ACE co 8-10 Moscow File - Randomly generated mission

In these missions, a random location in Takistan will be picked, and you will need to recover the Moscow Bombing File from an officer located there. He will be protected by enemies taking positions in nearby buildings and patrolling the area around them.

Features:

- Completely random objective position and starting location every time!

- Adjustable difficulty (extremely very easy, easy, medium, hard, very hard).

- In multiplayer, enemy count is adjusted based on number of players on top of the difficulty setting.

- Mission is single player compatible for green and blue SF versions (keep in mind saves are likely to not work, though). In single player you will be commanding AI soldiers, and AI count will be toned down to account for it. If you want to play the mission alone without AI and/or adjust the difficulty setting, host it in multiplayer and lock the server instead.

- Blue version allows you to merge groups in multiplayer by using the teamswitch key (default 'T') and choose the group you would like to join via the action menu.

- 3 different variations, each with completely different soldiers and equipment on both sides:

Green - Play poorly equipped Takistani Guerrillas at night and try to snatch the documents from an American officer, protected by a group of US special forces. Max 15 players.

Blue - Play US army during the day and take the documents from Aziz who is protected by Takistani Army soldiers. Max 18 players.

Blue SF - Play well-equipped US special forces during the night and take the documents from Aziz who is protected by Takistani special forces reinfoced by a BRDM-2. Max 10 players.

Required addons:

ACE with ACEX

Should work with OA standalone.

Recommended to use Zeus AI as well.

This is very important, detecting number of players on mission allow to do a mission more playable, to a wider audience, balancing the enemy force.

I've been doing it in most of the coop missions I made since god knows when ;)

Of course this means no JIP during mission (JIP players will spectate), because the mission is built based on the number of players present at the start.

For non-ACE, just edit the assigngear.sqf script to use BIS weapons instead of the ACE weapons.

Version 1.01:

Fixes:

- In blue version, 1 of the enemies didn't have gear.

- In blue and blue SF versions, all enemies had the Moscow Bombing File.

We've played this several times this week with 4 or 5 people playing. I like it a lot. Simple and to the point, but requires thought and tactics... no complaints here.

We played the Blue SF version yesterday. It was very nice! Liked the random surroundings every new round.

We tried going stealth as much as possible and let a shooter with SD do the dirty work, while the rest of us were lurking in the darkness, covering him :D

Just played and after we got File from a dead soldier -mission didnt end and there was never a Tasks option :(

Also there was a soldier still yelling from what appeared to be under a house -maybe thats why mission didnt end?

After you get the file you need to extract (run away into any direction), and then the mission will end.

AI under the building must be a bug with game/island, since mission just places AI outdoors in clean places and then tells them to move into building positions. I did try to blacklist some problematic (bugged) areas with buildings that AI cannot get into, but obviously didn't blacklist all of them. Completely eliminating these problems would probably require going over every single building in Takistan, test it and blacklist it if necessary, which is obviously too much work. Hopefully BIS fix their islands someday... :(

Ok -can you add a Tasks and then Objectives? We literally went around checking bodies for a half hour because after I found the file -no message popped up so we assumed there were more. Its also more satisfying to have those little boxes checked off.

From briefing:

...Then, extract to safety without losing more than 1/2 of your team...

Could add tasks but it's a bit too much work for too little gain for a mission with basically 1 objective and 2 lines of briefing.
