The PROPER:Mod BIKI page has been reorganized to make it more clearly arranged

and icons have been added to indicate the type of the preview

media (image, video, sound).

A few screenshots of the updated UI here as well.

Excellent !

I really appreciate PROPER mods as a very handy tool in order to improve gameplay. As there are some other mods aiming for the same level of improvement (like TrueMod, for example), how is this going to work/conflict together ?

Or, is a mixed mod (PROPER+True) on the way ?

Why is this PvP only? Do it affect AI also? If so, a player only mode, if possible, would be great.

Rg (TrueMods) made an excellent structure for his projects as well!

So he separated each project in an individual config almost as

granular as we do.

So in general it depends on the combination of each individual pbo.

In short most stuff should work together without problems.

However some PROPER UI projects might collide with his

TrueUI v1.0 (TrueCrosshair-Cadet and TrueInGameUI in the

future with new projects from us).

We will provide a list on compatibility problems in the BIKI in the

future (either use A or B).

In the end technically it depends on the modfolder order like

written on our the BIKI page and if both addons overwritten the

same values or classes (mixed UI in example).

PROPER Gameplay Vehicle All White Radar Signature PvP

PROPER Gameplay Vehicle No Lock PvP

The first disables radar / tab locking.

The second one disables locking for all non guided weapons in

general.

This makes combat vs AI way harder inside vehicles -

especially inside air units.

Only you as a player/human are effected. The AI under your

command as well as enemy AI isn't.

So it is merely a recommendation. You are free to do what you prefer. smile_o.gif

CFT / CQB should test this addon:

PROPER Gameplay Weapon No Dexterity

Quote[/b] ]Reduces vertical weapon sway for all infantry weapons

besides launcher type weapons. Horizontal weapon sway does

hardly exist (or not at all) for non launcher type weapons. So the

delay is mainly / solely related to ones mouse sensitivity settings.

Gives the player a lot more direct mouse control over the

Also note these tips:

Should also be noted that the gear thingy is not compatible with Truemods ingameUI, however I simply modified the ingameui and removed the gear stuff smile_o.gif Good job Proper mod pistols.gifpistols.gif

Some very useful things to play with... Playing with config is very interesting and rewarding, as a single coefficient can dramatically change the game experience !

I have a slight remark/request though: the Queen's Gambit splash/loading screens are still there. Do you plan on updating the PROPER_UI with them ? Otherwise, what do I have to change to remove them ?

I load QG before @proper, and I have the proper UI (pun?).

I also use -nosplash to get rid of the splashscreen.

I have the same loading order and the -nosplash command in the shortcut. However, I still have QG's loading screens (on mission/map loading, not splash screen on game opening).

It's not really a terrible problem, however wink_o.gif

... why? What happens when you take fire in an aircraft and have to eject?

Dispersion mod - some weapons are desgined to fire with a beaten zone like M240 or just aren't that accurate, like the PSO. Sticking a scope on an AK doesn't make it any more accurate.

Some of the mods are great like the vehicles coef sounds, but seriously, no ejection?? WTF banghead.gif

Thanks for all this stuff. There quite a few goodies in these packs. I love that you separated everything to pick and choose.

I did noticed a few issues with a couple of the addons...

I love it for land vehicles, but this gets rid of the possibility to eject when flying. No way to bail to save your life. I am not sure if it's possible to differentiate which vehicle can have the option or not, but it's something you might want to look into.

It works, but there seems to be a bug. If you double-click and move the "bigger" object around the screen, you can't double-click to shrink it again. It will always stay big. Not sure if there is anyway to fix that though.

I don't really understand why you are getting worked up and complaining!? If you don't like it do not use it! It's simple like that and goes for all usermade mods/addons/scripts/whatever!

Instead you should be thankfull there are people working on stuff to improve/enhance ArmA and share it with us in the community even if you don't like a particular mod/addon/script/whatever. Comments like above just make you look like a spoiled brat!

I must correct myself.. I also get the QG loading screens (I thought it belonged to the campaign I played.. icon_rolleyes.gif )

For now I like them, but I guess I prefer som PROPER hand on QG soon wink_o.gif

Problem is that you either deactivate it for all or not at all.

Even more you can add the ability to eject in planes and helos

via script. smile_o.gif

If you don't want to have people fast eject from vehicles while

they are still driving or you want to force helos to land to unload

their cargo, use this addon.

Correct. It doesn't happen all the time though.

In addition the issue is a bit different.

ArmA somehow can no longer remember the initial position of

the map object at times.

You need to drag the object to another place on the map.

It should work again after that. banghead.gif

Matter of taste and depends what you are aiming for.

Try this addon in combination with expanded weapon sway and

the recoils of Q1184. Works quite well IMHO - demanding AND

rewarding AND enjoyable weapon handling. wink_o.gif
