Posting this a third time, probably will get an answer through bone again but the hell with it. This still does not work.

Yea, sorry S2. Its broken. I just fixed it. Should be out in fridays release.

For now you can do the following to set them:

acre_sys_prc148_channels = [100,110,120]; // etc

Replace the prc148 with the prcXXX for the radios you want, same goes with powers, execept obviously replace channels with powers.

Sorry. :)

thats awesome, will the antennas be crew served? it takes us 2 people to set up a OE254 (fox mike frequency, FM >>> 119) and we also use the OE206 (aka 254 modified, same antenna but a different head, it uses VHF and UHF >>> 117 Harris radio's).

There issues with the named pipe connection that JayArmA2Lib makes with TS3 if both are not run as administrator when you have Windows UAC privileges set too high. Its a windows permissions issue.

does it mak any difference, when I use Windows XP?

Because, as far I know i am the admin on this computer.

No, it shouldnt.

If anyone is having issues that they can not resolve 100% on their own and have exhausted all other means then please find Jay or myself on TS3 at United Operations. We are usually on in either voice or text capacity from 9am through 1am US Pacific Time.

Hostname: ts3.unitedoperations.net

Address: 8.9.15.232

Port: 9171

Also its a fun place to play as well! :) http://unitedoperations.net/

1. Make sure you have @ACRE installed

2. Make sure you have @JayArma2LIb installed

3. Make sure dsound.dll is in the ROOT arma 2 directory or in the EXPANSION/BETA directory (if you're running a beta EXE)

4. Make sure TS3 is up to date (beta 26)

5. Make sure you're running via MODLINE and not OA in-game mod management (This breaks JayArma2LIb)

6. Clear out any arma 2 crap from your virtualstore, game could be reading old content from that location.

7. Confirm that your Plugin dlls are in the correct directory and that you have not accidentally installed TS3 to your user/appdata location by not running installer as admin.

did all that as well, no luck. any chance to get direct help from you guys?

I have and have done everything mentioned above. Have the latest TS3 version and followed the instructions for manual install. When I start TS3 I get the "ACRE was not loaded by Teamspeak" message and ingame, when I press SHIFT+CTRL+V/C I only get a menu, on the right it says "RADIO" and "ACTIVATE" but the content in the middle is empty. I did check my gear and I do have a shortrange radio in it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

P.S.

Been using a2t for a long time so I'm pretty experienced when it comes to mods installing.

I have the same issue, Perica.

I have the latest version of Teamspeak (beta26) too.

I run TS3 as administrator and I'm using the 64 Bit version of TeamSpeak, the 64 Bit plugin (acre_x64.dll) and Windows 7 64 Bit.

Everytime I start TS3 I get this error:

ACRE Plugin [1.0.9] was not loaded by TeamSpeak!

This may be due to an incompatible TeamSpeak version or the plugin was not enabled.

And ingame I get this error:

WARNING: ACRE IS NOT CONNECTED TO TEAMSPEAK!

We noticed that sometimes this can appear at the start of the game, even with TS3 connected. Please let it sit for a minute or two and see if it disappears. This will be fixed in the next release.

Hopefully a lot of false positives are coming from this bug.

Me and a friend were playing, using ACRE tonight.

But something wasnt right..

We could stand next to each other and still hear each other faint over the radio..

Dont matter what we tried.. just couldnt hear each other any higher, made it almost impossible to play with it...

What could i try to fix this?

Did you try raising or lowering your headset (its in the action menu)?

If your headset is lowered then you do not hear the radio as loud.

Also open your radio and try right/left clicking on the volume knob (on the 148 that is at the top of the radio, in the center).

on the 119 the only option that matters is the channel and the power! correct?

what other radio's (classnames) are there and do they function in the same way?

or do they have other options

thats today so you shouldn't have to wait that long!

its hard to set this up for a dedicated box! while playing domination (clan only)

---------- Post added at 12:45 AM ---------- Previous post was Yesterday at 11:42 PM ----------

BUG when we are playing the latest version of domination, the local ACRE "channel" for 1 random person when he is talking is heard throughout the map! and sounds like default TS3 it doesn't FAINT with distance!

since it is totally random i was wondering what is wrong? we all used an install package from our website to make sure we all got the same version and stuff! (which is the latest version of CBA, arma2lib and ACRE!!!!!!!

One question:

I just realized some folders need to be copied onto the server as well.

Is this the reason why my ingame menu was blank ie. I couldn't choose/manipulate any radio, even if I had it on me?

The documentation says that you need to have acre on your server. I think @acre and @cba are enough. I don't think you will need jayarma2lib on the server. (that's what the doc says). What acre does on your server is remember the frequencies of all the radio's the players have, and it remembers the location of all the radio's (I think :)).

I think the best way to check if acre is working is to start a new multiplayer game, multiplayer->new->pick a mission and check if it's working.

If this works it's not client related. Now try using the server.

If you look at your gear you should check if your radio was replaced with the acre radio. Just select the radio and check what it says.

Hi, my friend cant make the acre to work.

He is using winxp, ts3 32 bit, with acre.dll lastest build, he start ts3 with pluging loaded, run the game with acre y jayarma2lib, dsound.dll at root, and userconfig folder placed, we still earing him, but when enter the game he only can ear us, cant speak.Checking his key config, the default key for von is the default key (rest of us dont do nothing and the key is not present, simply work but dont appear in config).

He can ear us 3d direcctionaly and when press the radio button, the only way he can speak is pressing the ptt key, and he uses the default arma 2 communication.

No error, no crashes, only the ts3 hangs when disconnect it, and have to close the process to open ts3 again.

Maybe a bug with the acre.dll?

Any solution¿?

If he is using voice activation in TS3 that is the problem. Simply activate an deactivate PTT on Ts3 options, or use always PTT to avoid it.

any news on when its being updated? today is a broad term :D

We usually update in the evening on the US West Coast. So in about 3-4 hours hopefully. We need to get in some final tests.

My computer got hosed by a virus last night somehow (!?!?!?!) and so I had to do a total reinstall, pushed back some testing time last night into today, and cut some features from this release (like antenna code). :(

The performance features though should be wonderful though we hope. I was able to test a bit last night and the mission we were on was only giving me 20Fps, and it was all wonky and stuff, but ACRE kept trucking, computing every single frame with out fail!
