eggbeast 3684 Posted January 16, 2010 In the current arma 2 vehicles there are no enemy boats with weapons: http://www.armatechsquad.com/ArmA2Class/vehicles/boats/ meaning for example that completing the water patrol in evolution LOSES points, as you kill 3 friendly boats (RHIB2Turret's). I can swap them out for pbx's or SeaFox_always_enemy but then they won't have anything to fight back with... I'm quite keen on setting up repel the seaborne landing missions but the enemy can't easily use the USMC armed boats, so building in a russian armed boat would be good Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Now we in Sweden are classed as living in the "west", and its a little bigger than RHIB class hehe but... It would be so sweet to have it in game. :) Several countries baught it from us and its used in several places over the world. They are also used as fire fighter boats, police boats and more. CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 6, 2010 Can't you just give the units whatever boat they need? It's typically rarely a boat vs boat scenario that goes on. If all fails, can't you just clone the boat class and set the clone to east (using the new beta command mergeConfigFile)? Awesome boat though Alex72. Would love to see it in the game too, but with setFlagTexture if it has a flag. But boats and sea operations aren't very friendly, probably why they haven't received the greatest of attention. AI have no clue on operating them, and the few islands that support water and rivers have way too small operating areas (causing them to get stuck everywhere). eggbeast 3684 Posted October 7, 2010 @CG i guess I could edit the rhib to make it EAST, to avoid losing points for nailing it... I'm thinking of making a search and rescue side mission in evo where you chopper or boat out to sea and recover a pilot who is in danger of being captured by enemy boats/ choppers... the current water patrol causes you to lose points when you nail the enemy rhib's cos they're USMC WEST even after the enemy are in them.
