    I can't see maps being an issue as long as all the sample models for buildings roads and plants rocks can be ported over guess were just have to wait and see for some thing official to be said on what will be available to use.

    Blastcore A3

    A feature of A3 is meant to be shock waves but I don't know if there in yet or what ordinance they are used on, my thoughts would of been a big gbu I always remember project reality bf2 on kassan desert and you would see jdams go in to the main bunker and it would have a massive dust cloud allowing you to use the dust as cover to move in on the bunker it lasted some time too would love to see those type of explosions effects and dust clouds in a3 blast core for a2 was a must have so I am looking forward to this release dam beat me too it and you have a vid lol

    Disapointed with the full release content

    I was loading an mso altis yesterday and it felt like the game hung when it was generating the 49 towns for the modules, so I tabbed out and looked and I had 15% cpu usage and 6gb of ram being used arma3 was my only program running so it used 4gb i do have maxmem set to 4096.

    Cheers mihikle I was just putting it out there Hukfluxd I guess Sangin was not so good then as 0 donations came in but it is one of the top islands for being DL off armaholic and who knows how many DL's off sixupdater and play with six most terrains get 10k-20k hits , it seems very popular on you tube though. This is some kind of self-evidence for me that people will use free content and like and play it but don't want to support you in making another project for free in the future. I think I am coming off the fence lol

    On the fence on this 1 as Sangin took over 7 months 2800 and over hours of work and I still consider it unfinished rough around the edges I got into modding not for profit but for the fun of it and to make what I would like to use in game, donations are not really an option for me and here's why. As an example I have 3 years worth of models and 4 more terrains unreleased sat on a hard drive that melted on the power lead I have 63128 downloads of Sangin just on armaholic so to me that says its popular, when I asked for donations to fix the said hard drive on the forums with over 60000 downloads I did not get a penny from the community to help get back all the source files, the said hard drive is still sat on my desk in front of me as a reminder to back up files but my point is its easy to say yes ill donate but the reality is most wont if any even when you are giving it away for free. It also slowed down my enthusiasm to mod to a massive degree I still do but I only have shared certain assets with friends lately not to say I won't release them to the community when I get over all the demands for modders to make a3 better and release assets, it seems a lot of people expect to much and don't understand how many hours go in to projects. Yes Sangin for a3 will be coming soon now the stable is released I have found the source files on my sky drive.

    PLease forget content for a moment

    feature Vehicles can now be towed not sure if its in or just not working but can't find any info on it or how to achieve it, also shock waves I haven't noticed them yet or from what ordnance they are tied too. feature There will be a drop down menu in the editor where you can customize your soldiers gear such as camo,headgear,eye wear, ballistic vest and backpack. Problems\errors 3d scopes seem to be a problem it halves the frame rates when used and slows to a near freeze when right clicking also binos are the same General optimization of the models it seems when you put a few down the game starts to slow down and fps drops and a lot of lods are not right when you walk to wards the models like the flat bed truck. Turned out view textures are terrible not sure what has happened to them but they don't look right to the rest of the model from the out side view. Loads of modules for the editor are missing or broke. 1 animal in the menu in the editor Editor menus are messed up example tents and in there is sinks and sleeping bags they should be with objects and tents in military or objects, it seems very mixed up still. Sounds missing in editor.

    Best news ever thank you That’s a lot to look forward to! How about the Arma 2 content library? Will there be some form of backwards compatibility? Originally, we had an idea that was similar to Take On Rearmed. Unfortunately, upgrading the Arma 2 massive content library to Arma 3 standards is beyond what we can do in reasonable time. So instead, what we are going to do will be similar to Arma 1: we are going to release the entire Arma 2 library to the community and allow them create any derivative work within Arma 3. More details will be announced very soon..

    Not sure what to say yet still feels like only half a game guess we will have to wait 3 months till its all in 1 package with all the content ie campaign before we can judge it properly.

    An Old Trend renewed

    Just hope the official release will get my fps back to a playable state only 2 days to go and worrying about it being stable as I have done the alpha and beta with all its ups and downs on the dev build now I would like a solid stable game to use that looks good and plays good.

    Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- DISCUSSION

    Be nice to see a demo of how the new vehicles can be towed can't see anything in the action menu and I found nothing using google. It would be a good idea if the hemett box could drop the drops sled off the back for missions it would make it use full, also a variant with no box just sled on the back so it could be used for other objects to be transported or vehicles to be transported for missions.

    A2 vehicles a solution or A3 lack of content?

    All I can say to the no fixed wing crowed is in the arma sample models folder lies an A10 and an Su34 "stop your jibba jabba and get some nuts", or sample models that can be used as fixed wing for A3 with a config. I have said before Toh got the rearmed in a patch it merged a2/oa into toh with the hinds dlc, so just wait and i'm sure we will get the same for A3 in time till then if your not happy start to learn modding and all of its necessity's to get it in game.

    I think it was because the community thought it was too futuristic for A3 from what I remember from a while ago on the forums when those pictures were first put up. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?127417-Railguns-and-coilguns-could-a-BI-dev-clear-that-up just one of the threads that was about at the time.

    Mine seems to of got worse I was stable at 10k view and 4k object all on ultra now I have 2k view and 1k object and its stuttering and not loading ground textures in the distance they appear white and cant turn, walk, scope, without freezing.

    Got a few questions on the confirmed features like how do we get the towing of vehicles working and has any one noticed the Shock waves as i have not seen them working yet also the Blood loss will be simulated, including blood trails might be me but I haven't see any.

    Performance has taken a hit for me again stuttering again down too 2k VD and 1k object yesterday was getting 10k VD and 4k object and ran smooth when i put all the new kit down slow and stuttery just looking at it armoured vehicles tracks below ground civ truck not level to ground ai cant reverse tanks and armour refuse to do it physx on some vehicles seem skrewed

    Altis: Criticism and Suggestions

    I can definitely say that not all the buildings are enterable. Neither should they be but the doomsayers on here are a little bit annoying... @ dale your not doom saying are you after you were happy with what you saw from pre altis on the other thread when we mentioned use able buildings to be in game and not static scenery objects you moaned at us lol and they say leopards can't change their spots My thoughts are when flying the sat image shows lots of green foilage but there is hardly any foilage placed on the green areas of sat image, it makes it look out of place i know there is grass but it looks like small patches are bushes from the sky and there is no bushes on the ground were these patches are. more feature buildings and make them actually fully use able actual crop fields as at the moment how could altis have farming land but not have 1 crop field Wooded areas need more bushes and foilage around or near them hills need more rocks and bushes for a bit of cover especial on the green sat image areas on hills and rocks on sand texture. more terrain detail fences that end with a post not like the invisible ones we have at present. more fences / rockwalls around the farming fields less sunbeds and umbrellas if it is/was a war zone who the hell would book a holiday to come into a war zone.

    thank's saok back to 10k view distance and 4k object on all ultra settings, also no more stuttering when turning left or right or using binoculars or scopes also is that the top limit for vram as I have 4 gig on my cards could i max it up to 4094. cheers again SmokeDog
