Tonci87 163 Posted March 10, 2011 (edited) Well my old Speedlink Medusa NX 5.1 USB is broken on one side, I am not a fan of Mono Sound so please recomend a new one. When I first got it I was really impressed. But after nearly a year living with it I have only two issues with it. 1 - The cable from the left headset is made form stiff plastic. This becomes fragile with repeated use, exposing the copper and cables inside. 2 - The Middle cushion piece broke off after 8-9 months. This left two screws hanging down which occasionally grazes the top of my head. Having said all that. It is a bloody good headset. The sound quality is excellant and according to my mates the mic is crystal clear. So I would recomend it if you can find a cheap deal. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rumsfield 1 Posted March 10, 2011 I also own the Roccat Kave 5.1 headset, and have owned them for about 8 months. I am very happy with them, I have owned several 5.1 headsets over the past several years, and I can tell you these are not perfect but they are good. I am still waiting for the ULTIMATE 5.1 headset to be designed. Before I decided on the Roccat Kave 5.1's I was also considering the Psycho 5.1(http://www.psykoaudio.com/index.php/Psyko-5.1.html) but from what I have read they are overpriced and lack bass, also they are discontinued. Perhaps their Carbon and Krypton will be better. Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions. They are comfortable, sound good and I have had no issues with them at all, nothing has broke, but I am pretty good about taking care of my stuff. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

SD_BOB 10 Posted March 10, 2011 I would recommend the Roccat Kave 5.1 aswell. On my second pair now after being stupid and standing up too fast, nearly ripping the cable out of the headset the first time round. Very good build quality and comfortable, good sound quality and bass. Best of all no stupid USB connection (well there is but its only to provide power for the lights) like most others.
