Vultar 0 Posted October 5, 2010 I am having a strange problem with Post Effects in both games. After a while of using them my eyes hurt and head aches. I am getting annoyed. That is why I must keep these effects off. Anyone knows reason for that? Anyone else having the problem? Thanks.
Jelliz 10 Posted October 5, 2010 Go to options -> Graphics and set the post processing to the desired level. More about the post process settings here.

dmarkwick 261 Posted October 6, 2010 Maybe you're suffering from some strain brought on by the fake depth blurring? Perhaps your brain is trying to focus your eyes on blurry parts to bring them back into focus, but cannot?

Not experiencing that problem myself, although I do play with PP on low, which doesn't have the blur effect.
Nephris1 10 Posted October 6, 2010 Anyone knows reason for that? .... What is that? Did you read my post before replying? Do you expect a physiological explanation? In that case the ophtalmological would be my first adress instead. He just tried to give ya a hand on how to turn it off or lower the effect If u suffering on it, turn it off and test if it works then for ya. You probably need some glasses or stronger ones if you already got one. At the end this is a gaming forum. And no, i am neither suffering on headache or similar. whisper 0 Posted October 6, 2010 Disable or set to a minimum the "headbob" parameter in the "Game Options" will help a lot, too, to lower your headache issues
Vultar 0 Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) Maybe you're suffering from some strain brought on by the fake depth blurring? Perhaps your brain is trying to focus your eyes on blurry parts to bring them back into focus, but cannot? Perhaps you're right. However, never happened to me before, just Arma2 and OA. Gothic3, Oblivion Mods, and some new games - they have DoF and other effects and everything is ok. Edited October 6, 2010 by Vultar
Joseph Archer 10 Posted October 6, 2010 yes disable headbob and turn post processing off
Baff1 0 Posted October 6, 2010 Headbob and Blur would be my guesses also. They both make a lot of work for your eyes physically. There is a mod available..OKT NoBlur in the mods section of this forum that removes the blur FX but keeps all the the other post processes. This is how I prefer to play. Vultar 0 Posted October 6, 2010 Yeah this is exactly what I did - turned all that off. About mod - well, not every server allows it.
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 6, 2010 I play with everything on, but head bob is set quite low. The little degration is the only physical discomfort we get, and I want it for the sense of added immersion.
