    Jup it does work if the AI does not have NVG's, when they don't have light or NVG's at dark the only thing they can do to focus on you is listening to you when your like right next to them

    Still €45 is till very little for all the content and features you get, if you look at battlefield or COD you basicly get way less for €60/70 and then you have the "season pass" (fancy name for dlc bundle that holds maybe 1 or 2 dlc's) and pay up another 50 € and then another 15€ for every "dlc" (mostly one small map or 2/3 weapons) I would say BIS is very cheap in its dlc strategy andyou acctually get proper content for your money compared to others
  5. The Beta will have a massive overhaul of all classnames making most (if not all) classnames of Alpha obsolete. Your best of making the framework and wait for the bravo release :)

    RAM Management - Serious Question

    hm.... I might be wrong here but here is something straight out of my hardware components class of school: You video (1st page) is showing 2 diffrent memory indexes so I have the feeling you might be wrong with your interpetation there or the software your using is combining some stuf giving you a wrong picture of your acctual ram usage. Normal ram works the following way: it holds the calculations and applications your cpu is running. once its full it will divert it to your harddrive in so called virtual ram. now if you look in taskmanager you can see them both listed, your acctual RAM and you Virtual RAM. A game as arma ussually has a limit of how much ram it can use for calculations, everything it can't hold in the RAM it should store in the virtual drive. meaning that if you went over the entire island it wil save all that info in the ever growing ram stick tillits full and it wil pass older info into the virtual RAM, If you go back to a place or have to load anything from an earlier point it will load it from the Virtual drive into you ram again to process it taking longer because HHD or SSD are both slower than DDR3 or DDR4. Take by example Adobe After Affects, after rendering multiple video's in there you will want to clear its cache because it will easily store 20+ GB of data in your virtual RAM, the same has to be done in arma, after a while you have to flush your cache to get a performance boost (there is acctually a shortcut key for that in arma's 'cheat' shortcuts) Try your first mission again on your normal rig and when you hit 13GB try flushing your cash (It might acctually work ;) )

  10. I noticed that when I have the launcher open and I move a larger mod to the file where the launcher reads my mods from it will start using 99%-100% of my CPU (AMD AM3+ 8350 8x4.0GhZ) How to reproduce: Start the launcher and move a larger mod (+ 1GB) to the folder it reads from

    Is CSAT really that Over Powered?

    The vests of CSAT are acctually weaker, they don't carry body armour but chest rigs (ammo holders so no reinforced plating). The uniform of CSAT has more armour than the uniforms of AAF and NATO. CSAT "Bughelmet" has the most armour value (100 I believe). Som armour wise on the soldiers NATO CSAT AAF Vest + - + Uniform - + - Helmet - + - Weapons. NATO and CSAT Have a 6.5 caseless caliber. AAF has a 5.56 caliber. CSAT has a 7.62 LMG, NATO a 6.5 MX SW, AAF a 6.5 MK200 NATO has a .338 MG, CSAT a 9.3MM MG. NATO has the following Marksman rifle's: EBR 7.62, that maksman weapon can't remember the name 7.62, MAR-10 .338, M320 LLR .408 CSAT has the following Marksman rifle's: Rahim 7.62, Cyrus 9.3, ASR 12.7, Lynx .50 (russian caliber version) AAF has the following Maksman rifle: EBR 7.62 The Katiba seems to have less recoil than the MX but that might also be just me so it won't be counted. NATO CSAT AAF Marksman Calliber - + -- MG Calliber - + ----- Default Calliber + + - LMG Calliber - + - So thats basicly Inf based the only - that CSAT recieved was for the vest, the rest is all superiour. That NATO lost from the AAF just means that NATO troops underperformed toAAF troops. possibly because of experiense etc,etc. NATO has some more armour equipment to counter CSAT: NATO CAS is more powerfull than CSAT CAS NATO has sandstorm CSAT doesn't NATO has 40mm Auto cannon CSAT only 30mm AH-99 has AA, AT and cannon, CSAT Kajman only AT and cannon Ghosthawk has miniguns and the AH-9 ofcoarse so thats how its ballanced a bit but Inf whise CSAT is the clear victor
  12. I'm seriously thinking if I should reply to the video or not.... heck fuck it I'll reply. That dude is a absolute cracked nutshell.... His mentions about keybindings and action menu..... Is he retarded? We finally begged BIS enough to change it to actionkeys instead of a action menu with to many scroll options... someone needs to make him shut up befor he acctually ruins the game. Inventory.... Again he has to be retarded..... This is an amazing inventory system. To begin with Arma is a semi realistic military SANBOX game not a milsim jet its allready more realistic by heaving the weapons slots. its normal to have 1 main weapon and 1 pistol and a AT specialist (or AA) willhave some AT thats it there not a single idiot that goes to the battlefield with 2 assault rifles ?!? I mean next to that you have to carry mags for both rifles (really wanna carry +/- 18 mags with you?) you would lose your sidearm which is ridiculus, a sidearm is better suited for CQB than most assaultrifles. Mission. I love being able to create missions. having the community make the missions gives the game many more modes than the devs can come up with as we are with thousands. Vehicle tweaks. Interiors might be nice but also affect performance. you can easily get over the limitations by working together with you vehicle crew. if you have players in there and you practice enough its actually rather easy. and ofcoarse if you know how armour works.... Von has always been bad and something I dislike (ever heard the cod video's? the amount of annoying squeakers on there... it kills you) I prefer TS all the time where I'm on with mature level headed non squeakers. way better game experions and with TFAR or ACRE 2 you can make work properly ingame aswel. (They might want to ask the devs of those mods to help them integrate it in arma by default way better solution than VON)

    Well if I followed it a bit correctly on the news it was said that Trump is doing extremly well at this moment (how painfull it is...) But then again.... I know of a certain time in germany when there was a guy who did the same kinda campaing as Trump does now... see how that worked out -.- Personally I don't vote ever as my motto to voting is very simple "Voting between one dickhead or another dickhead doesn't change a thing. they both screw you over where your standing either way."

    Spawned a SDV on 99,999,999 meters height... it took ages to reach the water (survived it though) I don't believe altis itself has a cap to its height its just the planes and choppers have a cap on how high they can reach.

    these bumps are there because of the new ground texture thing introduced in 156. it make's groundtextures more 3d so rocks on a ground texture acctually show as rocks instead of just being part of the texture.

    according to a koerdisch medianetwork called Rudaw ISIS officially proclaimed the attack. There waas also a suspicious bag found in amsetdam but that has been cleared by the police. Police in the netherlands are apperently busy witha operation on station hoofddorp with an arrest team (a team simulair to US SWAT)

    firecrews confirm 11 deaths at the airport, one explosion went of in the departure room of SN Brussels Airlines and one at the counter of american airlines, Next to the rumors that there where arabic voices shouting there are also rumors that there was gunfire. the metro was apperently in a carriage between 2 stations in, survivers had to evacuade through the tunnels to the next station dutch news site with allot of video's
  23. Yea those also only work for me with spacebar since the begining of A3, I have never been able to LMBklick the action that I wanted, the commanding menu was a bit diffrent because that also worked witht the number (by example ~+1+6 still makes my squad stop moving)
  24. This hasn't worked for me since the beginning of A3 (probebly because I use A3 controls). Its always been Spacebar for me which is quite nice as it acctually gives a action key kinda feeling, look at the door press spacebar and it opens whitout having to scroll. I agree that having the weapons get removed from the action menu list would be awesome! and also the suggestion to put the commanding units under one button would be amazing. espacially if a dear BIS dev can make a really nice transparant maybe circulair menu like ACE has? it would mean that next to 1 - 4 you also have the keys 5-0 aviable for actions.
