How was this done so perfectly?

i was watching some ARMA videos on youtube and i found this.

ive always wanted to make a black hawk down style ARMA video but how did this get get it done so perfectly? how did he get the scripts to act exactly when he wanted? ive used the editor for a few weeks and i am lucky if i can get all the helicopters to start up at even the same time let alone do this. is there something posted that will help me achieve what this guy has?

I imagine through a lot of trial and error. If you haven't seen his ArmA Sahrani TV its awesome. The first clip is a little weird but the rest of them, especially the last 3 are really cool. Its the only ArmA video I have on my Ipod.

Does anyone know of a copy of this video with a resolution far higher than youtube's arse sucking quality?

As for the precision I agree with Rock, there is no way in hell the helicopter movement was done with waypoints (atleast, not entirely)

I always wondered how that cool camera swaying is done because it adds a lot to the movies.

Is that possibly controlled with track ir to get such fluid movements?

It's possible to change the default camera.sqs controls by remapping the buldozer controls in your key configuration. smile_o.gif buldozer controls = camera.sqs controls. So just map them to your mouse and hey presto, shaky camera!

Yep, or map them to a 4 axis joystick(s) (I actual use one of those $40 RC Simulator control boxes) so you get fine control of direction, height and movement ...... much better than keys smile_o.gif (hence my lates V-22 video)

how do you get the camera to stay locked say along the back of the helo or something because when i lock onto a vehicle my camera stays in place and just follows the direction of the vehicle without staying locked in the same location of the video.

confusing question if you can understand it/

Use the 'manualcam.sqs' script included in Geloxo's Handty Tools Script suite. It travels with the vehicle, soldier or anything else you start the manualcam.sqs script on.

These days, the QG anims are where it's at. As we are seeing more of them, they are vastly superior to the vanilla Arma anims though. Gonna be using more of those heh.
