  1. I'm in a process of converting my "Podolsk city, district #4 (in Russian: Подольск, микрорайон 4)" template into terrain format. And making new models for some of the huge buildings which were previously made out of many separate objects. Never done 3D modeling or Arma terrain building before, so the process will take a lot of time. So far I've made a first version of one of the houses and also a model of an authentic fence: Before the release I plan to make 3 more houses and school. After that I want to try make them enterable. I'm also continuing to polish object placement, a lot of them were added to the scene after the template's release. It's nice to live in an area you're modeling lol.     Forums Upgrade

    After the recent forum update I can't change my signature's picture. It always hungs for 3-5 minutes and then says: "Unable to retrieve signature image dimensions for [link to the pic], please try another image. It happens even if I try to resave that same image which is already in my sig. I've tried several image hostings (imgur.com, radikal.ru and my own website) and different formats (jpg and png). Someone says it's a forum's software bug connected to the image size restriction and can be bypassed by disabling the restriction.
  4. Hi! I making a terrain and I want to make it the way that every user who own just only the basic Arma 3 game will be able to use my terrain. After the one of the recent game updates those users can use custom terrains containing Apex objects. But they still can't use terrains containing other not-free DLC's objects? As I understand things stand like this: users with just a basic game can use community made terrains containing DLC's objects from: Apex, Malden. And they can't if the terrain contains objects from Karts, Helicopters, Marksmen, Jets or Laws Of War. Am I right? ---- Also for those who struggling with making their own placeholders or using Mikero's dummies of Apex objects in Terrain Builder: the next game update will contain decrypted Apex objects finally: Now I want Lows Of War objects decrypted

I sure used some of the assets with those DLC's icons next to them. * Apex (I think it's no longer needed after the recent Arma 3 game update) * Helicopters * Karts * Marksmen I also used "Midrange Terrain Texture Replacement [BETA]" http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19524 for screenshots, it really improves the quality of terrain texture. But the template does not need it. I tried to make it as true to reality as possible, but considering that I'm using only existing assets, it's a hard task. The template is not optimized, e.g.: I used a lot of small objects to create one building. I run it on Intel i3 6100 stock. It gives me around 20 FPS while just running around alone, but surprisingly the FPS not dropping past 15 even with >100 AI units fighting on the map. That's nice FPS, right? lol. I suggest to turn the editor's interface off (backspace key by default) to improve the performance when the template is loaded. Also it may help to keep Entity List collapsed. The ultimate goal is to properly ask all of the respective authors for permissions and make a terrain out of it. And also to replace those composite buildings with proper single models.     I think that the notice about the respawn being available after the Clash-attackers team took an airdrop should be more noticeable to the spectating players. It seams that dead players are not paying enough attention to it and I always need to tell them about it in the chat. Some big flashing text notice in the middle of the screen maybe?

    I also strongly want an option to turn it down. I turn the volume all the way up, so I can hear enemy footsteps, and that voice somehow is even louder than nearby/my own gunshots. Don't want to hurt my ears.

    As I understand, on hardcore the announcer does not announce when the point is being captured by the enemy. But when you got killed and spectating he does announce, so you can tell to your teammates about it. Don't know if it should be considered a bug. Just my opinion about stance indicator: I never paid attention to it in Arma and Argo, so it was useless for me. EDIT: it seems that announcer DO announce when the point is being captured by the enemy. I was under impression that she should not do this on hardcore.

    Can't tell anything about that at the moment. I will pay more attention to this next time. And I forgot to clarify that only the distant shots are quieter. anything else remains the same as before, including my own indoor shots. No. The only change that was made on my PC is Argo's update. ------ I played the Hardcore mode and liked it. Despite of a LOT of friendly fire. Luckily I didn't TKed anyone yet, the map info works nice. Don't know if it's the right time to introduce it, the servers are still too empty for it to be there.

    You decreased gunshot sounds volume in the 0.75 update? The distant shots now sounds a lot quieter for me. There was one time when I heard shots and presumed that the enemy is somewhere 100 meters away, but he was just 20-30m from me, that was literally a killing surprise. EDIT: maybe it's just the sound of indoor shots?

    I created a ticket about respawn issue: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T123118 I want to say that the problem grows bigger. When I experienced it on La Riviere clash area, I always can "kill myself" and respawn when the next round is starting. But when this problem hits me on the other clash areas, "kill myself" does not always helps. Very often, when the next round is starting, I can't respawn. I tried to wait one more round, but in the next round I can't respawn again. And when I try to reconnect this problem can hit again. This is a major game breaker.

    Yes, grenade solution worked for me lol. I've seen one guy killed himself two times in a row with grenade for this purpose, guess he was not so lucky. Not like I actually killed someone right on their spawn in my case, but I just didn't realized that the one round is over and the next is started. I ran to the point witch I must capture according to the map, but when I arrived, there were fresh enemy units running from that point, because it was captured/defended by the enemy. I killed one somewhere in 10-15 meters from the spawn and then got killed. And I never used that trick after I realized of what happened, because yes, it will be unfair and not interesting. Also it seems that sometimes not only you can't see markers, but normal friendly units also can't see your marker in that bugged state. I once met one unit on the map and waited for it to attack or ignore me. He started shooting at me and I killed it, but it was a friendly unit.

    I know that this should go to feedback tracker, but I just want to write about this issue here. It's known that there is that problem, especially on La Riviére clash area, when you spawn somewhere far away from the actual points and you have no markers/hud shown on screen. Sometimes you spawned without primary ammo. Another big problem here is that when your team dies and you are the only survivor, somehow the round overs, but you still there on the map, and not respawning! While the new round silently starting, you can run to the enemy spawn point and kill them right on the spawn. And then you will be considered a dirty cheater and will get a lot of hate.

    I think there is a huge disbalance on Clash area of La Riviére. Clouds have a disadvantage when you need to attack neutral point in the harbour storage area, because it's too far away from their starting point. It was the first round, I tried to rush directly to the point, I sure used the shortest route possible, but the point was captured by rushing Flames when I was ~10 meters away from the point. My team was somewhere behind me. Well, maybe there is a shorter path to the point, but I can't imagine it. EDIT: oops, it seems that I confused Flames with Clouds. The team in disadvantage is one that is coming from south. + I played several more battles, now it seems pretty ok, so maybe it was just a wrong impression/maybe I stuck somewhere on my way to the point and just forgot about it lol.

    I absolutely love the "announcer" voice, but how can I change its volume? I play in headphones and I like the loud sound of guns and footsteps, but the voice is too loud for me. At first I thought that I can reduce it by using "Radio" slider in options, but this slider do nothing.

    I feel stupid asking this question: when I use scope when shooting (without holding my breath) does it increase the accuracy or is it just for the sake of zoom? I always thought that using scope will definitely increase accuracy, but so far I can't feel any difference when firing in short and mid ranges.

    You made a great job with ping marker, now it's visible enough. But still it's hard to ping when hiding in a bush. Maybe bug: two rounds when I played Clash, there were a lot of suicides in both teams. I suicided two times in a row when enemy was shooting at me (each time it was after one or two hits). So I was killed but enemy got no frag hehehe. Still a lot of weird delayed tradekills with people with a high ping. And I think that only one of tradekillers getting kill count increase (first one?). Yeah, the servers are too empty! EDIT: A lot of AFK players lately. Votekick is not effective. It's hard to make enemy team to vote in this situation.

    So, does anyone else having this issue when one of your teammates does not have a friendly marker? I already killed 4 innocent people because of that. Not too many but it's still annoying. ------------- A love the La Trinite's clash area! It feels like you reduced machine-gun's abilities? It was my only weapon and now I'm total noob with it lol. But I like how AK-12 feels, I think it will be my fave now. I see a lot of people mastered Scout playing already, but I just can't get used to his weapon's scope.

    There were two times when one of my teammates was without a friendly marker. So I killed them. I'm sure that one time it was because of lags but the other one was without any reason.
