    White foliage textures

Hello, this issue has its own feedback tracker ticket: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T118988 Seems to be a driver related issue of AMD GPUs. According to the feedback tracker users/author you have to install the latest AMD Radeon Crimson Software 16.3.2 to solve these graphical artifacts. Best regards

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

I am not able to reproduce that issue at the exact same spot/area with the vanilla version of Arma 3. Please deactivate all your modifications and try to reproduce that issue again.

    Errors in Steam downloaded missions

I am afraid that this forum is not the right place to ask these questions. The author of the mission is responsible for these kind of errors. Please get in contact with the author via the Steam forums.

    Taru questions

Hello, Please use the search box the next time. There are several threads in the forums that may answer your questions. One of the latest threads is this one: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/191682-mi-290-taru-interchangeable-pods/ For the rest the Steam Workshop does a great job with installing and the Arma 3 Launcher with starting the modifications (no rocket science) ;) Best regards

    Mi-290 Taru - Interchangeable Pods

I will second that idea. The sling loading step (flying above the target) should not be the only method to connect the pods with the Mi-290 Taru. By the way, I have inserted a poll into my thread. Feel free to give a vote.

    Mi-290 Taru - Interchangeable Pods

Another user has created a ticket in the feedback tracker about my feature request: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T118880
  7. It is not necessary to enable uPnP. Just follow my instructions and give your friends your ip+port number. I don't really know what the uPnP really does. One day players were able to find my PC in the server browser with and without uPnP enabled. The other day nobody was able to find me if they don't know my ip.
  8. I have just stumbled across that missing respawn loadout module in Eden a few days ago too. There should definitely be a simple option to comfortably customize the starting/respawn loadout. /upvoted

Can someone explain sling loading to me?

I would just say: "Go and try for yourself!" but I will be so kind ;) If you are in command of a chopper crew (or just the pilot) you can tell him a what he has to lift and where he should drop it 1. place a soldier (player), a Quadbike and a flying MH-9 Hummingbird (click on it and hold Alt to set its altitude with the mouse) 2. connect the MH-9 Hummingbird with the soldier -highlight the MH-9, hold Ctrl, click and drag the line to the soldier on the ground -now the soldier on the ground is in command of the MH-9 Hummingbird crew 3. preview the mission and choose the pilot of the MH-9 (F-keys) 4. look at the Quadbike and choose "lift cargo" -the MH-9 will perform that action 5. open your map and look for a destination (mouse cursor) -now press the F-key and choose "drop cargo" -the MH-9 will fly to the given destination and drop the Quadbike at the given position The question is simple answered: With the Sling Load Module it is possible to directly connect an object/vehicle with a chopper without performing a lifting sequence 1. place a soldier (player), a Quadbike and a flying MH-9 Hummingbird (click on it and hold Alt to set its altitude with the mouse) 2. place the "Sling Load" module (F5 -> Modules -> Others) 3. right click on the "Sling Load" module, choose "Connect" -> "Sync to" and click on the Quadbike 4. repeat step 3 and "Sync to" the MH-9 Hummingbird 5. preview the mission -the Quadbike is already hooked at the beginning of the mission Best regards

Can someone explain sling loading to me?

Hello, I want to help you a little bit. Nearly all kind of helicopters are able to sling load (except: AH-99 Blackfoot, Mi-48 Kajman and VTOLs). You don't need a module or something like that. 1. Just place a MH-9 Hummingbird (or all other kind of helicopters that are able to sling load) and a Quadbike (every chopper is able to sling load that vehicle) 2. preview the mission, get in the chopper and press Right Ctrl + B -> opens the "Sling Load Assistant" (SLA; radar like interface on the right side of the screen) -the SLA helps you with the alignment of your chopper above the target -on the SLA all sling loadable targets are marked with a square and a green dot 3. hover above the target (minimum is an altitude of 9m or lower), both lines (horizontal and vertical) should be green, now press "B" to initiate the sling load procedure -if your helicopter is aligned correctly you should hear an engine sound (hooks got lowered) and see a visual progress (Attaching) on your SLA (strings got lowered in the third person view) 4. after the target got sling loaded (SLA shows "Hooked") you are ready to go 5. fly save to your destination -flight characteristics are now influenced by the hooked vehicle/object 6. at the destination press "B" to drop the vehicle/object -hover at least 10-15 meters above the ground ______________________________________________________________________________________ The AI is also capable to sling load and transport vehicles and objects: 1. Just place a player controlled soldier (for spectating), an AI controlled MH-9 Hummingbird and a Quadbike 2. click on the MH-9 and choose waypoint (F4; pair of shoes icon) -choose "Lift Cargo" (hook icon) and click on the Quadbike -there should be a black line from the start point of the MH-9 to the Quadbike 3. now create a second waypoint for the MH-9 on a different location -choose "Drop Cargo" (canceled hook icon) 4. now click on preview and spectate the whole procedure with your soldier Have fun and best regards
  11. Hello developers and community, I always found it stupid that it is possible to jump off of a chopper or a plane through the closed door or ramp. My suggestion reaches from useable vehicle doors to drop off limitations. We have following different types of infantry/vehicle air transportations: Caesar BTT - 2x liftable side doors CH-49 Mohawk - 2x slide doors and 1x ramp CH-67 Huron - 2x liftable doors and 1x ramp M-900 - optional doors Mi-290 Taru (Medical) - 1x slide door and 1x ramp Mi-290 Taru (Transport) - 2x slide doors and 1x ramp Mi-48 Kajman - 2x slide doors PO-30 Orca - 2x slide doors UH-80 Ghost Hawk - 2x slide doors V-44 X Blackfish - 1x ramp WY-55 Hellcat - 2x slide doors Y-32 Xi'an - 2x liftable side doors and 1x ramp And then we have all kind of ground vehicles too but I only wanted to primary concentrate on aircrafts. Nearly all aircrafts in Arma 3 have their own unused door animations (except ramps and some plane doors). My idea is as followed: 1. sitting in a flying chopper/plane with other players/NPC in the transportation area (on the passenger seats) - you and the other player/NPC can't just jump off if you/they want - no option available 2. you have to open the doors first (chooseable if slide doors or ramp) 3. after the door/ramp has opened only now everyone has the option to eject/get out off the aircraft From my point of view this little step will increase the enjoyable realism and I think it won't be so hard to implement (with some kind of trigger for the eject/get out action). Feel free to discuss and/or use the poll function.

    Mi-290 Taru - Interchangeable Pods

I have to admit I am not a big fan of modifications. Because of that I am asking for a vanilla implementation.
  13. Yes, it is only available in the development branch. So please switch to the development branch. I guess the Sneak Peak Preview version was prepared for the PC Gaming Show 2016 to give us players not only the visual informations about the upcoming APEX features ;)
  14. Hello, the magic word is "Game Updater" 1. Open Steam, click on Library -> Tools and download "Arma 3 Tools". 2. Open "Arma 3 Tools" and click on "Play Arma 3 Tools". 3. Open "Game Updater" ("Advanced Tools") -> Accept the rules and stuff 4. Now you are able to create a new Arma 3 directory. Do not choose your already existing Arma 3 account! - I would recommend you to create the Arma 3 (Main Branch) (normal A3 version) directory because it got its update in a less frequent way than the development branch. Let Steam handle the development branch because of its (nearly) daily updates. 5. Open "Options" and select the "Arma 3 Main Branch" (or the branch you want). 6. Click on "Update" and here you go. The selected branch got downloaded in its own directory. 7. After the download has finished, just go to the new created directory and make a shortcut of the "arma3launcher.exe" and put it on your dektop. You now are able to launch this A3 branch independently from the already existing Steam A3 branch.
  15. A few things I have to criticize: -You are able to load in vehicles through the closed ramps. -You can unload/drop off vehicles through the closed ramps. -You can't select a specific vehicle to unload (for now you only are able to unload all). -It would be great if we could get a proper loading-in-animation for all kind of vehicles. -Same for the unloading. A proper animation would be splendid. These are my two cents so far.
  16. Alright, there was some fault on my side. I was not able to load in more than one Quadbike then. Now it works.
  17. I have tested the new Vehicle-in-Vehicle-Feature (https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/140837-development-branch-changelog/page-41#entry3044283). Cars like Hunter, Ifrit, Prowler etc. and all kind of trucks (not the big ones -> Tempest classes and HEMTT classes; except the simple HEMTT) are loadable. BUT!!! For now it is only possible to load one vehicle at once. It does not matter if it is a Quadbike ore Zamak Repair (glad we don't have bicycles yet). You don't have to open the ramp for loading in and uloading the vehicles. There is no loading in or unloading transition. It does not matter if you are standing with the vehicles front or back at the ramp. There is only one loading position (front towards the cockpit).

  24. If you want to host a session on your home PC you have to do following steps: 1. press windows key + R -> opens the Run window 2. in that Run window you have to type "cmd" (without quotation marks) -> opens command window 3. in the command window type "ipconfig" -> shows your ip settings 4. copy the IPv4-address (e.g. 192.168.1.28) 5. Now you have to open your router/modem settings with your browser 6. take a look for a setting that is called "port forwarding" 7. there you have to create a new entry that may looks as follows: service name: "Arma 3" (or type something else) / port range: "2302:2305" (this is the Arma 3 specific port range) / local ip: "your IPv4-address" / protocoll: TCP&UDP (Both) 8. save it (9. If you want to be sure you can download PFPortChecker and let it check the reachability of your ports) Now your friends should find your game session in the Arma 3 server browser as long as you have not messed around with the Arma 3 port settings in the game (it should be "2302"). If you want to let them directly connect to your session just open http://ip-check.info and copy and paste your adress to your friends (e.g. 32.18.12.204:2302). Best regards

    ARMA 3 EDITOR FACTION BUG

Hello, have you tried to reproduce that issue without any modifications activated? I am not able to reproduce that behaviour with the vanilla content of Arma 3. Best regards.
