ArmA2 prone to hanging when Alt-tabbing since beta patch

I noticed that ArmA2 latest beta (run in window) has the nasty habitude to hang when Alt-tabbing many times. I'm playing on Win7 RC (build 7100).

Had no such problems before.

Same OS as OP, no probs here at all. Not looked at RPT however.

if anything ive seen the opposite. alt tabbing back into the game happens much faster now. i like it

Try the -maxmem=2048 switch. It made ArmAII instant when alt-tabbing for me.

Doesn't that simply stop the game from loading non-PBO'd data? How would that fix an alt-tabbing problem?

If you have much unpacked data, withouth the engine parses all files on each alt tab.

Try the -maxmem=2048 switch. It made ArmAII instant when alt-tabbing for me.

you need some for the buffer.
