Inkompetent 0 Posted July 31, 2010 Your fighting style looks efficient if standing in close so that you deny the opponent the opportunity of straight punches to the face where your defense is slow, and where you can grapple. Against a lighter, quicker and first and foremost more enduring fighter with a fairly long guard (i.e. denying you opportunity to approach past his front hand) it seems to be a tiring way to fight since you have to chase in close and deny him the chance to create distance. Powerful with good body defense and seems suitable for your body build. And after all, fighting is all about using one's body to the best. For you it means your weight, muscle mass and power. Just watch that head and balance of yours. Being a fairly tall but lightly built person I can only speak from that perspective of how I'd choose to fight you, but it'd definitely be to attack your balance and wear you out, since I stand no chance at all up close and most of my attacks to your soft parts would be inefficient since I can't pack enough punch to make you feel it through all that flesh. Hard spots and making you fall seems to be the only damage I personally could do.
dr_chris 10 Posted August 8, 2010 That is all well and good, but how are you going to defend yourself when someone is biting your nipples off? HMMM?!

Pain0815 10 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) Demonstration VideoFor those of you who don't know im a twenty year martial artist as of this year and i have created my own style adapted from experience based off of kenpo which is the japanese translation for chinese kung fu. I hope you're with me so far. I've also studied tae kwon do, which i started when i was nine, and at age thirteen kickboxing, boxing, kung fu, kenpo, some grappling, and a few weapons but i don't own any so i guess you could call this karate? Youre just 20, go learn the real fighting! You learned only distance fighting, you will loose any fight on the street. Try systema, krav maga, wt or atk. Then go free fight, after all get your own style together. I think with 20 you havnt enough fights to know if your style is perfect for all situations. Especially no tournament fights, i meant real fights. Because take kwon do and kickboxing are not any usefull outside the ring (sport aspects ok but too limited for street pourposes). You said you can handle some weapons, you trained kobudo? Edited August 9, 2010 by Pain0815

Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) There are a large number of reasons why you shouldn't, the nipple biting is but a small part. On the other hand, videotaping a drunk Brit friend can yield plenty of... "exploitable" moments. Such as your friend screaming across the rooftops that is wife loves it "up the butt, up the arse" and "anaallll porn!" Ontopic: I do believe you should train more Bronze. Myself, a skinny white guy who has had back surgery wouldn't stand a chance, but somebody who knows something about fighting could probably take you down with ease. It's all about taking the force you exert on them, and using that force in their own moves. Try looking into Pentjak Silat, although it may not be suited for your build. TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted August 14, 2010 Try systema, krav maga, wt or atk. This. Krav Maga is one of the most effective systems I know of for "real" fighting. Because take kwon do and kickboxing are not any usefull outside the ring (sport aspects ok but too limited for street pourposes). Also this. If you ever get into an rl situation where your hand to hand skills are required then trying to kick someone in the head tends to result in you getting heavily beaten unless you are super awesome fast. The basic rules of any system should be: Don't get hit End the fight at the earliest opportunity Factoring in a technique to "stand your ground" is pointless imo, it's just encouraging your attacker to keep hitting you. Dodge/block the first strike and then punch them in the throat and break their fingers. Fight over.
sparks50 0 Posted August 14, 2010 Martial arts are a waste of time and money for defence purposes. You got two legs and a mouth to get you out of dangerous situations. And if you need to stand your ground and kill the attacker, you might as well buy a gun. Much, much cheaper and your prison sentence will roughly be the same. Boosting your self confidence is not the same thing as learning how to manage dangerous situations.

Boosting your self confidence is not the same thing as learning how to manage dangerous situations. Why run if you dont have to? And why the hell would you need to kill him? The gun idea is just idiotic, especially if you live in a less crazy country where 90% of the population has never even held a gun. It may also not only be yourself you are interrested in defending. Martial arts is also good for your physique and your mind usually. You do handle dangerous situations better with more self confidence, aslong as you are not an idiot and overly confident. How will you get out of a dangerous situation using your mouth without self confidence? Saying "please dont hit" me is more likely to provoke.

Boosting your self confidence is not the same thing as learning how to manage dangerous situations. You seem to be missing a rather large grey area :p Most altercations happen at bar/clubs and usually over something moronic ie...girl get pushed, drink gets spilled etc... and these fights break out lightening fast let me tell you. As a bouncer for a rather large nightclub, (over 1000 patrons on some nights), bringing a gun would be about the stupidest thing you can do. I agree that some martial arts are a waste of time (shopping mall karate), but arts like submission grappling have been invaluable for me to quickly take someone down and subdue with having to throw one blow (usually). Without any training, generally the larger guy will win and they also happen to generally be the instigator. Formal live training can most definitely level the playing field without feeling the need for deadly force. Edited August 14, 2010 by froggyluv
Inkompetent 0 Posted August 14, 2010 For practical use I'd suggest something like Krav Maga and Systema as well. Grappling, locking, breaking and causing falls is a much more safe card than punching and giving the opportunity for punches in return. Deny the opponent a chance to attack and send him falling/flying helplessly into the ground, and most fights are over right there, without the need to break bones or limbs. BronzeEagle 2 Posted August 16, 2010 yes grappling, the local barnes n noble near my moms house has a chin-na grappling style book from china translated in english. its pink but its badass inside, all photographs almost, very good book, i gotta get it. Pain0815 10 Posted August 16, 2010 Books are not useful, you need ppl to train with. And if you want get better you need ppl which are better than you, but after watching your vid it shouldnt be a problem to find some.
BronzeEagle 2 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) its very easy to insult online, every skinny kid with "flashpoint skills" can kick my ass now all of a sudden lmao. well i don't lose fights. that's the difference between a flashy skinny fighter with very flashy demonstration moves who is untruthfully convincing, and me, who you've actualy seen fight and not lose. a testament to my true ability, unlike a flashy demonstration, which convinces you without proving its applicable use. maybe you should keep pushing me so you can find out how to talk like a real man instead of an insulting little boy. show some respect. im not some spoiled ten year old with a black belt, im a twenty nine year old with actual experience. Words are not a measure of manhood in a grown mans world. Edited August 19, 2010 by BronzeEagle
dr_chris 10 Posted August 19, 2010 I love how everyone on the Internet is an expert fighter with a 10 inch dick. Get a fucking grip and talk about martial arts, not how many 6'7" cage fighters you beat up every weekend whilst out with your supermodel girlfriends. Martial arts don't have to be used for fighting these days, it's a great form of fitness above anything else.

abs 2 Posted August 19, 2010 Demonstration video For those of you who don't know im a twenty year computer user as of this year and i have created my own style adapted from experience based off of Code Duello which is the Latin or Italian Code for Duelling. I hope you're with me so far. I've also studied how to slap someone with a glove, which i started when i was nine, and at age thirteen pretending my honour was insulted, demanding satisfaction, firing a pistol, and using a rapier but i don't own any so i guess you could call this being a sissy? I'm not sure what im going to call it yet. I guess for now you could call it my interpretation of Code Duello. this video was recorded near january as of this month august i am 130 lbs, but i was 100 in the video because ive recently found a diet that works. ive outlined my entire style and diet and all this in a single document and i plan on going public with my findings. What do you think? want to see it? You think ill make it as a P.I.M.P. (Professionally Incredible Man Punisher)? For those of you who don't believe, please watch what should i call it? Could i get away with calling this Duelling or should i just call it Slap-a-Ho? A bit of instruction: * First grab him by the arm or shirt with your weak arm * Say something witty like “try not to piss yourself boy†* Now (this is the tricky part) push him back with your weak arm, take your open hand and cock it back so it is level with you weak hand side ear, twist your hip towards your weak hand side… * Now twist your upper body towards your strong hand side and pull your weak hand toward you (the one holding his arm or shirt) while swinging your open hand (knuckle side out) towards the guys face * “SLAP†* Repeat if necessary NOTE: Despite the name a Bitch Slap is NOT used for Hitting women, only trailer trash and John-Claude Van Damme beat up women. If you hit women then fuck you. Abs (Sources gathered from YouTube and here)
froggyluv 2135 Posted August 19, 2010 Bronze Eagle you minds well close this thread as it really has nowhere else to go but stupid jokes and chest puffing. If you're really sure of your Martial Arts skills, a war video game forum is probably the last place you'd want to go for advice on what to name your new compilation fighting style. Doing it in military unit? You might as well find it even more for defensive purpose then you might have think. Edited August 19, 2010 by 4 IN
