kklownboy 43 Posted February 19, 2013 well at 900$ ~ basically equal to a 690... whatever. It would be nice to use. Good for a creamy 1400p experience. Maybe EVGA will have the upgrade plan on this. Give back your 680 4GBs for a Titian... Hurry BT! want to read about your next uber build.
bangtail 0 Posted February 19, 2013 I'll gladly spend the money if the performance is there. As usual, until we get official reviews, it will be a storm of BS, FUD and rumors :( The price is pretty much confirmed at this point, it's the performance we know very little about. bangtail 0 Posted February 19, 2013 Interesting :D Apparently there will be no benchmarks until Thursday the 21st - unless somebody leaks them.
jblackrupert 14 Posted February 20, 2013 Interesting :DApparently there will be no benchmarks until Thursday the 21st - unless somebody leaks them. I live in the same city as Linus, maybe I can sneak into his garage and do some quick benchmarks and upload them before the cops arrive ;)
chortles 263 Posted February 20, 2013 Sheer price is enough to keep me away -- my most recent card is the first time that I've ever bought a card for more than $200 (a 660 Ti for $276 after MIR with Assassin's Creed 3) and before that it was a 5770 for around $150... absolute MSRP matters, not just performance. bangtail 0 Posted February 20, 2013 The price makes little sense to me - it is on average 42% faster (not confirmed) than a stock clocked GTX 680 and for some reason Nvidia are charging like it is 100% faster. Crysis 3 performance may push me over the line here but Nvidia are abusing the fact that there is no competition at the moment. Hopefully AMD will get something out the door that will force Nvidia to alter their avaricious pricing.
Leon86 13 Posted February 20, 2013 Dunno, people seem to be fine with paying a decent premium for nvidia. 680 is over 20% more expensive than a 7970 Ghz ed where I live. To make the titan go down in price amd needs to make something that's quite a bit faster.
kualus 1 Posted February 21, 2013 I've read people saying that Titan is best suited to those who need heavy duty compute power, but don't need all of the features that Tesla K20 has and want to save money.
froggyluv 2136 Posted February 21, 2013 Titan. Sexy name but pretty sure Ill pass on this "luxury" card though 6gb vram sounds pretty freakin hawt! I feel like Im in VC limbo with the 680 2gb because as much as I want to go SLI -I'll still be at 2gb vram... Why oh why didn't I wait and grab the 670 4gb and SLI that b**ch :(
bangtail 0 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) I'm sure that Crytek and Nvidia colluded to release Crysis 3 and these cards at the same time just to annoy people. Crysis 3 is the first game in I don't know how long that will actually slow 2 680s down to levels that I am not happy with. Bring on the reviews I say :D @FL: You should be able to flog the 2GB 680 for a reasonable price. Edited February 21, 2013 by BangTail
froggyluv 2136 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Yep but with my awesome new hi-res Catleap monitor I'm now greedy for me Vram :o Edit: Oh wait, your meaning sell the card I have -hehe. Yeah I guess so Ive just never gone thru the process before -sounds daunting. I still have my pair of 460's rotting away in my closet -couldn't even give those things away :p Edited February 21, 2013 by froggyluv
bangtail 0 Posted February 21, 2013 Yah, I'm saying get rid of the 680 and get 4GB 670(s) ;)

kklownboy 43 Posted February 21, 2013 I live in the same city as Linus, maybe I can sneak into his garage and do some quick benchmarks and upload them before the cops arrive ;) Your Local say's Canada, he lives in Portland OR.If its equal to two 680s, then its worth the price. May not be all that much in Dx11 titles but may be that and more in older titles? I will wait for another round of Drivers to be released to make a better judgment. bangtail 0 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) It's pretty impressive at high resolutions In Hitman it is twice as fast as a 680 at 1600P Single Card: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_titan_review,1.html 3 Way SLI/Multi Monitor: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_titan_3_way_sli_review,1.html EDIT: The 1600P scores are pretty good across the board tbh, and that just happens to be the res I game at. Leon86 13 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) techreport http://techreport.com/review/24381/nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-reviewed and it may not be a complete paper launch, but the cards are definitely not available here. bangtail 0 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Not sure why Tech Report is using a 3820 @ Stock  Hilbert over at Guru3D is using an OC'd 3960X (4.6) which really allows the Titan to stretch it's legs. This thing is beastly at 1600P. Edited February 21, 2013 by BangTail

Beastlygrandpa 1 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) So I've been looking for a while and I think this will do amazing with BF3, Arma 2 and Arma 3. It is a great value for what it is and the CPU speed, except the GPU. I'm not sure but I think a GT 610 sucks, I think it will be able to run Arma 2 on low settings until I upgrade. I think I will save up and but a GTX 660 for around $200 or cheaper. I just wanted to see what you guys think of this system. Is there something else in the $600 range with the same basic stuff and a better GPU? Please let me know! :D http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/CYBERPOWERPC-Gamer-Ultra-GUA380-AMD-FX-4100-3.60-GHz-Gaming-Computer/7401886/product.html I forgot to mention I can get the same computer with a GT 520, the only difference if the GPU. http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/CyberpowerPC-Gamer-Xtreme-GUA250-w-AMD-FX-4100-3.6GHz-Gaming-Computer/6325729/product.html Edited February 24, 2013 by Beastlygrandpa
Leon86 13 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) That's not a good system, where do you live? there are probably better deals to be had. you can probably get it for less off of newegg, or get something better. Edited February 24, 2013 by Leon86
froggyluv 2136 Posted February 24, 2013 I would avoid those systems like grim death. Save up another $169 and get this if your determined to get a premade system http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/CYBERPOWERPC-Gamer-Xtreme-GXi450-Intel-i5-3.4GHz-Gaming-Computer/7401927/product.html Its a vastly superior CPU and a decent enough GPU (tho I'd still save to upgrade it further) although that red case would give me bad dreams.. froggyluv 2136 Posted February 24, 2013 Well I recommended the PC above  Honestly at $600.00 US your not going to get a lot for a premade system. I used to live in PA long time ago and Microcenter or Newegg is your best bet.
