SIX updater is driving me mad

Start the 'Six Updater - GUI

Which is the Six Updater GUI there's no such named file after installation!

And it didn't create any shortcut either even when I said yes to creating them.

This is just my opinion, but I prefer the TGW/GDT's grenade sights over ACE's system.

It feels more realistic when you can use the actually sight to aim.

And I wonder if this is a feature, but why zeroing are removed from most weapons?

Lastly, can any one advice me how to use missiles as a gunship gunner? I turned on the laser but missiles do not follow it anyway..

Yes, great work guys. Finally a stable release!

Haven't tested ACE since beta because SIX Updater Network seem to be always unavailable for me with a unknown error code.

ArmA2? You should be using CBA_OA if you are running OA only

Well, first, ACE 1.5 works only on OA or CO. It doesn't work with A2 only (as it says in the title). The latest version for A2 alone is ACE 1.3.

Secondly, the latest version (i am using six updater) is indeed the one available on dev-heaven. You need CBA only for CO, CBA+CBA_OA for OA standalone. You can disregard CBA+CBA_A2 in this thread, since ACE 1.5 is working only with CO/OA.

Weird enough, it seems CBA has not been updated on dev-heaven.

Thanks for the reply, I understand very well how it all works, I was just pointing out some issues with the provided files as you noticed yourself. I hope they will fix the version links to prevent any confusion for others :)

Weird enough, it seems CBA has not been updated on dev-heaven.

The CBA version that ACE uses and distributes with every ACE release is not the same version as the one that you can download at dev-heaven.

Please note that the 0.6.x version you can download at dev-heaven is missing some features that ACE 1.5 needs. So please distribute the ACE CBA version when you mirror (I'm pretty sure that the standalone CBA version will be updated soon).

If you encounter any problems regarding SIX Updater the best thing you can do is to open a ticket at the dev-heaven SIX Updater tracker:

Sorry if this has been talked about or asked, but, I dont want to go through lot's of pages. Has the new stable release of Ace updated the ACE_SOUND mod as well? it sounds real good and was wondering if it has been worked on? thanks.

Do I remove all earlier versions of ACE2 before installing the new ones?

If you're using the beta versions released weekly, then the answer is NO! The updaters will delete old files that are no longer needed and only download files that have been updated. If you remove old ACE then the updater will need to re-download everything from scratch.

If you're directly downloading the stable release (not using Yoma's/Six), though, you should probably remove whatever you currently have. After all you're already re-downloading everything in that case.

Hey there, i've packed all the ACE folders in handy 100mb RAR parts (10), and uploaded it to Megaupload for my clan. But i wish to share the files with you too guys ;) The first part is an autoextract executable, it has no virus as far as my AV tells me :P

Don't be afraid, it is spanish rar version. It is pretty obvious, but in any case, to avoid confusions:

"Aceptar" means Accept/Ok.

"Cancelar" means Cancel.

"Examinar" means Browse.

"Instalar" means Install.

Just point it to the Arma2 folder. From this point on i suppose you all know how to modify your shortcut, and that you have to choose which CBA version to set up. (CBA for Arma2+OA and CBA_OA for only OA if i'm not mistaken)

The current ace sems to disable the ability in the editor to unload a weapon of a magazine at the begining of a mission. This - removeAllWeapons this; this addWeapon "G36K"; this addMagazine "100Rnd_556x45_BetaCMag"; - currently makes the weapoon loaded instead of unloaded in an modded Combined Operations.

Worked out how to do a bug report so thats done.

I'm having an issue where I'm not able to drag dead bodies. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, is there a planned fix?

I makes it very difficult to EVAC dead bodies during Ops.

Hallo all

how i use gasmask, earplug, etc?? In manual i read, just change your name at ace_clientside_config at User config

From John Doe to your profile name

but when i take gasmask from crate, nothing happen. Something wrong??

Another problem, add ACE wounded system and only medic can use morphine etc in mission editor. When i get shot, i call medic ( AI ) and he does not heal me.

This is my first ACE core in ArmA 2. When using ArmA, i remember how medic do. Like checking his condition. Using 3 deiffirent medicine etc.

To use gas mask or earplug, use the key next to your right Ctrl

Not sure what is that key called.

but once you press it, it should pop out a menu about the action.

I noticed that there are three different RPG29 and two LAW in ammobox, what are the differences?

and why most ammoboxes do not have hand grenades?

BTW, for some reason, M1A2 in Sandstorm performed very weak, it can't even defeat enemy T-55s...

and @CBA_A2 for ArmA 2 Standalone users????

Is @CBA v0.6.0.123 now for ArmA 2 or for CO only?

Should be 3?
