  1. hey TPW, I hope you dont mind, but for my personal use, i took your 1.07 version. Then De_pbo'd 1.06 addon version, and swapped all the files and changed the path and folder names to _107 .. and have it (version 1.07) working as an addon. THANKS ITS GREAT!!!!!! Its just because swapping out updated versions of scripts in my SP missions is becoming a pain. Thanks AGAIN!!!! I hope to see an official addon soon. :bounce3:
  2. I could not have said it any better myself .. The fact that ARMA 2 is a complete game yet still, this many years later has a BETA program to fix/patch existing problems... That Still Remain IN ARMA 3... You cannot polish a Turd.. but you can dress it up and cover up the smell.. And the reason why my BUTT HURTS SO MUCH right now is that.. I am an ARMAHOLIC.. I dont play COD, BF or any other shooters.. AT ALL..Never have Never will.. Arma is it.. So that is why when the gameplay is KRAP I get Butt Hurt...

    Considering the game has been FUBAR all of last week, this is a great way to start the next one... I still get MASSIVE script errors from scripts that have defined variables.. but suddenly they are not defined.. Horrible FPS and performance (Its been Halved since beta release and getting WORSE) and now I cannot even move while using TrackIR... As much as I was going to say, ARMA 2 here i come... Its Just as Buggy... Going to go play games Not made by BIS until my Hurt Butt stops hurting....

    LOD switching worse than ever?

    Ever since the release of Beta i have been getting MUCH WORSE performance in ALL areas.. LOD has been pretty bad from the get go.. Definitely not getting any better in the Beta.. BUT HEY , We have an animated switch on our guns now that shows what fire mod were in.....................

    .. after the update i was spinning in circles... if i looked left my avatar would turn his body right .. if i looked right my avatar would turn his body left.. once i disabled my trackIR things seemed normal. I checked everything with the TrackIR and its working as it should. There is definitely an issue with Arma, dealing with the imput from the trackIR and Not the TrackIR itself..
  6. hey Chris, in your debrief you say it took 5 minutes to setup. Any way you could make a tutorial of the mission build?? maybe a quick 5 min vid?
  7. stronly dissagree.. when you "scoped" in real life your eyes aren't ON the scope.. when you shoot you would hit your face... .. AND ... you can open your other eye to get a quick glance around the area.. or quickly divert your head and look around... If you have a problem with looking around in trackIR ... just DISABLE IT... DUH.. no need to ruin it for those that know how to use it.. Ill be looking for tickets on the feedback tracker to vote accordingly..
  8. wow I honestly cannot believe that this is an issue ... I just purchased my trackIR5 and i have to say being able to glance around while "scoped" is Super nice... I really hope that they don't change that... The ONLY thing i agree with in this thread is that the rear lens is to reflective and near impossible to see threw sometimes.. Hmm , you cant line up your NVG's with a scope in real life? I donno I am asking.. I figured it could be done.. you wear your NVG's and line up with a scope i imagine you can see threw the scope .. i dont see how thats impossible.. but whatever and the sensitivity issue is EASILY SOLVED. TURN ON "PRECISION".... LOL You can set the amount of smoothing.. effectively slowing down the head movement.. I have my precision smoothing on default 100.. and that's a noticeable slow down in head movement.. when i go scoped i keep my head still or i enable "precision" capture with my hotkey.. instead of ruining it for others why don't you learn how to use the technology you have.. If you have a problem with your head moving when your scoped ... Set up a convenient hot key to disable TrackIR.... Its THAT EASY.. you go scoped, hit the hotkey and turn off TrackIR for a few seconds.. no need to ruin it for everyone else that knows how to use it...
  9. IIRC the video is a spoof... and how can you support something you have no experience with.. I have been using this mod since the day it was rolled out and have to say that the jumping in the video is a bit exaggerated in what i have experienced with this mod. Maybe you should download it, and try it yourself.. instead of focusing on the video... get some HANDS ON experience.. then post up what you dont like.....

    JTD Flies ArmA3 version

    Yea,, I would like to ask that as well .. is there any way to increase the time the flies show up .. they show up too soon and too many ... its like there at full force in just a few minutes ... any way you can change it so that the fly appearance time and amount are configurable?? Via userconfig? Other wise the only way to change it is to depbo the addon and do it yourself which renders its bisign usless and you can no longer use it on a server with verifysigs=2..

  13. just another question. Any way to make this work for AI as well.. and can you get rid of the typed messages? "mmmph", "there goes my ankle" etc.. I think the AI should have the same effect if they walk off ledge, by accident, or supidity.... BTW's THANKS AGAIN, this makes falling fun!
  14. can you set up the anims as a few arrays and have them selected at random or according to height and direction of fall, maybe?? Das Attorney, in his @Jump_MF addon has a script that checks your velocity, direction, etc maybe hell let you use it? His addon also works in MP so maybe he can give you some pointers there as well?
  15. i haven't been able to try ACRE out in ARMA 3 BETA .. However, I have heard a lot of players say that they cannot access radios and other random issues.. Can anyone post up their experiences with ACRE and ARMA 3 Beta??

    Its tooo Quite in here. I still get the effect of "Semi _ Auto " fire sounds not being played in MP( arma 2 v1.5 final).. I cannot pinpoint how or why it happens.. Any word on JSRS 2.0???

    I tried this mod and thanks for making it. However, for me, Its counter intuitive. I cannot place a ergonomic key bind that, is not completely awkward, and doesn't cause me to release the "W" key, by accident.. I hope that the mouse click problem can be solved, they hopefully we could use the default action menu weapon switch to activate and utilize this mod..
  19. This is super Groovy TPW... Another one of those simple things that should be part of the game by default.. Thanks and i cant wait to see it in action. Do you have any plans on making this an addon or leaving it as a script? Can i plead for an addon version for ease of use in SP, IE not having to manually add it to every mission?.

    Weapon Sway Tweaking

    After this thread was posted i started asking people in Servers their opinion about the weapon sway and I have to admit Not a single one was on board with making it more exaggerated, in any stance.. They all agree that no one can hold a weapon still, and that sway adds to the game.. However, they all agree that its too much, and the fact that It DOES NOT AFFECT AI.. They all agree that it is over exaggerated and erratic. and needs refining.. Has anyone made a ticket for this so that i can point these people to it to vote on.. Ill say it again I agree with some amount of sway but the current system is flawed. Holding my breath in game does VERY little in the way of reducing the sway.. By the time I get lined up to shoot I am already shot and killed by AI.. Since there is an abundance of these "features" that dont affect AI.. I find that adding more of them to make it more difficult for a HUMAN to get an accurate shot, is asinine. I thought they were working on balancing the game.... I could agree on a system that makes you sway worse the more you are in scoped view or having your weapon ready. If you have your weapon lowered and come into contact. and you raise your weapon weapon sway should start to increase as you hold your weapon and shoot according to weight and fatuige. But the current system you have Extreme sway right off the bat.. These random body movements that people are using as their examples as to why weapons sway is realistic.. No one is arguing that you dont twich or move a little bit while holding a gun.. HOWEVER, the point trying to be made by many of you, is that this current system, "is not exaggurated" and "is realistic".. When you train with a weapon and do movements with this item, you gain dexterity. This transmutes into a better grip and stance and overall weapons handling.. A trained soldier would encounter less sway then an untrained Civilian.. I have stated that it has been a while since i have shot a "real" rifle. However, I remember the last time i did, and I know for sure while looking down the sites, i didn't sway like a 80 year old man with severe muscle fatuige.. EDIT: I would like to ask the person who stated that weapon sway is easy to mod out...... "Where is the MOD???" If it is so easy how come we haven't seen one yet. how come no one has found the scripting command to reduce or "SET" the sway Oh because, people have asked repeatedly how to reduce or remove it threw scripting and not a single ARMA DEV has responded... Must be really easy.. In that case how come you haven't shown how to remove it?? L etranger, the author of VTS_Weapon_resting MOD, even states in his thread, that he has not found the command or scripting ability to mod out the sway..............

    in my experience: you ask stupid questions you get stupid answers.. First) stop whineing... Everyone here has to do the same thing, if they want to do what you want to... No one cares.. Second) PICK ONE!! and stick with it.. OR Third) have your "mates" run the dev build on their server... Easy Peazy!!

    Weapon Sway Tweaking

    my statement was exaggerated to say the least, I am trying to make a point. I guess i have the same fear, of the devs Increasing this already wildly exaggerated weapon sway. I do have some experience shooting all be it along while ago. I know holding a gun perfectly still is impossible, However.. Prone. your sway is way more toned down and controllable, threw breathing rhythm and style (with your diaphragm instead of your chest...). The sway while prone is far from this and is even more exaggerated when moving to an erect position. I most certinaly hold fast in that i feel the weapon sway in Arma 3 is wildly exaggerated and erratic.
  25. Did you ever get this to work with editor placed buildings .. from what your posting, its looks like you just saying that those commands are already used and you still don't get the results you want.. Is that the case? or is this working with editor placed buildings?
