make sure you have the actual mod name in the config.patches as well. Also..make sure your $Prefix$ file has the correct path when packing the pbo. -

This is a really nice addition to ASR AI. I've been testing it the last few days in deciding whether or not to add it to our group's modset. Very impressive stuff. You mention an update coming...new featues or just bug fixes? Nice work on this. -

In the virtual AI module there is an option to set spawn distance for helos and aircraft. Set it to 0. -
FYI Eric, Looks like the config file got wonky on you. I got an error that there was no config for tban and the factions won't show in editor. Using the Steam version.

Added a lightweight Taliban faction in the Orbatron https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8iD_7EZwkBhZmVFTHN4dC13Wkk?usp=sharing I deliberately made it lightweight so groups can use it if they prefer CUP, RHS, Massi, etc. when adding it. I also designed it with ALIVE insurgencies in mind as the faction is grouped in smaller insurgent teams. It includes a mortar unit and some technicals as well. Mods needed to use it. Eric, Not a huge need, but I thought I'd suggest removing the "beach sunglasses" from the Taliban. With the randomization, many of the Taliban fighters and Civilians end up walking around with bright red/blue/green oakley sunglasses on. Just looks a bit "off". Makes me think of the Freedom Fighters Michael Douglas runs into in the movie "The Jewel of the Nile". Anyway, super small thing but I thought I'd mention it.

I just uploaded a newer British Desert and British MTP faction to the shared drive, and I have now added a Tropical style faction to the British. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8iD_7EZwkBhcVVEdFdvTWZlOFk Units are wearing Tropical camo and have woodland/tropical vehicles. I have also added Naval units to this faction so that you can have gunboat patrols around Tanoa. Mods needed to run the British Tropical Faction 3CB (all 4 packs, Units/Equipment/Weapons/Vehicles CUP (Units/Vehicles/Weapons) Beazly's MAN Truck Retextures Burnes Foxhound Burnes Husky The faction is visible and working in Zeus. -

The two new tasks are great. I was messing around last night on Takistan using my new custom British Desert faction vs Takistani Army. Did the CSAR task and had to rescue an RAF pilot near his downed Harrier. Then had to save my 3cb officer from being executed. I love how it pulls from the custom faction seamlessly. Great job guys! -

That's plenty of vehicles IMO. Creating optional RHS based or CUP based versions is a brilliant move as most groups utilize one or the other as their "big"unit mod. Thanks for doing this. -

For those who are interested to see what the ORBATRON can do.... I've been using it for a few weeks now. I created 2 Orders of Battle for my favorite British Mods. It allowed me to put all of my favorite Brit stuff under one faction in ALiVE. So I can have 3CB Infantry and Jackals supported by CUP Wolfhounds, Warriors, Bulldogs, etc. I can have supplies and Ammo brought in by Beazly's MAN trucks, etc. It's a massive help in building ALiVE missions and creating more well rounded forces for campaigns. I wanted to give props on the Taliban. Providing an unarmed variant is outstanding as I can slap together a faction without chaining myself and my gaming group to RHS or CUP or whatever as a dependency. NI Arms AK pack work great with them. Thanks again.

Also have motorized Troop units and Supply Vehicles using Beazley's MAN Trucks. Works beautifully with ALiVE. All Desert Variants of course and Desert camo infantry. -

Essentially, it's a faction creator. It allows you to combine units, weapons, etc from multiple mods into one faction. It also allows you to create new groupings within one faction (i.e. Naval groups in RHS). It's not creating a standalone mod or "stealing assets"....it's just a config. You'll still need to be running all the mods you used to create the faction in their original published state. It's a tremendous help for ALiVE mission makers because it allows us to tailor campaigns to very specific needs. For example....adding a motorized Syndikat group or perhaps giving 3cb troops some heavier vehicles such as Warrior IFVs from CUP. Very very cool stuff. -

So I was messing around in the ALiVE dev version last night and used the fantastic new ORBAT creator. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u8xdfd1eeu69xw3/AABtlJrJYdQa0JcWWmwVC9CMa?dl=0 I did this in about 30 min last night. British Royal Marines-Tropical Faction I used the 3CB packs as the main base. Infantry, Jackals, Coyotes, Apaches, Merlins, and Wildcats. Then I added Beazly's MAN Truck Retextures to add MAN trucks to the faction. Then I added Burnes Foxhound and Burnes Husky. Finally I added the Harriers, C-130s, Chinooks, Warrior IFVs, Bulldog APCs, and Wolfhound vehicles to the faction from CUP. The whole thing works beautifully! Created a mission on Tanoa, entered the faction name and voila.....a fully fleshed out British Force spawned in perfectly. Kudos fellas! I see myself becoming quite addicted to this feature. FYI...you can use this faction in current release version of ALiVE as well. The faction will spawn with no issues as long as you have the mods active that were used in the faction. 3cb packs, CUP, Burnes foxhound and husky, Beazly's MAN truck retextures. -

I didn't see it listed in the fixed section..,, Are the Titan launchers working again? Currently, they lock on, fire....then go straight up in the air and never strike the target. -

Outstanding addition with the Challenger. That was the final piece of the puzzle to fielding a well rounded Brit force. Between CUP's outstanding units, 3CB, and Burnes vehicle mods....we've got a really nice collection to work with when using the Brits. Great job fellas. -
Great stuff all around fellas. One minor bug I noticed...the sling helmet option was missing from my ace options, even though I had a Beret in my backpack. Just FYI.

Howdy folks, Our small group has been playing the fantastic Unsung Mod a bunch on our server and as a result I'll be adding a Vietnam era sounds pack to my collection very soon. I'll also be beefing up the African pack with more French speaking African ambience to fit the new Tanoan factions. The plan after those is to add a more Chinese/Korean oriented pack as we will inevitably have a flood of Asian themed terrains and troop factions coming down the pipe from the modding community.
