Addon "Aerodrome ICAO signs and NDB" for ARMA 3 PC game by NightIntruder ver. 0.93 05.OCT.2016 PLEASE NOTE: reading of the readme included in the addon is the obligation before usage of the addon. My main goals to achieve while working on the addon were: - to have ICAO signs for airports whenever I fly with my fellow v-pilots during our scenarios, - to have helping signs while taxiing according to ATC's direction - to have airport charts that would help having better SA at airports - to have better and more realistic immersions at airports - to encourage mission makers of colaborating communities to include ATC slot for their's MP scenarios It took me 4 days to create the addon. Initially I didn't want to release the addon but finally I thought that the addon is good enough to share it. In creation of the addon following software were used: - Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2016 (3D, models, unwrapping) - Autodesk Photoshop CS 2 (2D, textures) - Notepad ++ (writing configs) - BIS Developer Tools: Object Builder, ModelBuilder, IMGtoPAA. 2. ADDON FEATURES: - 1 model of NDB station - a bearing system courtesy of TeTeT - 6 different models of standing sign (low-poly, app. 240 polys per sign) - 3 different models (simple polys) for laying sign - 833 custom made textures that cover most of ICAO signs related to taxiways, stands, APRONs, runways - changing textures of a signs' polys based on setObjectTextureGlobal command - standing signs are backlighted during night time - a mission with pre-placed signs on four Tanoa's aerodromes and NDB stations is included - charts of Tanoa's aerodromes are included - a server key included - a manual with path to textures included 3. COPYRIGHTS & CREDITS - NightIntruder: work on whole addon, including models, textures, rvmat and config - Bohemia Interactive Studio: for the great ARMA-family games. - 7WEDS and ArmaCoopCorps communities fellow v-pilots for being inspiration for the addon. - TeTeT: for scripted bearing indicator system 4. So i got this problem taking off where the plane would 'bump' (like hitting an invisible rock or something) on the runway when reaching certain speed making it impossible to takeoff. It occurs on RHS's Tu-95, TeTeTe3's Su-35 and PAK FA (forgot the author's name) , some Sabs' aircraft, HAFM but vanilla aircrafts doesn't seem to be affected including Jets DLC planes. I dont think its because of the runway terrain because i tried it on altis, stratis,and virtual garage all with the same result. Does anybody have the same issue or.. is it just me? Hide Runway Rectangle From Ingame Map?

I would like to randomly spawn the USS Freedom in a different location on each server restart so the player has to find it, but the runway rectangle that is drawn on the ingame map kinda gives its location away! Does anybody know of a command to hide the rectangle which is drawn for each runway on the map? -

FOB PRICE Story: In March 2008 czech contingent with my father went to Afghanistan to help other states here in the most dangerous part of the world to fight against Taliban fighters. For the time spent at FOB Price My dad took some photos that I would like to share with you. History: The base used to be occupied by both British and Danish troops; however, on 22 July 2013 the Danes left, having used FOB/MOB Price since 2007, so now the base is used by mainly the British under Operation Herrick (OP H). Despite the drawdown of British troops this base has been expanded by 21 Engineer Regiment during November 2012. Description: As you can see from the title will be a FOB Price southeast of Gereshk. I will draw from photos in 2008 that got out of Afghanistan. I hope that next year i will make a map around the Gereshk town and paste there FOB Price like static base. I built some buildings in Gereshk like hospital, police station and few afghan ouposts along the main road. In FOB Price will be about 800 metres long runway with two ramps for C17 and C130. Found something strange recently when I was working on an airfield on my terrain. Went to test all the lighting I had done so far and found that none of the white edge lights (Land_runway_edgelight) were not producing the same amount of light it did before. The others were fine. I went to vanilla terrains, Altis, Stratus, Tanoa, and found the same thing. They produce a slight glow that can't be seen from the air unless you have NVGs on. Anyone else seeing this? Camp Bastion by DonbassCZ Description: Camp Shorabak, formerly Camp Bastion is an Afghan Ministry of Defense airbase located northwest of the city of Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The base has barracks for the Afghan National Army. Between 2005 and October 2014 it was the logistics hub for International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operations in Helmand during the War in Afghanistan and Operation Herrick, it was capable of accommodating over 32,000 people. The camp was built by the British Army and was the largest British overseas military camp built since the Second World War. The base was also home to troops from a number of nations including the United States of Americaand Tonga. Shorabak contains the Afghan National Army (ANA) camp (also called Camp Shorabak), and held Camp Leatherneck until 2014. I have tried to search the forums and Google But I couldn't find the answer yet... Is there a way to taxi to the runway with a controlled pace, instead of pressing the throttle slowly and having to break and pressing the throttle again? Is there Some option to for example to limit the speed so you are not taxiing with 80mph? Thanks in advance!
