Unfortunately the standard in fps's is that you technically float on the ground. Differences in movement based on terrain are relatively rare and honestly anything that slows down people probably wont be well received by the current gaming community

ah pd3 One shouldnt be so extreme atleast not yet. Mind you That is pretty much what I get from non arma players, Its bf3+. Arma 2 is the shittiest game on the earth etc etc. What you have to slowly come to accept is those bishes pay the bills. They twitch and youtube, and whatever elses. "We" are a minority and never ever forget that. Weather the game turns into bf3/4+ who knows, but dont burst your bubble just yet. Have faith. Its not like this has happened before... -

Im sorry but arma's ai is plenty better than most ai out there for its environment. The problem is not that it isnt magical the problem is it has yet to do default things that have been done for years and now even takes a step back from 2. Or better yet. We dont understand the reasoning why. The arma team lingers between pro studio status and hang out with the boys indie status. They arent sit down and tell you the cold hard Truth weather you like it or not ala Rocket "If you're disappointed, I would implore you NOT to buy the game. People buying games they are complaining about is killing this industry. Consumer behavior needs to change if you expect publishers and developers to change. Pfft. Here is something interesting to do. Go under tracker and apply these filters. Acknowledged Category - AI Issues Do we really need to re report most of these issues? One needs only to look at the old CIT Category AI Issues where people like kju still to this day do everything you state and more. Ai bugs hard to find? Some most are blatantly obvious to anyone who spends sometime watching the ai. Actually I changed my mind. Perhaps its best one doesnt look at the CIT. Its depressing. A lot of people are going the ai are broken because most things they want to say has been said many times before.

Thats odd. We really need to make a repro mission so devs can see that the ai need to use smoke? Also quite honesty I would think 10 minutes playing a modded arma 2 will show them what is needed. I dont buy that they dont know what is wanted. They play the game. I was crying during the vehicle showcase which showed less than a used car salesman. Bug? We still stand up when crawling over small bumps, how long has it been this way? Its practically a feature now.

I would say to first Post your .pt file so people can see said error. I dont see you as having tried to Disable firewall, and disable antivirus. Now to clarify you see their server, and you try connecting to it. You then get a pop up error saying connecting failed? -

Makes me nervous, that does. Hopefully there may be others who will make something similar to ACE3 if they decide not to.

The ai can already think for itself, doesnt need training nor life experiences, already has courage values. Changing the fire rate / whatever merely band-aids the supposed problem.

Im not entirely sure what it is either. I just consider it to be any form of limiting the instant turn and shoot capabilities of popular modern shooters.
