  4. Why am I having these problems.....what am I missing....any help appreciated! I am looking to have the majority of Altis occupied by OPFOR with 6-8 BLUFOR playable units (created in the editor) attacking their areas (mil placements/civ mil placements). My issue is....TASKS will NOT generate for my small squad, even though I have selected OBJECTIVES ONLY and I DO have it all synced up correctly. Requires Alive - yes Profile sys - yes Blufor OPCOM is synced with Opfor Mil Placements TAOR markers are correct etc Very Frustrating......is it even possible to play without AI Blufor teammates?

  6. great work on the ALIVE mod! I have a quick question......how do I create the TASKS to pop up if I am only using one or two BLUFOR Players that I added using the EDITOR. I am able to make large battles with everything synced up etc etc. All I am looking to create is a MAP occupied by OPFOR with a small Island Base of BLUFOR.......with TASKS :) I do not need OPFOR to attack my humble base but am looking to attack their Military Facilities etc......yes, I have read the Manual, yes, I can make large battles and yes I have watched the video tutorials but all these cover the Module generated players/groups and not placed unit/s by the editor with functioning TASKS. Any help is always most appreciated :) Thanx in advance!!
  7. I am not sure how helpful my reply is going to be....but here goes anyways :) You need to upload all the files (PBO's) that are included in the Tac-Ops Mod to your server files. I did this by creating @Tac-Ops folder and then created an ADDONS folder inside of that. I uploaded the PBO files (located in the Tac-Ops ADDONS Folder) into my server side ADDONs folder inside of my @Tac-Ops folder....you following, lol Then I needed to add the @Tac-Ops Mod to my Command Line. My guess is that there is a far easier way to do this - I am relatively new to server admin etc, this works great for me but I am sure different servers have different protocol as to how these things are uploaded/activated.

    Microsoft 360 controller settings

    I use a program called Xpadder that turns the Xbox controller into a keyboard - I only reach to the keyboard to hit 'M' for map (ran out of buttons, lol).

  11. I guess its just a Happy Accident for you then :p Coz you know that we cannot write anything there as it gets reversed on the opposite side.....search your feelings, you know it to be true (in the voice of Darth Vader).
  12. The real reason is the the texture file for some uniform and vehicle skins are based on symmetrical and transparency - if it had writing for example it would appear as if written backwards on one arm, tested and true :)
  13. No reason to change them? How about the fact that they are reversed (backwards) on one arm, pretty sure the good old US of A do not have Old Glory facing reverse on any uniform.....or am I mistaken?
  14. love the falling animation - I did notice the big splash now when a character falls into the ocean from the docks (maybe old news but looked great) :)
  15. I am currently renting a server from Jest (great performance) - but am also at a loss with not being able to run the Profile. I have the profile, I can edit the profile.....but, the game will not run it for some reason. It feels like the game is running a different profile (basic profile) from somewhere else, but where? All I want to do it take off those ridiculous crosshairs that stick to every object in the arma universe and remove those huge white hexagons from my teammates, lol......I would also like to stop the enemy from being able to sprint in the opposite direction from my fire and then spin around while still moving a nail me from 500m without raising their weapons...lol Not that much to ask...is it? Any help on the above issue is kindly appreciated.
  16. The next game EXE to be released on Development branch will likely already be Beta-skinned. Its description and icon will look like it's the Beta. More importantly: it will already change profile paths, registered file extensions, etc. Be aware of this when you go looking for your settings and other content! Devs did mention the 'possibility' of 'some' of the Beta contend being released within the Dev Build prior to the official Beta release on the 25th....maybe we get lucky?

This is not a wishlist thread or a post listing demands, more a question or possibly some discussion (after all that is what a forum is designed for), regarding something that has been on my mind since ArmA 3 was announced. 1. Have the Dev team ever played their game with these following community made additions? ACRE (Radio Environment) JSRS (Sound system) Shack Tac HUD (Situational awareness HUD) 2. If yes (and I am 100% sure they know all about these fantastic additions), why are we on the verge of the Beta release without any of these well known and well loved features being implemented? My only reason for this post is to get an idea of how many of you/us will be using these above listed addons as soon as they are ready. The Alpha is great, the fact the community were involved in the Alpha is excellent but in my humble opinion the true evolution of the series would be to take note of not just what the community picks out as bugs and glitches but what the community uses and coverts. Stop the madness and work with these fantastic modders and make Arma 3 the best game it can be and not the almost best game it could have been, lol

    Agree, the transport looks great - far better than the Hunter class in my opinion. Interested in seeing how the new MP mode plays out with the two factions possibly teaming up to fight of enemy advances until Chopper extract arrives. :)

    Arma 3 Medics / injured

    If the server or game mode has the REVIVE option running then anyone can act as a Medic to raise the dead/unconscious......if you check your Map it will show where the fallen are that need Medical help (you can left shift and left mouse click while in the map to create a personal waypoint to help guide you to the downed player - this will create an in-game guide to help when you exit the Map). I hope this helps - also, the tac-ops server runs the Domination Game Mode that uses the REVIVE feature :) I hope this helps a little.

  22. Our group has the same exact issues (playing Domination with Hunters only), but when the new driver operates the vehicle the 'bugged' driver has no or limited vehicle sound....hmmmmm

  25. yep - it changed last week and I don't like it either, lol I hope it goes back to how it was with the mode remaining persistent in both optics and normal view mode.
