Just like the other AvP games its fun but kinda short and linear. Yesterday I finished the Predator campaign in 2 and a half hours and its kinda easy. Playing as the alien almost gave me motion sickness and I was disoriented all the time. Most fun was the Marine and also was most "scary" experience since Doom3. :)

Yeah i played Alien Vs. Predator (1) and when you play as a marine, you are alone at the base, all is dark and the aliens pop up from the no where.

Maybe i will get this new one.

It's very short and they have already charged $7.00 x 2 for 2 crappy map packs (one of which is maps that are already in the SP ported to MP).

I remember reading that Rebellion was in financial trouble right after AvP's release and it's not a surprise tbh. What is there is ok but the whole game takes less than 10 hours (casually) and if you play hard you can probably finish it in less than 4.

The MP is weak as hell and badly contrived with so many missed opportunities to cash in on the franchises.

I personally like this game a lot. Of course it could be a bit more polished but at least the Dedicated Servers finally work after five patches. The Marine campaign isn't as scary as the original (AVP:Gold) was, but it is good for what it is.

There are some dodge bits here in there (slash, the entire MP side of things) but I'm quite enjoying playing through as a xenomorph. I usually leave the Marine side of things until the end... for the sheer terror. :D

I was quite looking forward to this game but after trying the demo i was very disapointed with the console gameplay. Maybe colonial marines will be good..

Fun game but you might have problems getting sick playing as the aliens.

If you got sick playing Decent you'll most certainly get sick with AvP.

It'd better be, but since they are dev'ing that for consoles too, most likely it will be failboating its way to the dusty part of my shelf tout suite. :(

I'm going to be really harsh and say I thought it was the single most bland uninspired tripe I've played in the last 6 months. The aliens in the campaign were possibly the most un-scary things I've ever seen, they slowly walk forward and you shoot them until they die, it might be scary for THEM but I sure as hell didn't even flinch. Graphics are mediocre and as a whole it seems to be poorly made in my opinion (especially the awful cutscenes). As a horror game it failed miserably, and as an ordinary shooter it failed in my eyes also. Bored out of my brain, quit and played Arrowhead.

But i can see what you mean, the original was alot more fluid.
