Fox '09 14 Posted September 27, 2010 I hate when I return to base after some AH6 strafing runs and i get mowed down by some medevac M240 . If you kill your own team mates, well yeah there aren't really too many excuses for that. So i ask that team killing against civies does not cause friendlies to kill you. enad 11 Posted September 28, 2010 Happens even if the Civys are hostile to you.
AnimalMother92 10 Posted September 28, 2010 "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." The AI are just trying to be like you, fox. That's why they gun down their team members.
max power 21 Posted September 28, 2010 Wow! You must really wrack up the civie kills to have your friendly units take arms against you. You get more points taken away than you earn! That's sort of impressive in its own right.
Evil_Echo 11 Posted September 28, 2010 It's a hint to improve friend/foe identify skills.

wolfbite 8 Posted September 29, 2010 Maybe you're not cut out for piloting things with weapons on them...... Off Taki parcel service for you :P
max power 21 Posted September 29, 2010 well ' date=' FFARs and 4000 rpm m134s are pretty messy over small taki villages ... well there's my answer :o[/quote']If realism is your bag, you shouldn't be pummelling a village with ffars anyways. They are area attack weapons equivalent to a 14 gun artillery barrage. Why not just call in a white phosphorus fire mission next time :p
Evil_Echo 11 Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) After spending dozens of minutes getting into position, picking off snipers/cannon operators/mg nests/etc, planting anti-armor devices, and then having some pilot with a "Red dot/green dot, aw just kill them all..." attitude blow my team away repeatedly - it's not just the AI that gets cranky. Only the server rules prevent other players from retaliating - that's not very much of a safety margin. A lot of admins will kick/ban someone who repeats that activity just to prevent a general riot. A counter-suggestion. Impliment kill-boxes. The normal TK penalties would only apply outside the kill-boxes. Edited September 29, 2010 by Evil_Echo
danny96 80 Posted September 29, 2010 how you can do it that if you kill the friendlies they will not kill you? i wanna be the takistani general which will killing his own people without any conspire versus me.
Fox '09 14 Posted September 29, 2010 I rarely have friendly fire incidents , but civies sometimes get in the way. I suppose i should just be sure that there are no civies next time I go nuts.. but still...
max power 21 Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) I think the AI gets cranky based on your score (in part, at least). If it's possible to give yourself a lot of points (through cheating), you might be able to pull it off. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Rating_Values http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/rating Edited September 29, 2010 by Max Power
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted September 29, 2010 I think Domination uses an addRating command at respawn to avoid having the players go renegade. But someone needs to check up the concept of rules of engagement. :D
Jelliz 10 Posted September 29, 2010 So i ask that team killing against civies does not cause friendlies to kill you. Arma 2 could use a court-martial module
Fox '09 14 Posted September 29, 2010 lol.. the thing is i dont play online, i dont piss people off (other than enad but that's ok). it's not so much i go mass killing, it's just sometimes civies run in the way or i accidentally shoot them instead of the regular taki guys, and when i rack up 3 civie kills i get slaughtered by my squad mates... i place my civies rather than use the ambient civie module, so they do run around abit..
