    3CB Factions

    Reinstalled ArmA 3 after 5 years. Discovered 3CB. So far I've subscribed to 3CB factions, units, weapons, vehicles, etc. What maps do you guys use on your servers? Could you provide steam workshop links to those as well? Also how can one join in server events? ....and the schedule/timings for these events.
  2. Hi, I'm new to Arma. I purchased the Arma 3 Beta just a couple of days back. I'm still getting the hang of it. In the first showcase mission I've died several times but I also got injured once and the team leader was continuously telling me to heal or patch myself up. I looked in the Inventory, I had a first aid kit. But I don't know how to use it. 1. Can someone tell me the step - by - step procedure for doing this? 2. Also, I went to feedback.arma3.com but I don't know how to post over there. Otherwise the game runs smooth and I have had no problems so far except that getting killed in it is very easy. Well. it's a sim so that is expected.

    Congrats to RHS for winning MANW. Awesome mod. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to use head tracking for aiming the guns on the Viper and Apache? Also I am getting the hang of it but still need to confirm; for the laser guided hellfire I first have to select the laser marker and point it towards the tank and pull the trigger to designate it and then select the hellfire and press the TAB key to lock the target, right? Can I use head tracking for aiming the laser marker?

    I would like a single-player CQB mission with a Blue on Green (BLUFOR vs AAF) scenario and Virtual Arsenal included. I'd prefer CQB and VA because I'd like to use the L85A2 addon for it.

My framerate keeps dipping below 30 for a couple of seconds even at the beginning of the campaign. 2.     about request number 1, yes, fictional helicopter. Number 2, the M777 seems awesome. 3. I would also like a modified/fictional AH-1Z Viper which allows the pilot to use the optics and also control the turret gun. Currently I'm using the original HAFM US Helicopters port from Arma 2. The Viper in this pack is good enough to take out vehicles but infantry firing at the gunship (even with rifles) cause a major problem because I play in single-player only and the AI gunner is not that competent. So as vehicles can be locked, infantry on the other hand cannot be locked and this leads to a lack of situational awareness for the pilot. Having access to the optics might help.
  12. Can anyone make or has made or ported any helicopter from Arma 2 that can lift the AMV-7 marshall using slingload while also carrying 8 passengers (in the helo not the vehicle). I don't know about others but I'd really love to see such an addon.
  13. I don't know whether to post this as a feature request in the feedback tracker or post it here. While Arma 3 has self-propelled artillery vehicles and an MLRS it lacks towed artillery pieces. Yes, the mortars are there but something in between a mortar and an SP gun which can be transported quickly using a helicopter or towed along the rear of a truck, along with any crew to operate it would be a nice feature IMO. Altis and Stratis have a suitable terrain in which such a weapon would be useful especially if it is transport by air.

    1. A heavy lift helicopter which can sling load an AMV-7 Marshall while at the same time carrying all its passengers and crew in its passenger compartment. 2. A towed artillery gun that can be air lifted easily using a Mohawk or a Huron. This addon should potentially provide artillery support in regions of Altis and Stratis where SP guns can't reach.

I haven't seen the script in a while but I did manage to add the panther to the list of protected vehicles. You said vehicle classes, did you mean the class names? Does it work for both air and ground at the same time?

    Good to hear that. I know that you'll be busy but whenever you do get free can you come up with a script for blocking AA missiles against aircraft? I know it might sound unrealistic but just as frankfranconi said about armour, the same is true about aircraft. They get blown out of the sky pretty easily and the amount of flares just isn't enough to survive in a hostile environment. I play DUWS (originally by Kibot) and I loved including your AIS script in it. It worked like a charm except that when the number of combatants got very high, I did get some hits(but that is a general problem in DUWS and it has been attributed to the game engine).

    I would have loved to have a system to block AA missiles for both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft in the same manner as the AIS (which I used in DUWS).

    Is this thread still working or dead? I like this addon as I'm playing the "Pilot the Mi-24" mission by RObj. I have one problem though, the anti-tank guided missiles are too weak for 2035 era armour. I fired all four of them at a BLUFOR Panther © APC and no visible damage. It then took me around 20 plus rockets to finally see the flames. 1. Can't we have more powerful anti-tank missiles? Atleast 2 should be enough for a Panther. 2. Is there a manual or a readme for the Mi-24's weapons as I'm not aware of the difference between the two type of rockets and the 2 types of rounds of the yak gun?

    Can anyone tell me whether the 4 shturm missiles on the MI-24v are fire and forget or do they have to be guided to the target?
