smiley nick 51 Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) RAF Chinook release for Arma2 Download RAF Chinook For those who wish to make their own skin/livery. We all agreed to give everyone the diffuse map thanks to Topas for people to edit. Providing that the readme stays the same, and individuals are credited there is no harm in making and releasing your own livery. Texture file needs to be saved as a "Paa" and should be copied to "raf_chin47\ch47\Textura" to replace the existing one. Download Diffuse Map Origional model = AfrographiX Flight model into Arma – Pelton and the Spanish Mod Weapons and extra fixes - PRACS and Eddy Arma – Arma2 config work and bug fixing - Deanobeano Arma – Arma2 config work - Konyo After some initial confusion from the previous release, I and Eddie(Wld427) have resolved the problem and both agreed there was a lack in communication and the correct credits to Eddie(Wld427) should have been much clearer. So here we are again, a fixed and updated Chinook, with no errors reports, binarized version and improved textures donated by Topas. The model currently being used has been granted for use by Eddie(Wld427) to use as a standalone RAF version, currently using an updated model from the original AfrographiX and Pelton build. She has two door guns, fully functional and was extensively worked on by Eddie(Wld427) for a PRACs release. Another big thankyou for Deanobeano for helping with the config and bug fixing, its really down to him that we have a fully clean version, and Konyo for config work. Thankyou! Eddie has future plans for a US version, and we have both agreed to continue working together on the Chinook model for British and American variants. As stated in the previous post, there are plans for a brand new project combining forces from many individuals. For now, we are happy to have resolved this issue, and both of our main concerns was the re-release to the community. Thanks everyone Nick / Eddie(Wld427) Edited July 10, 2009 by Smiley Nick

GLeek 10 Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) [ig] http://www.lostworldreturns.co.uk/Downloads/Chinrelease.jpg[/img] RAF Chinook release for Arma2 Origional model = Afrographix Flight model into Arma – Pelton and the Spanish Mod Weapons and extra fixes - PRACS and Eddy Arma – Arma2 config work - Konyo Download All credit goes to the above authors, with permission sought. Arma2 release includes an updated version of the Arma version that never saw a public release, such new features include walk-able ramp, improved sounds, gunner positions and a rework on textures with most of the old bugs being ironed out. A huge thanks to Konyo for helping with the configs, could not have done it without him. For some reason there is a UH60 scope error report, if anyone knows the solution to this please say. The helicopter can be found under empty "RAF Chinook". Currently we are not sure how to add her to the west side faction. Again if anyone knows how, please feel to say. This will probably be one of the last release of this version of the RAF Chinook, but we will update any config and error reports. A brand new project will be announced very shortly regarding a new Chinook add-on pack to take full advantage of Arma2 and its cargo features. But for now, you can have some fun, use the attach to command and you might be able to squeeze some equipment or landrovers (cough UKF :) ) into the hull. Thanks everyone, mirrors welcome. :) Smiley / Konyo error message about UH60 scope . ---------- Post added at 05:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:14 PM ---------- Whats the RPT File errors say! that may lead to the problems so you can fix here it is Warning Message: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/UH60.scope'.Warning Message: '/' is not a value Warning Message: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/UH60MG.scope'. Guest Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) Release frontpaged at the Armaholic homepage. RAF Chinook v1.0 ** Download disabled until the below comments are resolved. Edited July 7, 2009 by Guest
manzilla 1 Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) It should be located in what ever drive you have windows installed. It's the directory for the windows profile, Documents, Desktop, etc directories are located. Maybe a search for the folder "AppData" will help. Found this on the forums too: I had trouble finding it too, if you've got XP Pro and your account is at "Administrator" or "Power user" level, it will bein "C:\Documents and Settings\'your profile name'\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA". If you have XP Home you will have to change your account type to "Administrator" to access that folder. Edited July 7, 2009 by Manzilla
