehicle radio code itself is done.

This interaction menu stuff is the beginning of integrating it into usability.

e.g. we have all the code for it, but its just not accessible to the user yet. Once we confirm interaction is working, we are going to migrate that and some features into the interaction menus :)

Jaynus, forgive me if this has been asked before in one of the other ACRE threads. My team and I play in different era mods every once in a while, IE- Invasion 44, the Unsung mod, and we love using ACRE. My question is, after doing research of period radios in use at that time, how would one go about implementing those radios into ACRE?

I have some experience with making the .paa radio interface images, plus know how to create the dialog to make it seem as if you are actual turning dials, or clicking switches. But as far as coding, do we just put in a ticket with the given info on Dev-Heaven, or is there something a lone user can do?

In no way do I intend to re-invent the wheel with all of your teams hard work. I would just like to implement radios of the period into other parts of ArmA 2. I also understand that by putting in a "request" ticket, that it may rank low among other priorities that you all have. Just wanted to try and keep realism up, and maybe in some way, help add more radios to ACRE
