Actually i agree to some point to you and i can also tell you that you are by far not the only one thinking like that. All Arma Forums are full with desperation-posts by "potential Arma2-Customers", which having massive Problems to get this Game (Arma1) even to run on modern Hardware (X64 - 4GB Ram 1GB GPU-RAM Issues - just for instance), or not even to speak about massive server crashes, JIP-Bugs and other strange bugs introduced with the latest patch, which are ripping the community apart or at least massivley shrink the playercount on the Servers (the real & important vital part of Arma1). But on the other side, they are devoting all their time and manpower to Arma2 which isn't a bad idea either Its a pretty "unsteadily" situation.....Both things need to be done... Didn't they confirm one more patch? Aren't we simply waiting for the next one? I don't think I even knew patches existed until BIS gave me some for OFP. I'm fairly pissed that I don't see any patches coming out for Fleet Command or Total Annihilation but there is a reason why. Companies move on and they stop releasing things for games. We are quite lucky to have BIS still at least considering making patches for a game which is two years old when they have another one right on the horizon. In all honesty I would love to have a patch but I don't think the game requires one to be fun anymore where as before there were a lot of little annoying things. Each time someone starts a thread about the next patch someone will come up with rumors and "I thought..." or "I heard..." which in the end brings more confusion then clarity. So it has been 6 months from the last patch. Who promised that there will be one? The next patch might come tomorrow, or it might come next week or next month or next year. The next patch (if there is one) will be released as soon as it has been considered done by the developers.
