Not an addon, but would anyone have the latest version of Mando's scripts?
-
I'll double-check the .sqm errors anyway, can't hurt to make sure it's all good prior 🙂 doMove could be an option - I'm wondering if I could fix them in mutually supporting defensive positions with each tank covering a different sector using General Barron's good old cover script even if that was developed for infantry? Then, once the enemy reaches a certain point, I could have the tanks reverse to a new defensive point using this script I found on OFPEC (just thinking out loud here): https://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=28596.msg195408#msg195408 As you mentioned Arma 3 I went back and had a look through the dev diary video for it but I didn't find any mention of AI changes.

There should also be an 'fn' key on your keyboard (assuming you're using a MacBook Pro like myself) that you can use in conjunction with the F1,F2 etc. keys to have them functions as they would in the PC version of the game.

Hi zwobot, Thanks for playing and pointing out the errors - I forgot about HYK's addon writing itself in the mission.sqm. I'll fix that. I'm not sure why the BMP2 one is showing up as it is indeed the standard BIS BMP2. I'll double-check the autosave and artillery - I think I added them in at some point but they may not be triggering for whatever reason. I'll have a think about the positioning of the tanks and see if I can place the AI into specific positions. Maybe I can force the tanks to move into specific positions through some commands or disband the group and do that. Open to ideas 🙂

New version available, see first post - used lockdown time to correct a few minor issues.

Does anyone have the latest version of Hailuoto (version 1.2 I believe)?
-
Hi zwobot, I've got some of Kendo J's missions which I've uploaded to here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ctm6Oll_ngnqpItOd0kA1vVhZHkiSEDo Not sure if they're in among the ones I have - let me know. If there's any missing hopefully someone has them, I always quite enjoyed Kendo J's missions.

This might be a long shot, but does anyone have a copy of this mission they would be happy to share?

Falkland stuff below: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wGOUkGKDMfHrhdALybEx3_piEBnrScEJ I'm also interested in The Architect's missions if you find them. I think he's still active on OFPEC, it could be worth sending him a PM there.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing. I'll let you know if there's anything missing and I'll add it to my Google drive for others to access too. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q8wCI42IvAP3Gyza0dS4rgSN6DKW73df/view?usp=sharing

I believe I remember back in the day that there was a mod which replaced the US radio voices with German speakers. Can someone confirm and please share a copy of the mod if they have it?

Amazing. I didn't realise playing the demo way back in 2001 that I'd still be playing today. 🙂

I've been keeping an eye on this laptop with the intention to buy in the near future: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HH5XR8K/?coliid=I49C4WSH9H7HZ&colid=20PHMYNGG1ACA&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it However, for the same price, the below is about to come on to the market with the new mobile 1660 and AMD Ryzen. It also has a 512GB SSD minus the 1TB HD and 8GB RAM v 16GB in the above model. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QKHHRLK/?coliid=I3VK2BI0LVC32O&colid=20PHMYNGG1ACA&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it My question is, on balance, what is the better option? To go with a 256GB SSD, 1TB of storage, i7-8750H, 16GB RAM and a 1060 6GB. Or to go for a 512GB SSD, with a newer GPU and Ryzen? -
I originally had the Gold Edition, which came with OFP and Red Hammer as well as some of the patches and content updates BI released in the period between OFP release and Resistance release. If I remember correctly, you still had to patch to 1.46. Gold Upgrade was a standalone package with the content updates and Red Hammer. Resistance was released after this in 2002(?). I then picked up GOTY which must have been in 2005(!) and it came with OFP, Red Hammer & Resistance along with the 1.96 patch. In 2011, OFP became known as Arma: Cold War Assault when BIS released a small update for the game for its 10th Anniversary, bringing it in line with the Arma series which launched in 2006/2007. This update brought the game to 1.99, however, it didn't include Red Hammer which was produced by Codemasters and not BIS. If you have OFP installed with Red Hammer, you can simply move the campaign file and VoiceRH file into the same directories in the CWA folder to have the Russian voices and campaign.

Hi, all Does anyone have a copy of these scripts, both by General Barron, they'd be happy to share? The latest version of the custom formation script is 1.5 - I am unsure what the latest version of the squad rush script is. Thank you!

Will-my-pc-run-Arma3? What cpu/gpu to get? What settings? What system specifications?
-Snafu- replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Hello, all I posted 2-3 months ago asking for opinions on gaming laptops for Arma 3. I've spotted the one below on sale: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-tuf-fx504gm-nvidia-gtx-1060-16gb-15.6-120hz-3ms-i7-8750h-gaming-laptop-lt-265-as.html#tech_specs In terms of handling Arma 3, what do you think? Arma 3 is my only concern for it as every other game I play is older or doesn't require many resources to run. For reference, the laptop I was looking at previously: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FS4N3PR/?coliid=IDT2YEAMMB6X9&colid=20PHMYNGG1ACA&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it -

Hello all, I'm trying to get the following script to work, but I get the following error when the AI tries to call artillery fire: 'scalar |# |bool array string 0xfcffffefo': Error unknown operator bool Script: I'm not a scripter, so I'm not sure what the exact problem is. Any assistance appreciated!

Very useful tips, thank you. The artillery is mostly for show. The player is a tank platoon commander, so the Soviet arty is never a threat due to, as you say, constant movement. I included spotters with the friendly infantry units so it should be helpful to them if they get in a bind.
