i think the fact the game doesnt utilize the given ressources very well (multicore load?) cant be discussed away. if it would there should be higher fps, even more so for high end rigs. Sent from mobile -

i too believe biggest part of the problem is the giant task to rework the ground structure of the engine and rewrite old code. as true as those occurences are to the original game, i would love not to see this a decade after :j: -
this is awesome. all these great ideas to improve the game make me dream of the holy grail, one mod to fix it all and in the darkness bind them (also known as ACE3).

as grateful as i am for this top quality mod, i dont see the point in the distribution policy either. granted, no one wants to chase community sites for updates, but would that be necessary – after all the news will find its way. its another thing to maintain synced for events. big communities i know all have their own distribution system, be it yomas addonsync or some special made package – both not possible now because of politics. PWS is not everybodys best friend either, but it does its job of managing different presets quite well. sure its possible to manage manually and it doesnt hinder me from using BWA3, but it seems kind of wtf-why-not to me. anyway, dont want to join a bitch-choire. the mod itself is excellent and i am very much looking forward to its further refinement!

just tested again and it seems what does the trick is not to replace the single "_body_part_damage;" - line, which i guess gives back the value to the calling function. "_body_part_damage = _body_part_damage * bcombat_damage_factor;" must be added just before that, for it being the calculation only. now it works for me. put up the damage multiplier to 5.0 for testing purpose and give instant kills on hit :) -

hopefully they take their chance to build a new engine due to the dayZmoneypile. I couldnt stand another arma glitching through rocks like decades ago in OFP (with my oculus rift 4k in 2017) :D back on topic: i am quite stunned to learn there is such hard limit for particles. proper dust and dirt kickoffs would bring much more to authenticity. edit: btw a game which brings really nice looking explosions with great performance is coh1/coh2. quite the right amount of fire vs dust/dirt/smoke. granted the dirt is low fidelity, but fire and smoke textures are great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J_tR09mCuE Gesendet von meinem iPhone mit Tapatalk

nope. i tried to do the same even with a multiplier of 5.0 there was no change, didnt seem to kick in. anyway it will be implemented in 0.15 already if I understood correctly. I'm highly looking forward to getting rid of enemies taking 3+ bullets to die. -
i'd welcome women, heck even children in the game for better immersion. if some psychopath wants to play carmageddon with them - who cares. there are enough games out there for those kinds of people anyway. Gesendet von meinem iPhone mit Tapatalk

yeah, whether its because of the tiny team, the tiny budget (all compared to GTA4/5) or not enough talent is just speculation. but technically it would be possible to make the game more revolutionary than what was delivered, thats for sure. but on what costs - its not far fetched to say a big developer would streamline our beloved franchise into some battlefield clone to compensate the higher expenses. i believe bohemia devs do their best, though thats not satisfying sometimes for us knowing the "blockbuster" title graphics too.

interesting. indeed MP performance is so much worse than SP. hope the devs find the glitches. -

this. a friend who i want to play arma3 with always asks: is the ai still as freaking super accurate on long distances or is it like OFP where i actually managed to survive longer firefights. maybe he is caught in nostalgia, but he has a point. Gesendet von meinem iPhone mit Tapatalk

I don't think they want to spare money – they have to choose where the budget goes. Its about priorities. I actually kinda like their approach to deliver a sandbox and not to focus on too much content, because that means they neglect other things. Nevertheless they sadly didnt manage to make a great leap forward in those in regards of physics (granted its a bit better, but everything is better than the nonexistent) and SFX (explosions and particles??) beside the really well done lighting. Could go on whining. Seeing the blockbuster competitors I am thankful this franchise with all its lovely flaws still exists.

i liked the ace effect very much, so would support it being implemented. earplugs should be added either to avoid yelling at your machinegunner if he chooses to open fire next to you
