Archamedes 10 Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) my 360 has gone down about 3 times since i got the damn thing. Now microsoft want me to start paying for it to be fixed because its out of warranty now. Its annoying me because my old nes that i got back in 1989 still works as well as it did when i first bought it. anyway i found this, thought it may be useful <Advertisement link removed> Edited June 18, 2010 by W0lle Link removed

Archamedes 10 Posted June 18, 2010 not sure, mine is one of the first line xboxes that came out. i thought that by at least the 2nd time i sent it off, they would have fixed it for good

walker 0 Posted June 18, 2010 Hi all The above link by Archamedes appears to be spam. I am reporting the link as possible spam. Beware! also the page seems to include automated and unrequested pop-ups of a type typical for malware sites. Do not get fooled into giving credit card details or money to a site like that. Do a Google search there are several free solutions to this problem such as this one. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2006/06/4353.ars Kind Regards walker
Heatseeker 0 Posted June 18, 2010 Finally seems that the 'new' xbox will not RROD.. http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6266498/xbox-360-slim-cant-red-ring-by-design Because they removed the red leds, microsoft are genius  . Heard it chews disks though...
Wolfrug 0 Posted June 18, 2010 Amazing site, honestly. Only rarely do you see such unabashed Billy Maysian YOU MUST HAVE THIS advertising. It even stops you as you're quitting trying to scam you some more. Not to mention having a bona-fide video game 'nerd' as their front man, smiling innocently. Fan-fricken-tastic. I'm quite impressed actually! You should check it out. The sales pitch is out of this world. ...but don't buy it obviously, I mean, it's a clear scam. Just so we're on the same page here. Regards, Wolfrug
W0lle 1052 Posted June 18, 2010 While your intention might be fine, we still don't allow links to commercial sites, no matter if they might be useful or not. Please refrain from posting such links here, thanks.
Big Dawg KS 6 Posted June 18, 2010 Its annoying me because my old nes that i got back in 1989 still works as well as it did when i first bought it. There is so much truth in that. My old SNES outlasted all of my other consoles, and aside from one or two game cartridges not loading (well, you can get them to load after a whole lotta fuss) it works just fine. I guess they just don't build em like they used to.
rstratton 0 Posted June 18, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D8ZX1BF7c0&feature=channel < only real fix for rrod
Soldier of Anarchy 10 Posted June 19, 2010 Out of 3 people I know with 360's, all 3 had to return them for the RROD. Each one bought the cooler system to.... I don't feel I missed out at all by not touching the current gen consoles. They still get the dumbed down graphically handicapped games they always have. Next gen indeed.
