Ace is good, just tried it , needs polishing though, The Frogfoot GSk cannon sound is broke, Am loving the interchangeable weapons though, that really is a nice touch. What wouldnt go amiss would be some precision guided bombs for opfor, like the KAB-500 or KAB-1500L, which are laser guidable.

I renamed the file to:

@ACE

Worked a dream, that's how I got the updater to finally install the latest updates without it pissing me off even more lol

You only need to rename that file to @ACE, @ACEX from armaholic is fine...

Question, I downloaded ACEX, but it didn't have .rSync folder in it, how do update it then?

What steps have you done, what error was given?

Possibly take a screen shot and upload it to a free image service?

Indeed. Always enjoyed working with others, cooperation, everyone helping out in his playing field,

and when there's a little organization, standarization and tools specific for their purpose available, things just work, go quick and smooth.

It saves so much time and frustration!

I think I'd given up without a tracker and only working off this thread :P

By the way, my ACEX ZIP did not have the .rsync thing in it either, it does not need it...

maybe better join any kind of IRC for example irc.deltaanime.net and create channel ACE2 instead of refreshing and posting on forum billions pages:)? huh?

(there is addon for firefox called chatzilla which is IRC client)

lol... very true, so many replies in this Thread about issues, it's actually quite hard for users to track the answers, who wants to rad through 100+ posts?

hahaa.... That is why..... it is often quite good to Learn about the ticket system.. It might even be a good idea to post something up as a sticky saying if you have any issues, please first go here...

If you have any other problems that you could not already find a solution for then sign up to the site, log in, then create a new ticket and keep track of it, alternatively you will get an email once there is a reply.

@Solar; Yea in theory that would work, but in practice, it hardly ever works :) People always take the most short route, and that is asking in the ACE thread (at least for them that seems the shortest route :P)

For me the solution is to throw every question into FAQ, and linking that back to the users, but things went too fast for a while :)

Very nice, I like the suggestion. I hope more people will follow it!

It would be helpful to feedback any real problems and workarounds found, to the issue tracker.

Just try the steps I wrote out, follow them carefully and try again, if you have any probs, post back :p

in my opinion there will be easier to communicate writing on priv msg

im giving short tutorial to join IRC

1.download mIRC client or addon for Firefox called ChatZilla (addons->search->chatzilla [should be easy ;})

im using Chatzilla so next step will be about chatzilla's setting

2.in text box type /server irc.deltaanime.net

3.in text box type /join #ACE2

The message it gave me in the DOS window was "Warning: Folder already exists but does not seems to have a repository. Not installing"

BTW, can some one give me the class name for the AS-50 sniper rifle which I found in the Armory, or a link to the class names would be nice. Thank you.

Updater only supports official modfolders distributed WITH the .rsync folder. Either get one or delete the folder and run update :)

Please go back 1 or 2 pages and read my post about downloading the correct ACE CORE ZIP file and follow the steps I included.

Delete @ACE, @ACEX, @CBA folders in your (ARMA2 DIR), and

THEN

Delete your @CBA folder & Delete your @ACE folder in your Six-updater, and any .PID file that may have been created in your six updater folder.

Then try my steps,

Are you sure? I've been using the betty's and flashtraps often. They worked fine for me.

Great job with the mod. It really makes Arma 2 a better game. I just have three questions.

1. I like the new option to get rid of the horrible soldier voices but it is a bit too quiet now. There should be atleast some radio traffic going on. I understand that there is a Dynamic Sound AI mod which adds random shouts and stuff like that but it doesnt work with CBA. Are you guys planning to add any new sounds in the future or is there some sort of mod already out I could try?

2. How do I detonate a nuke by without using a plane to drop it? I tried to use createVehicle commands with no luck or maybe I just screwed up somehow.

3. How do I add balaclavas or masks to AI? Do I need to use some sort of setidentity command? I also couldn't add a mask to the player without using a weapons box. I tried the following line: this addweapon "ACE_GlassesBalaklava"
