  1. TPW crashed by me on startup. Said "TPW_MODS.hpp not found" but the file is there. then the game crashes and a "bad_module_info" message. pops up.
  2. What gear level support this CTI? Vanilla, DLC or Apex?
  3. I dig that thread, because i want to rent a server for my Friends and me and have som Questions about that. I known from my old days that ArmA Server Hosting has some trouble and only root/dedicated server was sufficient for that, because Game Server Hosters tend to overbook there Racks and restrict your access to the Server so you mostly can't run a full fledged CTI on it. Is that still a thing? also the servers gets regular restarts, what i wanted to avoid for resuming coops and long run CTIs. Another questions i have: Is the dual Core only still a Thing? So i have to get a high clocking CPU? Or get they the Threading finally right so i can utilize a multi core Server? Is there already an AI memory improvement made? Last time i run a Single player CTI it was crippled down after a while because of that (which was usual for Desktop running CTI server back then) but even the Server based CTIs tend to cripple down after a while and wasn't playable around Midgame. i known that this depends on AI Settings and most public server shut down AI for that reason, but i want AI up to 24 if i like. /€: I work me through the HC wiki right now...i can run per slot 1 HC client if i want? sounds good. How big is the Storage usage of the Server. I Known that a ArmA 3 Installation can pumping up to some GB due to Mods and such. Is this on a Server side also a thing? Yes, i known that dedicated Server hosting means part wise a serious amount of work/learning. or should i restart with a small GSP server and later then upgrading? I aim at the moment for a 12 Player private pw secured server without regular reboot (only if i wanted it so). Or a ded root server with ftp access for modding or is that not necessary?

    Spatsiba: Yeah, the mission IS hard if you play it like the devs have plan it. The Kuma there will be a real pain in the arse. and the Chopper also, not to mention all the gorgons and Moras around the town. But if you break the rule the mission is quite easy. I actually discover that BIS may have change some important details on the missions. In fact i was early this Week able to finish this Mission with the Kuma and a Mora. both 100% health. So here in my opinion the way with the best possible outcome:

  9. Why should it break the EULA? if i remember correctly it exist all Campains also a Coop version from some dedicated modders. / €: Is the Asset loadout in the Missions Changed in the last patches? the Ammo Bearer is totaly gone now. ^^

    envy that, i try literary DAYS to get them...no friggn Chance. i was plain to dumb to shoot of the Crew properly. /€: to the guy abouvr me. Why don't use the enemys gear? take out all enemys in the Town you should have enougth gear for all what you want inkl some rockets.
  11. In fact the timer thing grinds my Gear at most. In the old OFP Days i have to stay with my binoculars an hour in bushes to figure out how to crawl with Amstrong througth the enemy line, Now you have to RUN guns blazing to get in time to your target. This was not supposed to be CoD. pls devs put the friggn Timer off!! Also the staged Arti fire. what the hell? if i friggn WANT to fight against them let me. don't put shells on me because i don't run fast enough in a certain direction. If i dont do so as if it was supposed put Enemys at me. Even Tanks. but let ME decide what i want to do. If there no Chain of Command anymore so I can do what i want.
  12. They will add to the Crates anyway. But if you get one you can't it put back again. Mostly the Clothes Crates is empty every time you reload the camp they will be sortet right again.

    At the east swamp heliport you have a S***load of AT Weapons. Use them. the Tanks are no thread anymore. Because the 2nd dangerous thing in this game was a Tank...the most dangerous thing in there was a Infantry soldier with a AT weapon.

    if they can shoot at you, you are to close. get a MG and the TWS and a good chuck of distance between you and your enemy. 500m above should good. then kill them BEFORE they even get a glimpse of you.

    Nice approach. a heavy tank colume, I try it this week again too and my Goal in that is...Kill ALL the Enemy's...as mech inf squad! Right now i have to learn again how the nice spots are. <_< I have allready a TWS MG Scope that was YERY important in the first part of the mission. and the marksman addon. this is also important, the bipod function is crucial in this approach My beginning is very slow and long because i have to get all the gear for my troops before i can go and have fun. my Standard load out i prefer and try to put on the AI is: CSAT Assassin Helm (armor level IV) or higher (CSAT Defender helm was imho the highest in game but i never found one) NATO uniform, no gurilliera clothes (More stuff you can put in) Vest with min Armor level3 (after a while your whole team will have lvl5 anyway ^^) carry all Backpacks 5 First aid on uniform. 5 Stanag (never use tracer) if GL rifle, also 5 nades if normal MX up to 9 stanag 3 smokes for the medic all AI weapons with ARCO, only the MXM with DMS or LRPS my self i use all the time, Nightstalker, ARCO or TWS if available silencer (i didn't found them again yet) all tactic glasses (because TACTICAL!! ^^ ) black NVGs from CSAT (or brown) only myself has a Binocular and GPS, DON'T give the AI Binoculars. they allways use them and lost precious seconds to fire back if they under attack because of weapons switch. they are slow anyway don't make it worse. Weapons: right now i try to get all the MX ones, because of the 6,5 stanag you can use in ALL Weapons of this type (yes the LMG can also use the 30rnd clips) switch out the MXC with standard MX weapons if you can. My feel is that they are more powerful. only myself has other weapons. the ammo management can otherwise a real pain in the Ass. Main weapon is the Zafir 7,63 with TWS MG. Good up to 600m above i try the lynx or if ammo low some 7,62 with the nightstalker or normal TWS (no MG). but mostly i sit in tanks and blow them up. all AI that is NOT special (medic, eng, etc.) have to carry at least one rocket weapon. minimum one have a AA set. Titan over PCML over alamut. General: Try to shoot the pilots and crew and DON't blow up the vehicles only. they are useable and repairable and very useful for you. only activ enemy armor should the a real threat for you and blown up by default. 1 Old rule since OFP:if you want to stay alive, STAY OFFROAD AND LOW AS POSSIBLE.in fact i fly in this mission ONLY if i want to end them. 2 if your in a car: PUT OUT THE ENGINE! IF YOU NOT DRIVE. 3 park the the cars tanks and all other things ALLWAYS between Houses or behind walls and fences or in corners of them. This walls and fences works as slat armor for you and give your the precious seconds you need to survive to flee or fight back now my approach

    Squad.xml not working properly

    I have tested is today a few times because i want to change it a bit. It works ONLY with plain straight links like: www.yourdomain.com/folder/squad.xml ANY kind of script or referer would break it. That mean Windows live aka Onedrive, google drive, dropbox etc. DON'T WORK and i wonder, this is the only thread i can found with some proper infos about squad.xml since 4 Years ^^ /€: My old Problem appears right now: Logo is dark in the Map view (under "players") and not shown on the vehicles and on the uniform. my own solution don't work right now. https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/140516-template-arma-3-for-file-squadxml/?view=findpost&p=2489798 I try another approach this evening /€²: I found the Error. It was a case of "Too many Trees to see the Forest"

    Squad.xml not working properly

    I have fix it in a Way. But i don't understand how. I have convert the picture File from .tga to .png with all the Alphablending and stuff and with compression 0. Then i convert it from .png to .paa and it works now. i have try it before only with uncompressed Saving. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149304-Template-ArmA-3-for-file-quot-squad-xml-quot&p=2552515&viewfull=1#post2552515 Can anyone explain it why it is working? i have no plan about Graphic an such a thing so i don't get it.
  21. I'm little bit confused. What we talking about here? The Benny Warfare or the BECTI? The Benny Warfare was a advancement from the Orginal ArmA Warfare mode, the BECTI was a conversing from the old MFCTI from OFP both are great but the play style is different. The Warfare is with much more AI centric and a has very strong AI resistance (good to slow down the Game and give the slowpokes like me the possibility to Build up before they came with the Choppers ^^ ) The BECTI is the old school Mode for nearly pure PvP Play style with low Resources and much driving/flying cause of no Teleport functions and stuff. I found only the BECTI till today, if exist any Server how the Warfare is runnig so pls tell me. And whats about the Workshop thing? And ACE is not coming cause of this?

    Okay i have a Fix for the "no logo"/"Dark Logo" in squad.xml Problem: Looks like it is a transparency Problem. i Have try it with my old 128px logo To fix it try following: Open the source .tga with GIMP or a similar Program. then Export the picture to a .png format. choose Directory and Filename. Click all check boxes. (the importent part is i think to set all the Gamma an transparency setting correct) Set compression to 0 Save it. Open file with Texview2 "Save as..." and rename the Ending to .paa Save it. Upload it to your Squad.xml Web space Frankly i have not the slightest Idea why it is works, because i have try it yesterday only to save it uncompressed (in tga format) and it dosen't work, but it works now so i think it has something to to with the Transparency. ^^ The hint with the png was somewhere in the Forum here but i don't remember where. ^^;

    What? So i have to made a complete new squad.xml literary? Perfect. I screw up my whole Squad Webspace to fix it and have now exactly one buggy A3 logo. :rolleyes: But what more annoying is...i found nothing about this in the logo section. Thx i will try right now. @-KissDavid: Where is the Download button? i dont understand any single word on your page. i dont even kown what "downloading" means in french. :(
