Did the US invade Iraq and Afghanistan in the Arma universe?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering, if the US was so busy with these high casualty conventional wars in Sahrani, Chernarus, and now Takistan, has the US even bothered to invade Iraq and Afghanistan? I mean Sahrani alone was pretty costly for the US let alone Chernarus and Takistan. From what I see it's impossible for the US to fight these 3 conflicts all the while still having a formidable occupation force in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Its easy...Iraq and Afghanistan do not exist in the armaverse ;)

And because of this the USA in the armaverse are so lucky to be still considered the good guys, because there never was Abu Graib or Guantanamo nor G.W. Bush...and the dollar is still hard in the armaverse...its a perfect depiction of our world how it should be.

Oh yeah you're right I forgot about that. Jesus talk about a strained military, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sahrani, Chernarus, and Takistan all in one decade.

well he mistook the fictive country Iraq with the armaverse country of "Tearaq"...sounds similar but is not.

Tearaq in the armaverse actually is build based on the topography of the real region of South Wales ;)

or in other words:

Is it really worth the effort to discuss the politics of the armaverse...

In the real world the US did not adopt the mando missile system nor do they give every soldier a SCAR rifle.

Leave it to someone not from America to be so critical of her. You were never there to see what was really going on so why don't you keep your mouth shut about the real world and talk about something you have actually experienced, like the ArmA world.

Sort of unrelated but this seems like a good topic to ask, but I'm curious, is the Cold War Crisis campaign part of the ArmAverse?

I was thinking it was, but hell it happened over 25 years ago so the events wont affect Takistan, Chernarus, or Sahrani much.

there are a few links to it, but very sparse...but the head commander in charge (Colonel Armstrong I think) in Armed Assault had the same name as the main character in OFP, David Armstrong.
