Serclaes 0 Posted May 8, 2008 I thought that HK 79 would be more suitable for G3 in 85 I thought HK 69 is for G36 While there were variants of G3s with various grenade launchers, Bw did not have attached grenade launchers to any rifle. They had the HK69 as a "standalone" weapon. It was called "GraPi" standing for Granatpistole (= Grenade Pistol). The G36 does have a underbarrel grenade launcher wich is the AG36 (Anbau Granatwerfer 36 = Attach(able) grenadelauncher 36)
vilas 477 Posted May 8, 2008 so what with the HK79 if army had no such weapon ? for whom it was and what with the HK33 in army ? or maybe you know if DDR used AKM+GP

Serclaes 0 Posted May 8, 2008 so what with the HK79 if army had no such weapon ?for whom it was and what with the HK33 in army ? or maybe you know if DDR used AKM+GP BW did have HK69 and HK79 just not as underbarrel grenade lauchers. It was comparable to a pistol. HK doesnt produce exclusively for the Bw. I don't quite know how it works exactly but with auto financed productions, HK can do what it wants. HK 33 was a prototype and not used in the Bw (judging from wiki). I'm afraid i'm no expert. I just stumbled on the fact that Bw did not have any underbarrel gls, instead they wear it separately. Hence i can't really tell if DDR had a underbarrel GP

echo1 0 Posted May 10, 2008 HK 33 was a prototype and not used in the Bw (judging from wiki). The HK33 was popular with a good few special forces around the globe (including British and US) , and was used by Turkey and Thailand (probably amongst others) Would make a good resistance weapon, but was never issued to the German army. @Vilas: I think I remember reading somewhere that the East Germans used rifle grenades, although I could well be wrong. digitalcenturion 20 Posted May 17, 2008 Any chance of a update on that SA-9? Are there plans to port the MT-LBs from OFP to enable the creation of a SA-13 among other things? From what i remember the MTLBs were visually some of the most appealing addons back then.
