    Was the name of that milsim called "Call of Duty: Modern Warefare2"? That game was SO realistic, and VERY difficult. I loved it!

    Will any CTI missions be added after release at some point? What was the original direction of the game that was canned and caused you to have to throw away so much work? Any news on TKOHFM for post release?

    Both of which are huge rifles. Where are the medium sniper rifles like M24s and the like?
  9. One has to consider the effect that atmosphere has on the magnification of the sun. If I'm not mistaken doesn't the perceived size of the sun change throughout the day due the angle relative to the atmopshere?
  10. It'll be really disappointing if they don't have some kind of fixed wing transport plane (or even just the Osprey!). If they can't make all of the content up to their new standards, then why not make an official patch to allow people to play with A2/OA content in the meantime, so at least we have something to work with other than a new island and a couple of new vehicles :P

  12. People in the community can always make stuff like islands/units. I want BI to focus on engine things that modders can't quite get to that improve general gameplay. Better medical systems, weapon resting, walking in vehicles, more accurate simulation of vehicles (TKOHFM), and most importantly AI.

    My biggest issue is when you tap your rotors on a building causing a magical explosion. Why not just have the rotors break off? GTA IV does this and it isn't even a "military sandbox". I understand it isn't entirely realistic, but better than spontaneous explosions :P

    Quite frankly I really don't like the gun sounds, the pre canned reverb/echoing effect being exactly the same EVERY TIME just shatters any immersion I would have into little pieces :(

    Is there a way to kinda have your recoil "reset" a bit after you have stopped firing? IRL your body doesn't move up with the gun and leaving you pointing at the sky after you are done firing. Not that I want recoil to be eliminated automatically, but I would think after you fire a gun full auto the barrel would naturally drop back down afterwards. Somone make him an ArmA dev! :D
  17. GT 330m would probably have quite a bit of trouble TBH, maybe it could run at lower resolutions.

  19. Agreed, the breathing sounds don't sound like you are the one breathing them, they sound like somone put their mouth next to your ear. Not sure how they could record first person beathing noises though :\

    First off, when did he say that implementing such a feature would be easy? Point blank engagements aren't exactly common in arma, and I'm pretty sure kevlar vests can stop bullets sometimes or else why would militaries be forcing their troops to be carrying all of that extra weight?

    You do know that it's perfectly possible to remap every key, right? On topic, I really like the new flight model, maneuvering seems to be easier to do, but also easier to completely screw up.

    I just did a similar scenario, I placed a rifle squad (without the AT soldier) and drove a Marid up to them. At first they launched grenades, and tried to run away into the forest. After I killed all but two, the remaining two stopped running and let me drive right next to them, without firing or attempting to flee/take cover.
  23. If you're assuming we are asking a COMPLETELY ACCURATE SIMULATION of projectile-armor interaction, then you are mistaken. We just want something better than this HP system, the WW2 online model would be miles better, even though it isn't completely 100% realistic.
  24. Red Orchestra Ostfront and WW2 online had good armor penetration systems, and they most certainly did not require supercomputers.
