Obroa 10 Posted June 3, 2009 no console appears, you just hear a ding when you entered the right code. I wouldnt do though, the way the campaign is structered the events of one mission can alter how you are perceived by the "local" community. Till a fix comes out (and I am trying the mission every now and again lol) I am working on the editor, practising my flying skills and tryign to unlock the items in the Armory. It's getting a bit ridiculous here, I'm constantly getting sniped and rpg'd in the southwestern area but can't make out a single contact. Also, as soon as I hear the rpg/rocket "swoosh" when firing it, it will take about 6 seconds for it to reach me (and hit), even in full speed, so I guess it' s some BMP firing from like 49400m (although I set the viewdistance to 1000m) , hm? Can't see it . And neither can my otherwise superhuman AI spotters. Same with the "sniper" who kills me the second I get out of my LAV in said zone. Tbh. it looks pretty scripted. So far I have found 3 of those camps in the red area on the map but the missions still hasn't ended yet, is there something else I'm missing? From my various attempts I've learned that the location of the hostile camp changes a bit. There seem to be two most likely spots that I've seen so far: Around 033096 between the town of Grozdno and "Schwarzer Berg" (Black Hill). Around 028093 between Krasnotav and the Pobeda Dam. The easy way to get a firmer fix: Talk to the orthodox Priest during the weapon cache mission. Just approach him for the dialogue to start. Then run to the church in that town. Behind the church are some weapon crates. Choose to let the priest keep the weapons and he'll promise you some information. From now on watch the map carefully. Check it for a red square'ish icon with a transparent cross in it, named "Feldlazarett (Auf)". That's the position of the hostile camp. It may disappear from the map again after a while, so when you see it, make sure to mark it, so that you can find it again. Then grab the LAV-25 and cautiously head towards that location. Be sure to switch the main gun to armour piercing rounds and engage the T-72 first of all. Use the terrain at your advantage, stay at distance and don't hesitate to pop smoke and retreat if it looks hairy. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There is one west of the airport NW of FOB Manhatten. And there is one at the radio tower in the lower part of the red area north of FOB Manhattan. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

schaefsky 0 Posted June 5, 2009 There is a UAV control terminal at the FOBs. While controlling the UAV hit "m" for map, left click will change patrol area. Use "w/s" for flyheight, "q,y/z" for speed. That said, it is a bit useless because of it's unstabilized turret. I actually spotted the camp by chance when I was flying from the extraction point of the woman to the village the priest told me about via Starforce 21. The guys in the village confirmed the location, more or less. Luckily the tank was already destroyed (don't know how) when I got there, because Boomerang was more or less useless (I'm not sure which of the guys appearing left and right of the camp was Boomerang, none really attacked the camp) and I did not figure out how to call in artillery. Not that they ignore me as someone said, but I am given no option to give commands. I'm in a Humvee with a gunner, but usually he doesn't bother firing on anything as we come under attack. Eventually I went to the insurgent base first and wiped them out, loaded everyone in to the technicals, moved to the LZ, killed the infantry wave, but now the chopper gets there, the woman runs over to it and just cowers there not getting in. Yoma 0 Posted June 6, 2009 I also have the "cannot go near main camp" bug. Also all the enemies near the camp are simply friends to my squad, untill i get out of my vehicle, then they shoot me... And if i try riding up the hill, there seems to be an instant killzone (rpg in vehicle, magic sniper bullet when running) This could be a great mission if it weren't for the bugs...
