  1. There still seem to be some of those artistic wrought iron bushes lying around on the Altis landscape. They are so well made that they look just like some of the other, normal, wooden leafless bushes, but hitting them with a vehicle will cause a large amount of damage to the vehicle and injury or death to the occupants. They can also cause the front of the vehicle to rise up dramatically and In extreme cases the vehicle can be launched into the air. Please could you task one of the Minions from the Ministry of Architectural Sculpture with removing them from the Island and replacing them with wooden ones?

    Launcher crashing

This seems to have been fixed in 1.58. Thank you.

    Launcher crashing

My launcher has been continually crashing ever since 1.56 came out, probably 75% of the time I try to use it. It either never shows the news items, or stops working soon afterwards, seemingly just before or whilst checking the workshop content. The error is always the same "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): Not enough quota is available to process this command". Once it has crashed it doesn't seem to completely shut down when closed using task manager and won't startup again until the computer has been restarted. Here is the full log: http://pastebin.com/dqbX1QWA
  4. 2 big points to remember - they also changed the names of at least 2 settings: 3rdPersonView is now thirdPersonView and WeaponCurser is now weaponCrosshair which is probably why these two settings are causing so much trouble.

Same server, same mission so there is something else at play.

    Wrought iron bushes

One of the difficulties seems to be that the bushes are not consistent - one time they will damage the car, another time they will not. This bush: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/505902374495043668/73E609C48929FC324FB09DF24BC2E8A7EA0D70BB/ Wrecked my car and damaged me yesterday: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/505902374495044382/C594163AE58576A3A131A2D153B113FC1747D75A/ But today it didn't.

    Wrought iron bushes

That is indeed what the bushes look like, but not all of them that seem to look like that are made of iron.
  9. We would still use steamcmd to update the server?
  10. I can't seem to get the HC to connect to a server that is on the same server box and has a specific ip set with -ip= xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. I have the correct -connect=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx set for the HC. If I remove the -ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx then the HC can connect with -connect=127.0.0.1. Other programs eg rcon etc can connect to the server without any problem with a specific ip set for the server. Has anyone else come across this issue and found a solution?
  11. As per Dwarden the solution seems to be to add -ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to the HC command line.
  12. Sounds like you need to adjust your BE filters to suit your mission.

    BattlEye service implementation

The say player# message command seems to be broken atm. The say -1 message for the whole server still works.
  14. I originally posted this in its own thread, but thought it might be more appropriate to post it here in the Battleye thread, since it seems to be a similar issue to one mentioned above. Unfortunately it really makes the HC very unwieldy to use on a dedicated server setup, since running with the .bat files requires you to be logged on to the server box - the thread stops as soon as you log off. Unless someone knows a better way to do it? I hope that this is fixed before the new BEService moves to Arma3. Has anyone managed to get the Headless Client working with Firedaemon and the new Battleye system for Arma2 CO? No matter what I try it keeps on opening up extra copies of Arma2OA.exe, which doesn't please the players on the other servers on the box, since the box eventually grinds to a halt. It works OK running arma2oa_be.exe with a .BAT file, but that is no use for running unattended since it closes shortly after logging off the box.

  16. You need to increase the size of your Windows swapfile - but I would guess that 4GB is too little memory to run 2 instances of Arma 3 smoothly since ideally you do not want to really use the swapfile at all.

Adding a row in Arma XML?

Try editing the file in native xml, then you should be able to see what is going on. Oh, and Hi from another 82nd Airborne Clan.
  18. The text chat is only echoed by Battleye if there is someone to 'hear' it, so you need someone else on you side for side chat to echo, in your vehicle for vehicle chat to echo etc. If BE doesn't echo it to RCON then it will not show up in console or be seen by BEC. I have created a request in the Feedback Tracker for a channel that BE will always echo via RCON even with Global and Side chat disabled so that in-game admin programs will always be able to function. Feedback tracker administration

http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15824 This is supposed to be fixed, but I have not been able to verify as I can't seem to spawn in the correct silencer, even on 1.30rc
  20. Here is the Arma 3 setup that we use for TC Admin. It allows the cfg files etc to be set ether in the command line or in a -par files

Domination Redux by Champy and Tankbuster

Firstly, thank you for porting this great mission to Arma 3. I've just downloaded the latest version, and cannot fin d out how to set it so that the engineers get the repair/refuel option in their action menu. It doesn't seem to be an option in the Parameters section, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I know its possible, because I have seen other servers with it. Could someone let me know how to enable it? Thanks!
  23. With the impending end of the Gamespy browser many people will be trying to set up their server to use the Steam browser - as of today only 2 servers show up in the Steam browser! Here are some tips on how I managed to get one working: 1. You seem to need to use the full Steam app in order to accomplish this - as of today steamcmd seems to not want to install Arma 2 at all, and doesn't seem to be able to patch OA to the latest 1.63 beta (or if it can, I couldn't find the magical combination of appid and so on in order to do so). You obviously need to use a Steam account that has purchased the game(s) that you wish to download the files for. It is not necessary to have the Steam app running on the server in order to run the dedicated server files, just to download them. 2. If you don't already have them, use the Steam app running on the server to download the Arma 2 files. 3. Use the Steam app to install OA on the server (note: you may be able to lessen the download if you already have the files, and and can place them in the correct folders). 4. Once you have the correct OA files on the server you can opt into the beta (Right click game in Library, settings, beta) This should get you the files at least - you may still have to do some combining of the files in order to get the full funtionality of Arma2 CO to work - see http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?101214-ARMA-2-CO-%28how-to-combine-ARMA-2-into-ARMA-2-OA-and-use-together%29 and http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=17099 Once you have done this you should have a functioning 1.63 server that shows up in the ingame Steam browser - note that all your players will have to link their copies of Arma 2 OA to a Steam account in order to upgrade their clients to 1.63 so that they can connect to your new server - see http://www.arma2.com/ for details.
  24. UPDATE: Now that 1.63 is the default version on Steam you can use Steamcmd to download the files, appids are 33900 for Arma 2 and 33930 for Arma 2 OA. You still need to use a Steam account that has purchased the games in order to download the files.
  25. No mods on server, and IP hasn't changed.
