    My first campaign

    This is a great idea. I don't remember any mission or campaign doing that. You'll need to get a really good narrator, with a good quality microphone, though. Otherwise it will do more damage to immersion than good.

  6. Wait. What are side quests? Edit: If I understand the FAQ correctly, side quests are the objectives that you do WHILE you are scouting? The abandoned battlefield for example?

    Ace up the Sleeve and Jala Jala both completed on the CiA server! Thanks VanhA, both were great missions. We had just one problem. Having gathered the intel on the location of the communication tower, it switched us to the mapbut didn't center on anything clear. Later on there were no marker on the correct tower. Finally we managed to spot enemies next to the actual target and by that confirm which one needs to be destroyed, so we overcame the difficulty eventually. Awesome work! Looking forward to more of your great missions.

  11. What makes you say that? Maybe I'm not aware of what you have in the works for ACRE. What features would make it the DCS of radio addons that TFAR don't have?
  12. Mission complete!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a fool to select to play this mission while it was already 01:30, I ended up getting yelled at by my wife when she caught me try to sneak in to bed at almost 04:00! Damn you bardosy, you just keep piling up those objective at us don't you? I loved that mission, it's like a little campaign within a mission. We survived the initial counter attack by laying low, using thermals to spot the enemy, snipe them from afar and repeatedly calling mortar fire missions on them. The rest really felt like a real war, with moments of silence and on the other hand, moments of sheer terror with all the world blowing up around you. Awesome work! I'll put up a video of that mission and post it. Looking forward to Ep.4!

    Yeah, it does. Well, it attempts to add the equipment they had in their backpacks to the Radio, which has room for equipment. But it's better not to give team leaders backpacks with mission critical equipment, anyway, as this behavior still has issues. Yay!

    Thanks whiztler. About TFAR - Is it really necessary to add it to the parameters? We are always using it, it's installed on our server. When playing your missions we just disable ACRE in your parameters. About testing - will a test be valid with only one or two guys?

    In certain ranges, the AI tends to shoot in fixed intervals, which sounds very artificial. It used to be this way in Arma 2, but it's I think it's a new phenomena in Arma 3.

    Weapon tests

    This is a great because I always doubted if the AI vision is actually blocked by smoke! Glad to see we can rely on it. It's reassuring. Thanks again for this helpful test PoorOldSpike, it's very very helpful!
  24. Ok, we WILL try this again! [insert warcry here] Yeah, we used all our rockets against the attacking armour with good effect. Our armour attacked as well but was destroyed by the enemy armour and infantry. We had CSAT infantry support but the AAF infantry just washed them away.

    Third person mode & realism

    Well the use of a poll will the same of this written debate- to become aware of somebody's else's preferences and the reasons behind those preferences. It's not like the poll will determine anything for anyone. And regardless of the poll, I see no harm debating aspects that are later left to anyone's configuration, that's a major part of these forums.
