Thanks Jake. Just an update. I plan on updating the ACUPAT textures. Right now they're to dull.

173rd Units V7.0

Change Log:

Improved model and texture quality.

Realism.

Compatibility with ACE

Fixed most crashes / RPT errors

Wound textures are finally working.

Notes:

There are three units (SL, TL, and Medic) which have names and two different patches. I made them especially for me, Koch, and Millette (suhsjake). Each bears a national guard patch from our home state, and the 173rd AIBCT. As well as our last names.

change and edit first post, it is better for people than looking at all topic, many addonmakers give links in first post with note when edited - it gives players possibility to acces newest version and latest stage of addon, your first post is as i see edited 19 December,

Just one thing your units look way too(exaclty) similar to CameronMcDonald acu bad-ass.. sad_o.gif

It would be nice if you could come up with some new kind of bad-ass model... biggrin_o.gif

Note : I am wondering about the addon_replacement as it has disappeared in this version. Could you tell us something about that ?

That will definitely come in a later release. I just wanted to test out and see if they would be compatible to my liking.

Did you do the config change in DTA\ACE\ace_clientsideconfig.hpp?

@Bear

I will update the replacement pack and release it as a separate file soon.

Go to your Arma/Dta/ACE folder.

Open ace_clientside_config with notepad

find this line: #define ACE_SCOPE_SHOW_BIS

You will see a two underscores and hidden, change hidden to visible.

Now you should be able to find it in the editor.

yeah... i found it after some research...

heard som rumours about round parachutes instead of the current square ones...

is that something for the next update or is it something i can use in 1.01?

Bush Wars Conflict is working on a round parachute. I wonder if they will release it as a separate addon, which would be nice.

What happened to the units with heavy armor?  With each new release you guys are lowering the number of units in the pack. sad_o.gif

Brilliant units nevertheless, some of the best units made for Arma.

The units with the DAPS were removed a while back. Update 5.1 or something like that.

You're right, they're not really necessary for the game, they just add a little bit of diversity in the gameplay.

BTW, your new textures are much more realistic, much closer to the real acu. smile_o.gif

i have another one CTD problem with you mg_unit//

and if i remove old 1th_inf_untits_addon_by_Cameron i have alot not_find_errors in RPT

Argh, replacement pack isn't replacing the damn ACE Medic.. sad_o.gif

I hope someone finds a way to do it because I wasn't that lucky (looked both in ACE thread and ace men config and I'm either completely blind or I didnt find the edited medic)

CameronMcDonald: You're still working on them? Great! For some reason I thought you scrapped the whole 1stID update thing and started those '05 septic troops tounge2.gif

Binkowski: found a typo i guess smile_o.gif

This pops up in the main menu:

Cannot load material file 173\data\r2;_w1.rvmat.

Tested both with ACE + custom addons and on vanilla ArmA 1.15b + QG.
