Patch 1.56 Bug reports

I've been hearing of a number of servers that are having repeated crashes during multiple versions of warfare ever since patch 1.55 and continuing with 1.56.

After going through this thread a post Bomba made, http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1803944&postcount=73, pretty much matches with with what keeps appearing in our RPT file.

If it bothers you so much then don't use it..nobody is forcing your hand really. .I'm just happy that they give us the DLC regardless of quality and let us use it, how many companies do you know of that would do that?

Takistani soldiers have facial texture issues. Their skin tends to go white at distances, creating a sparkle effect that gives away their position and looks a lot like muzzle flashes.

This is of course the same issue that many people have had since Arma 2 1.0 with textures not always loading, but you could solve this specific problem by making their low-res placeholder skin color not pure white.

How about a few more content fixes? The Takistani soldiers dont have blood textures.. thats a major bug.. maybe you could look into the FOV on the BTR-60's driver position? It puts a perfectly good vehicle to waste..

Do we have CIT tickets for this already?

Well the Out of Memory Error has reared its ugly head again.

I never had this problem in 1.55 but now in 1.56 i get it more or less dead on the hour mark and noticed that the game, when it crashes, is using as much as 1,000,000K in memory. It seems to just increase and increase till it explodes (crashes). This happens with both vanilla arma2/op/baf/pmc lite and with addons so it defiently nothing to do with addons.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Only seems to happen in Warfare Both Vanilla and modded versions as well as in user made mission Call to Glory (perfect exmaple for replecating as stated on linked thread) user made mission, So far other missions seem ok but i haven't tried the campaigns yet other than PMC light.

P.S does anyone know where i can upload the RPT files etc as zip for the devs? (oh and for free of course)

Iv seen that the M1A1 tanks back gear, the one that makes the tracks move sticks out past the tracks. Its been like this since i think 1.52 just have not use the M1A1 that much. Its like the track on it is to small or that the gear for the back is to big.

Since Patch 1.56 gives a problem on the Move-Anim´s. When will start the crawl on the ground, flip the Weapon strong to right side, and the left arm (forearm) was strongly enforced (stretched).

since this patch I got the problem that the lasers on the weapons look very "fat". The beam itself looks like it is 10cm thick, at least. It's not the sharp, fine line anymore that it used to be before the patch :confused: ... am I alone with this? (no search result)

Same here.

The old laser Beam (green version) was nice and smooth.

I forgot to mention that this happens without any mods etc. -> I just have to place a group on chernarus and set the time to night to feel like Luke Skywalker. Apart from that I got the - brandnew - problem that highres-textures sometimes load too slow or not at all. Trees then look like a watercolor painting of a five-year-old. But I guess this is a well known problem, at least I hope. I never had that before.

Nevertheless I want to thank BIS for the BEST GAME EVER and I mean it. I hope some patches will make me happy again.

That is something I get also ,with PP FX on normal and above.Maybe it`s intended ,I don`t know.Lower values fixed that for me though.

Not for me... Intended? I think not, as I said this problem is new. (Sometimes it gets thicker depending on the angle you look at it. Ugly for sure.) Haven't tried out the new beta though.

just tested the latest beta. fat-skywalker-laser-problem seems to be solved.

whatever it was, it's gone... now I can sleep again and dream of slim lasers.
