  1. I find the latest ARMA3 launcher can let you choose your mod folder to store mod subscribed from steam workshop. Then I change the default arma3 folder to my mod folder (the game is in SSD driver and the mod is in a large HDD driver), but there brings some problem that it makes me have to unsubscribe all the contents and re-install the game. Before unsubscribing I have backed up some large mod. Then as I installed the game, open the launcher, and finish options, I put the backed up mods into the mod folder where is to store subscriptions. Of course I have to subscribe them at steam workshop, then I find the old ones were not identified and it start to download again. What's more I find it first downloads contents into XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\downloads, then copy it into the XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\107410 folder, Then it will put another copy into my mod folder, Whitch means, it downloads the content once and copys it to another two different place, then delets itself. Why I choose a mod folder? Because the driver I installed ARMA3 is SSD and it is smaller than my HDD. I wish to download the mod into my HDD, but now I find that in my SSD driver it still has one copy! (the game is in XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Arma 3) So I not only don't save my SSD space but also waste my HDD space again. Whats more it writes and reads twice in my SSD. I think BIS add the new function to choose mod folder is to help us put mods in a larger driver, however it seems useless. :wacko: Can this be solved? ADD: Even you don't change the mod folder, it still leaves 2 copies. one in your game folder, one in XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\107410 folder. PS: If I delet contents in XX\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\107410 folder, it will re-download automatically. Please VOTE for this http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=26125
  2. AI gunner still doesn't relay on FCS, when I as commander order gunner to target a moving enemy, it can directly calculates the ballistic without any hesitate.

  7. BUG report: when using ARMA3 APEX keyboard setting, while changing weapon at the same time pressing mouse fire button, the next weapon can fire though it is still on your back.

    1. How to cease suppress fire? Now I use x-2-1 "no target" to cease fire but AI always waste one mag before cease fire. 2. ai don't care if there is friendly in front of them when suppressing. 3. using this order can TK team members.

  11. in the latest dev branch or even earlier, I find a problem I think it might be a bug: We all know PP2000 or rook 40 is a very less impactive weapon. often it costs 10 bullets to kill a target wearing a carrier special rig. But in my test, one shot on thigh or coxae area may cause critical damage or even death to target in 95% chance. So the problem is: if it is difficult to kill a well equiped target, then shoot his lower body -- Is it reasonable? Or there is something wrong in body part HP?

    I always think X-2-1 "cancel target" can really work! Or I don't know how this order works. Plus, I always think there should be a "retreat" order that can make AI run back faster.

    WHEN can friendly AI soldier learn to avoid of coming car/tank? I have played Combined Arms showcase many times, and in many times the APC often kills my teamleader by car accident.

My os now is WIN10 64bit Why when I click IronFront_Arma3_CommunityPatch to install patch, it pops up a window says "Iron front for arma 3 patch is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted"? Early this year when I used WIN7 64bit, I have patched iron front to 1.13 and the DLC to 1.08 from six updater. But now the new patch won't work! And I have to re-download every patch and mod and re-run the every step, but none the patch can work! What's wrong with it? And what is @if_other_addons? Do I need this addons to run the mod?
  17. In the very early stage of ARMA3, the grenade couldn't be thrown into a building if there is glass in front of the grenade. Then after one branch, the issue was fixed, by a ridiculous way -- the grenade fly through the glass and into the building without crash the glass. Now it is the end of 2015, Can I see the grenade crash the glass in 2016? And for some kind of glass, such as very thick glass or bullet proof glass, maybe man can't use a thing like grenade to crash it by throw.

    what I complain is more about the unreasonable part of AI design. It can't not be done by just change the difficulty. For example, AI don't know when to rush (while you want them pass through a streat more quickly), when to retreat (while you want them out of engage), when to get cover, what is hit and run tactic, etc.. Also, AI can still detect what your stance is after you run behind a cover like wall or door. Those above can not be solved by just change some options.
  19. When you are hit, the camera will shake, but the aiming point is still on the target. The correct feature should be: when you are hit, the camera will shake and the aiming point is out of target and move randomly. Of cause someone can say, the camera is shaking so you can't aim at the target steadily. But I believe due to the aiming point is still on target, AI won't be affected by the shaking camera feature. SO when they are hit they are still aiming at the target and ready to fire any time.

    i correct myself, it should be that: AI may be affected by weapon sway and stamina, but these features nerf player more than AI. BIS want the game pace more slow-- more tactical, but BIS never teach AI how to play with player tactically. The AI is part of computer program, If you don't teach them to aim at target steadily then fire, they will be cheating, once they are aiming at you, they don't care the sway, they can lock on you in 1/1000 second and fire if the aiming point just pass you. Even if AI‘s arms are hurt they can still head shot you 300m away with an ACO scope. The program for AI must be that once the aiming point pass the target's head (AI can caculate the ballistic curve by your PC), fire without any waite and hesitation. Fight AI face to face even 300m away is still suicidal behavior.

    When AI is hit he can still quickly re-aim at you and fire. Even though maybe he suffers the weapon sway he doesn't have to waite for the weapon being steady then to fire.

    the latest dev branch again make the showcase Combined Arms more difficult because BIS always nerf player but AI isn't affected by this weapon sway, stamina, bla bla bla. Now AI can still rush and stand up to head shot you 300m away with an ACO scope!
  23. It is useless! Because only in ARMA3 for any guns you will hold breath to aim at target far above 100m steadily, that means not only sniper with scope but every weapon with/ without any scope, which cause when you fire with your automatic rifle, you can't hear your breath. You can't take good advantage of the feature. I suggest BIS make a bar to show breath status. It will fade or change color to show how much time left you can hold breath. Or learn from some other game: make a Heart Rate Chart.
