    No mods. Was using mods but disabled them and still. Happens to me on both dev and stable. Tried both. Re validated my files, one had to be reeaquired, but still no joy on the triggers. All condition buttons are not selectable. Very frustrating as I cant work on my missions in the editor. AND if its just me who is experiencing this then I am a bit worried. I was even using game booster and shut that off to see if it helped. I am lost. I'll mention this as well, the triggers I plopped down when they were were working are all dysfunctional as well with no condition selected. here are my specs if that helps: Windows 8 64 i7 2700K stock overclock nVidia GTX 680 4 GB 16 GB RAM

    It appears triggers are F'd at the moment. Don't know if it's been mentioned. The condition buttons do not work. Present, not present etc.
  3. Hey! The six config editor class names hasn't been updated since the ALPHA. Can anyone point me the class names for editor objects like laptop, whiteboard etc? Thanks a bunch! Also would this be createvehicle? or createunit? Im guessing createvehicle

    2017 - Official Announcement!

    Hey guys! Looking forward to a re-worked survival mod. I'd like to make 2 suggestions that I made for Day-Z but no one ever implemented it. Maybe it was too hard for them. Please consider adding a (REALISTIC) skill system by way of pamphlets, books, guides etc hidden throughout the game world. Make these plentiful in variety but rare in duplication. That is the first part to my idea/system. Second, is allow players to player interaction that allows players to trade/learn skills they have found from each other. Make it take a few hours of being in a certain proximity to that player until they can finally learn that skill. The most social and interactive of survivors will be some of the most skilled and knowledgeable because of the skills they gain from other humans, AS IS in real life. Not every person on this planet knows how to start and IV or effective first aid. I would say the MINORITY of people actually know how to fix and engine. Hell, most woman don't know how to change a tire. It would be great if certain survivors spawn with different skill sets already known to add variety of who and what someone has been in their life prior to the incident. I have always believed this was the number one anti "shoot on sight" mechanic for any of these style games. Let's at least discuss the possibilities, limitations of this as it would make the game a more social experience to be sure. Bandits who decide to be loners will suffer the consequences they would face in RL. No social interaction and learning opportunities other then the information/skills they find throughout the world.

  6. What gives? I have never seen this before. Usually all you have to do in the multiplayer editor is put a playable unit down in the editor and preview button will appear. No joy. Anyone else have this issue? Also, do I HAVE to create missions I mean to make Multiplayer in the multiplayer editor or can I do it in single player and then make it MP? Thanks

I made this account, combatcomm1 because I was never sent an email from BIS after the hacking fiasco and/or I never updated my email and so don't use/have access to the email account I used to sign up for BI forums. I kind of like my old account as it has my join date etc etc. I was CombatComm, without the 1. I was hoping someone could assist me or point me in the right direction as it uh...just dosent feel the same using a new one with the stupid 1 after it. lol Thanks guys!
  8. Love the server but what is the probability of you all allowing at the very least, landtex and babes mid range texture replacement mod? I dunno if anyone realized the difference it makes to the visual beauty of the game. I can't play without it personally and very few servers allow it. I would also love to see the JSRS 2.0 ALPHA allowed on here as well but that may be pushing it. Please consider allowing the mid range textures, it makes a huge difference. Thanks.

Maybe either get mod authors permission to use the best modeled unit addons that fit into each ARMA 2 category or have a collaborative team doing high quality models to replace A2 models with appropriate A3 models. I dont know if this is something you want/can/thought about doing but it would be awesome. This is just missing A3 units/vehicles etc to match and replace ARMA 2 units that are so badly missing from A3.
  10. Wow, that website is well done. Even has lens flare from the sun. That water makes me want to just dive in. I wonder if the diving is good cuz the viz looks phenomenal. BIS definitely took some artistic freedom with it, which is good. It is much more barren then in the game. Very rocky with white (limestone?) cliffs. I know it is summer at the time these pictures were taken but still suprised me at the lack of grass and shrubbery, especially on the eastern side near the monument. This was very cool, thanks for posting. Now I gotta go fly around stratis a while haha.

    The new soundscape additions are great and I don't know if I had my effects slider set to low before but did they just NOW add wind? In any case great improvement. However, the song birds various day time noises are being played at night as well. I am no expert of the avian variety, especially Mediterranean but I don't know many birds that are nocturnal except the owl. Also, did they remove gear sounds when crouching and going prone or was I using the wrong player model?
  12. Is it possible, or is it even in the road map of this mod, to re texture/tweak polys of the original ARMA 2 units? Make them essentially, look like ARMA 3 units in quality/texture/mapping all that fancy technical stuff? PhysX?

    Well done! I hope you plan to do some more improvements. I have already created a little assault boat mission down the river! Awesome fun to speed along being attacked from both shore lines. I just wished the water "waves against shore" could be tweaked/eliminated as it destroys immersion of a river and overall just look bad. I doubt anyone could do anything about that though. Engine thing probably.

    SpeedOfSound Mod (Beta)

    Cant wait for this. This is badly needed for the game and by the sound of it, this may be the most advanced sound mod in Arma 3 to date. JSRS was good but this sounds like less hacks were needed. I am hopeful we will see something in the weekly WIP report at armaholic.com. I too am for changing the 100m sounds to be a bit louder and more echo/deep bass-y sounds at distances.
  15. This is awesome and so well done. It almost looks like it doesn't belong in a clunky ARMA game. Reminiscent of MINECRAFT. Will be following this and its possible positive implications.
  16. I too have been wanting an RTS game mode for Arma 3. The fidelity of the graphics and possibilities are endless for a proper RTS to rival even the most dedicated RTS game. Imagine the options to use UAVs and for the other team to establish jammers in certain areas to disrupt the UAVs of the other commander. I am by no means a great scripter but I have been messing with the editor on and off since 2008, ARMA 1. As the post above said if you have permission from the mission author to tweak his, (As I played it but it was never supported much) then I am more then willing to help develop and improve it. If not, we can try and put together a team to create our own from scratch? Some Ideas - 1. PVP and Player vs AI version?? 2. Only allow map usage untill one side can acquire or build UAV terminal which then could allow them live picture view to command troops. 3. Deploy jammers in certain areas to disrupt enemy UAV feeds? 4. CAS capabilties from actual assets after capturing runways or building them with enough material. Same goes for FOBS 5. Logistical needs capabilities. Suppply lines can be cut etc. 6. If we are feeling really ambitious, allow the use of players on the ground slots for squad leaders that take orders from the commander. I will edit as I come up with more. Kind of excited to see if this can go anywhere. PM me if you like.
