Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) Hey wipman, that message you get for "you can download 1.07" everyone gets that. But when you join an Arma2 server, do you have WarMod running, or any addons/mods other then stock Arma2? also do you have battleye? make sure you have that--->http://www.battleye.com/ not having battleye will kick you. Also what is the color of the dot next to the server/s you are trying to join, red, orange, obviously not green. Script @GMJ_SightAdjustment\Addons\rangecard_list.txt not found I to get the same error even though the file is supposed to be where its at. I took it out of the update I have coming I'm not going to deal with it, plus I never used those features, if you use ACE2 then you have site adjustment as well on the sniper rifles, and thats what I use anyways if you guys want it in yor game then have at it but I'm taking it out of WarMod, more of a rerelease then an update. I'm hoping to have this all said and done by the end of today (Sunday 10,2010), and then after I get this done I will get the ACE2 compatible version either when I get the mod rereleased or after. Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 11, 2010 UPDATE: Ok fellas, sorry for the delay, I was hoping to have A2WarMod files done and up with links on Sunday but i got delayed as i was awaiting responses for some permissions. However today will be the day that I will be rereleasing. I shouldn't have to do this but the mod simply wasn't ready when I released FPDR it before so I guess you can say it was a beta. -So far all i have to do is zip the stock A2WarMod -create the installer for the stock and do a zip file for the Ace compatible version. Then after all that I will upload to my host and post the links, as well as send the links to Foxhound on Armaholic. I will have this done today! Thanks for your patience. Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) -UPDATE- Ok fellas as promised, I am Rereleasing A2WarMod. I tested this quite a bit and came up with no errors, I tested A2WarMod on Stock Arma2 patched to 1.07, the mod was built on Arma2 and is for Arma2, please dont ask me if it compatible with OA, or BAF, as I dont know and as said before the mod was built and tested on Arma2 1.07 I created 2 versions: 1st version is only A2WarMod which contains about if not over 117 addons/mods from the Arma2 community fixes, enhancements, features ect., this version has the Dynamic sound system also known as HARCP, thisin a way will act as a sound mod for the game. Now if you dont like HARCP then go into A2WarMod addons folder and remove all the pbos/bisighns that say Harcp. A2WarMod ACE Compatible Version 2nd Version Is the A2WarMod ACE Compatible version. this version has been made compatible with ACE2, and yes I got permission from the ACE Team thats what delayed me. A2WarModSM Also there is a sound mod I put together that is included with this version, the folder is titled @A2WarModSM it contains files from HIFI and ACESM, you can use the sound mod if you wish. If you do use the A2WarModSM then be sure to have ACE installed as the sounds the ACESM sounds require ACE. The following are the downloads: Download:A2WarMod w/HARCP ZIP FILE: https://www.4shared.com/file/3BUtjdLS/A2WarMod.html INSTALLER https://www.4shared.com/file/sKnFx3hW/A2WarMod.html A2WarMod ACE Compatible Version ZIP FILE: https://www.4shared.com/file/Vs4N--OP/A2WarMod_ACE_Compatible.html In the A2WarMod ACE compatible version there is a sound mod I put together that requires ACE. This Ace Compatible version will not have HARCP in it. Last but not least I built a readme listing all the addon/mods in A2WarMod, and provided links in case someone wanted to further look into a addon/mod that was in A2WarMod, this list is below: -=/// A2WARMOD Mod Links\\\=- by Günter Severloh V 1.1 2010 The Following are all the Links to every addon / Mod in A2WarMod: Gravel road speed http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7542&highlight=ANDY_GRAVELROADSPEED Andy mags - Ammo Object Replacement http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9341 ASR Grenadier Fix http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8618&highlight=ASR_CFGWEAPONS_FIX_GRENADIERS ASR Disable Cursor Text http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8504 Anti-tank Launcher vs. Infantry Fix http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10752 Ballistics http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8527 Scopes http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8528 Muzzlevelocity http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7697 BC6 Feelings http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8284 Driving AI fix http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6882 Dynamic Shouts http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10584 Fixed Range Nightvision http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6251 GDT Mod Binocular http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6626 GDT Mod Car MG Zoom http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9903 GDT Mod Flares http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9905 GDT Mod Javelin http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7426 GDT Mod Plants http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7549 GDT Mod Rifle zoom http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9907 GDT Mod Satchel http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9908 GDT Mod Under-slung Grenade Launcher sights http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9910 GDT Mod Grass http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6628 GDT Mod anti tank & grenade launcher ironsights http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9508 Infantry Stealth and Recognition Skills http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9604 Mi-24 "radar" and targeting fix http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10901 PROPER projects http://dev-heaven.net/wiki/proper-projects/PROPER_projects#Unsorted-releases http://dev-heaven.net/projects/proper-projects/repository/revisions/36019041869f17dc5772a01747bb859ec291f8d7 http://dev-heaven.net/projects/proper-projects/repository/revisions/896618b4bf6fbfcb716a2809559ac5d815f2ff0e Radio Discipline http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8986 TBR Grenades A2 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6993 VF Ladder http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10257 VFAI - AI Extension http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6844 Zeus AI Combat Skills & AI Spotting modular http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8250 Dynamic Sound AI (RUG DSAI) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6092 TRSM Tracked Vehicles Sound mod http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6223 BD MultiGunFix (v 1.4) http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=1422 AT GUI Pack (v 1.3) http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=962 GLT Aerial Weapons Replacement Pack http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10486 Night lighting effects http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7137&highlight=NIGHT+LIGHTING+EFFECTS LandTex http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6050 JTD FireAndSmoke http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7383 WarFX Particles http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8182 WarFX Tracers http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8165 Improved Tank/APC Armor http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9651 Dynamic Sound System RC1 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11271 AircraftHUD - MFD/IHADSS/TADS http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9067 RMM_noMapTex http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8509 AH64 Apache Nose Gun Modification http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9096 zGuba Gameplay Modifications (v 21.09.2009) http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=1055 The WarMod Website will be updated when i get to it, address is in my sig. kyfohatl 10 Posted October 12, 2010 @Günter Severloh: I remember (a while ago) coming across you ARMA war mod by acident. I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if someone made something like this for ARMA2?" I couldn't find anything simillar at the time. Earlier today as I was reading one of your posts (can remember which one now), I saw the link to this thread . Anyway, great job. This is mod is really a compaliation of most of my prefred mods. Thanks. Such a shame I have to wait for a while before I can downloaded though. I've got dial-up speed internet, and have to wait till next month before my internet speed is restored back to full (which is pretty slow anyway) :(.
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 12, 2010 Thanks very much. I feel your pain brother, Dialup is no way to play a game like this. I would never go back to it, if if they gave it to me free for life, its not worth the time and effort it takes to get things done. You could read a book before stuff loads for a dialup. couldnt you have a friend download the mod for you and then have him burn it to a disc?
domokun 515 Posted October 12, 2010 Or go to an internet cafe, download it and copy it onto a USB drive?
kyfohatl 10 Posted October 13, 2010 Or go to an internet cafe, download it and copy it onto a USB drive? Tried that once. Can't remember what I was downloading, but the size was around 400 MB. Anyway the guy who ran the place got pissed off cause apparantly it causes slowdon for everyone else, and it costs him too much (I suggested extra payment, but he wouldn't listen). So yeah, its VERY annoying having slow internet (this is why I can never get mods like ACE). I really should get faster internet... couldnt you have a friend download the mod for you and then have him burn it to a disc? Yeah, I might try that one (I've gained a few of my mods that way). Cheers
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 13, 2010 Anyone tried A2WarMod with other mods yet? I actually didn't test WarMod with any other mods other then ACE2 like I did with the Arma version, so I am just wondering if theres any errors or if it really enhances the other mods. As far as I know there shouldn't be any problems, but I'd like to get some feedback to see how its working for everyone, the last version I came out with was running very smooth and quick for me, it was actually better then the version I was playing with all the time. Also anyone use the installer version, and what version of WarMod did you go for?
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 13, 2010 Small UPDATE: This update adds the Armaholic Links: Download:A2WarMod w/HARCP ZIP FILE: https://www.4shared.com/file/3BUtjdLS/A2WarMod.html INSTALLER https://www.4shared.com/file/sKnFx3hW/A2WarMod.html ARMAHOLIC DOWNLOAD: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12254 A2WarMod ACE Compatible Version ZIP FILE: https://www.4shared.com/file/Vs4N--OP/A2WarMod_ACE_Compatible.html ARMAHOLIC DOWNLOAD: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12344 In the A2WarMod ACE compatible version there is a sound mod I put together that requires ACE. This Ace Compatible version will not have HARCP in it. Note:The ACE compatible version has a sound mod that I put together using HIFI and ACESM, on Armaholic it says ACE Core files are required. ACE core files are only required if you use the sound mod in A2WarMod ACE Compatible version. The A2WarMod Ace Compatible version has addon/mods in it that were removed that are in the other version that is not ace compatible. Keep in mind that A2WarMod is a compilation mod, if you do not care for a feature, then simply take it out. Being a compilation mod doesn't mean that the mod is set in stone, which means you cannot change anything, you can customize the mod to how you want. If you need assistance in removing or adding, or finding out which addon/mod does what in A2WarMod either ACE compatible version or the regular version then either review the feature readme included in the download, or review the page at my website which is in my sig, or post a reply to the A2WarMod Release thread here, and I will help you out. last but not least, If anyone is up to putting together a video demonstrating A2WarMod then that would be great. Any questions, concern, thoughts, or even ideas, then post your reply, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) So only Link update and No Mod Update ok...? i almost dowloaded it again lmao Ya Armaholic links have been updated and now added with the other links. Plus I had to recompile the files for the Ace compatible version as I had Ace core files included when it wasn't necessary, so I had that link updated. So everything is good to go. Is anyone using the A2WarModSM that is included with the A2WarMod Ace Compatible version? How does it sound to you? The 1.1 version of the mod is just a reorganized, and a better compiled, Its pretty much bug free, it is on my end and it was tested with stock Arma2 patched to 1.07. Running pretty smooth now, actually runs better for me now and faster, my game seems to load alot quicker. excellent compilation thank you, have you tried the Armed Assault version of WarMod, its ausome, My buddy and I have 2 gameservers one for Arma and Arma2 ad have WarMod running on both, we play Arma about as much as Arma2, its a serious blast. I'm yet to try Unsung mod with WarMod, but I got caught up working. Anyways any comments, questions, or thoughts, then post your reply. Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 15, 2010 Thank you. I never heard of Hexagone mod, do you have a link to it? Also if your game is freezing it could be something else. What are your computer specs? What game are you running Arma only? Is your game patched? Which A2WarMod are you using the regular or the ACE compatible version? Tim987 10 Posted October 15, 2010 It's a mod that adds the French Army. Here is a link to their website : http://hexagon-team.net/web/gallery/gallery.php?cat=2 Good quality mod, but sadly, I haven't heard from them for a little while.
soldaten 0 Posted October 16, 2010 Awesome mod..Can I add maybe SLX or Zeus to make AI more smarter
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) Ya you can, theres no limits, however you dont need to add Zeus as its already in the mod: Heres all the AI stuff in the mod: * Anti-tank Launcher vs. Infantry Fix by Zipper5 Description: The AI since ArmA has always been inclined to use their rocket launchers at range rather than their rifles. Many fixes for this were made for ArmA, but none have been made, to my knowledge, for Arma 2. Therefore, I decided to make this simple addon. I saw a lot of people harping on about it in the OA thread, so hopefully this can put the whining to rest. Included .pbo files: zp5_at_fix.pbo * Driving AI fix by Sakura_Chan Description: It tweaks the AI driving variables to the point that vehicles are able to turn more accurately, with fewer back and forth motions. The bigger trucks had a ridiculous and unrealistic turn radius making them hit everything. This has been corrected. The AI can drive for what could be called a boring amount of time, without crashing or getting stuck on fences and streetlamps. Included files: sakudriver2.pbo * Infantry Stealth and Recognition Skills by Mysteryman5150 Description: This mod allows the user to adjust several specific AI variables that effect the stealth movement and recognition skills of the game. It comes with a file an HPP file that goes into the userconfig folder, which is where the adjustments are made (instructions are located in the file). Attributes that can be adjusted: - Audible - How load a unit is when moving - Camouflage - How easy a unit is to see - Sensitivity - How well and how far the given unit senses other units - SensitivityEar - How well can the given unit hear others units - Units defined: - All vanilla factions/units - Then broken down into 3 categories each (if required) - Categories include: - Basic Infantry units - Snipers, spotters, marksmen, scouts and units with silenced weapons - Launchers including AT, AA and RPG units Included .pbo files: inf_stealth_recognition.pbo * Radio Discipline by Lamandus Description: I was tired of all the "moving", "covering", "Go I cover" messages all over the radio. Thats why I got rid of the messages and changed "target THAT" to "target" and "engage THAT" to "attack" (engage solo was not avaibable) ("contact" got out as well, like "clear") 2 versions: Normal= like told above extrem= no "Target" Messages Included .pbo files: radio_discipline.pbo radio_discipline_extr.pbo * Zeus AI Combat Skills & AI Spotting modular by Protegimus Description: This mod improves the ability of AI soldiers in a number of key areas: - Improves AI's ability to spot and engage enemy, extending engagement ranges out to 500m and beyond - Changes the speed at which an AI can get a bead on a target - The AI now reacts to effective enemy fire, before taking casualties - Accuracy is changed to ensure sustained firefights take place, allowing movement under contact with good use of cover. Ammunition dispersion and weapon accuracy are not changed - AI use smoke and frag. Be aware of your enemy's ability to throw frags! - AI hearing ability is reduced to realistic levels, enabling a player to make stealthy close quarter approaches providing he can remain unseen - Vehicle gunners now react to enemy fire - Building on the native game feature, AI characters have varying ability to spot enemy according to role. This is to represent equipment and training variation, e.g. Observers, Snipers and Officers with Binoculars have greater ability to detect enemy - Sniper teams that make effective use of tactics, cover & concealment can now carry out their mission, especially at extended engagement ranges - Careful movement and correct use of formation is now an important factor in improving a soldiers survivability, as are planned ingress and egress routes - AI react more aggressively under contact and don't give up as easily - Injuries occur more frequently in firefights. Good drills and wise medics are now an essential part of the game It is fully tested in single and multiplayer and causes no known issues. For coop multiplayer, it is recommended to be installed both on the server and clients. If the server is running the mod and you choose not to install it client side, then any AI you command will be at a disadvantage compared to the server controlled AI. It has greatly increased the immersion and challenge of coop play for Zeus, hope you enjoy it! Included .pbo files: zeu_cfg_core_ai_sensors.pbo zeu_cfg_core_ai_skills.pbo zeu_cfg_core_ai_spotting.pbo zeu_cfg_core_ai_engagement.pbo * Dynamic Sound AI (RUG DSAI) by Wolfrug and Sickboy Description: It gives your and the enemies AI a voice beyond the stale radio messages Features: * Ready made scripts for Dynamic Sound AI that is easily modifiable by the end-user. * Your AI will shout curses at the enemy, tell you when they're reloading, throwing a grenade, engaging, when they're hurt, fleeing or when they've scored a big kill! And much more. * Works in both SP, client-side MP and server-side MP * Features English, Arab, Russian and Spanish voices by default * Can assign voices to all sides (BLUFOR, OPFOR, Independent, Civilian, SideEnemy) * Easily activated/deactived by mission makers, addon makers or server admins as required, using global variables and config entries (see below for more information) * Auto-initialization using CBA (fully CBA compatible) Included .pbo files: RUG_DSAIRUS.pbo RUG_DSAISPA.pbo RUG_DSAIArab.pbo RUG_DSAIGen.pbo RUG_DSAIENG.pbo RUG_DSAI.pbo I reccomend: Group Link 4 Special FX Edition by SNKMAN http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8848&highlight=GL4 For AI. It would have been in WarMod but I didn't get permission from him on this one. For SLX just add it to the end of the Target line. Keep in mind that all the features listed in A2WarMod are listed on the front page, and are also in the readme that comes with the download, and all the features and more info are listed on my website. soldaten 0 Posted October 18, 2010 The Weapon Sights are back to normal when I use SLX or GL4. I wanted to create a mission for Urban Warfare, which is the best mod with Urban ai Settings, (SLX or GL4), like moving into buildings and using cover?
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 18, 2010 Its probably the SLX returning the sites back as I use GL4 and my assault weapons still zoom into iron sights. Is there a userconfig you can tweak for SLX? For urban AI GL4 I'd say as its mainly an AI mod with included FX. I have it in the Arma version of WarMod along with ECS and it really enables the AI to put up a fight.
domokun 515 Posted October 18, 2010 Günter : any reason why VFAI is included if you've now added Robalo's ASR AI Rearm mod?
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 19, 2010 I never added Robalo's ASR AI Rearm mod. Theres only these two mods of his in A2WarMod: * ASR Grenadier Fix * ASR Disable Cursor Text
luap 10 Posted October 20, 2010 Günter Severloh, Wow, thanks for all the hard work you put into testing and putting this compilation together. I downloaded both of your compilations and its working great. So I have ACE2 still stand alone in my ArmA2 folder so as to use profiles in AlpineStars ArmA2 Launcher (love choices). Tested on Multi-player and on my local machine without any problems other then the ones you listed. Fantastic write up, REALLY ! All the information at your fingers tips - you really took the time and trouble for us :D That's a cool web site for your compilation - The youtube movies were a plus :p I have not tested with other mods as of yet but will test ASAP ! This community for ArmA is terrific.
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted October 20, 2010 Thanks luap You really dont need both compilations, unless of course you want to play with Harcp for the reg warmod, and the have the warmod sound mod in the ace version, otherwise the only difference between the reg version of A2WarMod and the Ace Compatible version is the Ace version dont have the HARCP, as well as about 5-6 mods that do the same things that ace does. If those weren't taken out then its very possible there would be errors or conflicts, and not serious ones like crashes and what not, but enough to annoy you when your start things up or are playing. If you like the Arma2 WarMod you should check out the WarMod version for Armed Assault Combat operations. For the Videos, I been actually working alot to really have the time to put together a video for A2WarMod thats why i don't have one this time around. Maybe when I get some free time i will put one together, in a way its somewhat challenging to put a vid together to try to demonstrate or get an idea of what WarMod looks like as theres are 117+ addons/Mods in it so I have to record something general, and kinda of put some focus on some features that stand out more then others. The WarMod Website was Built from scratch, its a freewebs website where they give you a blank page and tools, so I spent a few weeks in 2009 building the site, more so as I was adding stuff to it. I have a small project currently for the forums where I will be adding avatars, Icons, and wallpapers to download, my buddy who is the admin on the site built all those. The Banner on top of WarMod site is his creation, its alright but I'm trying to get him to add the one from before as it looks better, and hes supposed to make me a sig for the forums here, but has been busy himself. Anyways thanks for the reply, and any questions, or comments, then dont hesitate to ask.
