HeinBloed 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Quote[/b] ]I found out that this mod does not work then resuming mission, only then i start new mission or reverting. I'm using a variable to prevent the script for multiple starts. I think the value of this variable will be saved too on saving the mission. Therefore the script does not start if loading the mission. I dont have a solution right away, and i've got always some or more other little things to do in mind. Therefore, and because i'm only playing multiplayer, this is not a high priority for me. Quote[/b] ]Also found out it doesn't work if player starts as vehicle crew.Jumping out doesn't help. This would be a high priority, But i cant reproduce this. Neither in the editor nor in multiplayer. This has never happened to me. Quote[/b] ]Also is there a way that when you switch on nightvision it will switch to correct mode automaticly? There is no correct mode. The optimal setting is only temporary and depending on the day, time, weather, place, presence of light sources and on the brightness, gamma, and brilliance settings of the videocard driver, monitor and in game settings. Alex72 1 Posted September 2, 2008 Im sorry if i sound like a total idiot now, but isnt this just a normal XEH thing? That the mod doesnt start inside vehicles? I know that all other mods i have that didnt work when start in a vehicle, have all started to work after the mod makers adds XEH to their stuff. And i thaught init, fired and extended eventhandlers today is all baked into the Extended Eventhandlers, so no need to use the first 2 separate? But hey, im no addon maker and even less a config writer so if this is completely wrong - shoot me. Regards Alex
HeinBloed 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Quote[/b] ]Easily applicable as a cheat, as you can get the "grey nightvision" found in certain vehicle addons simply by lowering the setAperture until you can see clearly at night without NV goggles. The "grey nightvision" is not possible with this addon. The maximum brightness without nightvision is limited to the standard ArmA brightness. It's not posible to see more with this addon and without nightvision. You can see everything clearly at night without nightvision if you increase the ingame gamma to maximum. The result is not far away from the "grey nightvision". You dont need any addon to do this.
Nicolas Eymerich 0 Posted September 2, 2008 sorry for the question but... how the hell I do install it? Thanks for sharing this great idea...
hamis 0 Posted September 3, 2008 Normal mod style.Make new folder into arma folder and rename it @gdtmodhdr,add addons folder in this folder and put gdtmodhdr.pbo in it.Then add @gdtmodhdr to your arma shortcut. My shortcut looks like this:H:\ArmA\arma.exe -nosplash -profiles=profiles -mod=beta;@gdtmodhdr. mrcash2009 0 Posted September 4, 2008 I just thought id say i have a mission just completed and saved out to SP PBO. I was playing on it yesterday eve and after about 2 hours of playing and 5 game saves, I loaded again and after 10 mins it was getting dark, I switched on NV and to my suprise your addon settings worked no problem. I quickly saved again, quit, loaded and reverted .. still works. So at this point I can confirm even though it seemed like it didnt, I have it working on resumed game saves (did nothing special other than have it active). NOTE: If doesn't remember, and you have to switch on and quickly set it back, but its active. Quote[/b] ]I found out that this mod does not work then resuming mission, only then i start new mission or reverting. Although now im not sure if im missing something, whats the difference between "reverting" and "resuming"? Im I right in thinking saving a mission, exiting, loading it and playing, plus in-mission just loading to previous save point = both? becuase in both those scenarios its working for me. hamis 0 Posted September 4, 2008 Resume=loading saved game.Reverting(in campaign)=starting mission again from start. It's very annoying it doesn't work, because i don't always have time to complete mission at once.
mrcash2009 0 Posted September 4, 2008 Ok I understand now, so restarting a mission within a campaign = mod not working.
madrussian 347 Posted September 4, 2008 Tried this last night. Great addon! Curious though, are most of you using it more for NV/night-time purposes or for a performace boost? I personally like the HDR affects that came with ArmA out of the box, but they come at far too much of a cost for me performance wise. So it's great to have the ability to turn it off! (And I will probably keep them off until perhaps some day when I get a second 8800 GTX.) So yes, I use it strictly for the performance boost. It would be best to have the addon continue working after loading a saved game... hope that gets sorted out soon.

SD_BOB 10 Posted September 7, 2008 Hey, cheers for this great addition, its definatly made night missions more bearable. Just a quick question, could this be made compaible with the GMJ sight adjustment? At the moment i'm guessing the hdr initevent handler is overiding the gmj one, on mission start. Once a mission is loaded in MP you can return to lobby and rejoin with the sight adjustment working but no hdr. Not a major issue, but kind of limits sniping at range at nighttime. Cheers anyways for this great addition.

Dwarden 1125 Posted September 9, 2008 Quote[/b] ]hamis you still run beta mod folder? i thought 1.14 is final Something wrong with this? -mod=beta;DBE1. final version don't need to use beta directory at all in fact you are then using obsolete content (until beta means something else e.g. addons)
hamis 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Well, this addon isn't compatible with S_NVG.They use same controls and there is no action menu item for auto adjust after installing GDTMoDHDR.Contrast with nvg's is terrible.Could HeinBloed cooperate with S_hole to make these addon's to work together? I wouldn't be at all surprised these dont work together as they are both doing the same job (under similar keys), its just that s_nvg doesn't deal with HDR outside of NV goggles. I like both, but I have removed s_nvg for now as it doesn't deal with both issues. Would be nice though if you could have s_nvg dealing with night and this mod dealing with just day and they both joined forces.
Dwarden 1125 Posted September 10, 2008 is it so hard to unpack the addon, change key ID numbers and repack ... especially s_nvg got that listing of keys inside already included ...
hamis 0 Posted September 10, 2008 I tried different keys for S_NVG,but they didn't work. Then i played arma campaign mission 2(destroy armor),all the fires and sky were overbright. Then i tried similar stuff in editor everything was o.k.
*KEEPER* 0 Posted January 30, 2009 Sorry for reviving an old topic, but I was playing around with this addon and to my surprise once you deactivate HDR with this addon, Nvidia SLI suddenly works perfectly. NO MORE WHITE STROBES
cenkcnk 0 Posted June 19, 2009 i can't use these keys. when i push the page up or down; player moves .go prone etc..
cenkcnk 0 Posted June 20, 2009 please help guys. how do i use this feature? when will i push these keys ? while playing ? these keys make my player perform some actions.and HDR problem still exist..
maxter 10 Posted June 20, 2009 I'd start off by unbinding those keys in your controls, so that the player won't perform any other actions when pressing them.
cenkcnk 0 Posted June 20, 2009 it finally worked , bye bye to HDR ;)
