dslyecxi 23 Posted December 23, 2007 * 1.31 hotfix- Fixed muted vehicles after 1.09 beta - Fixed rocket launchers firing sound issues Does this change the vehicle volume levels back to 1.08 intensity, or to 1.09 vanilla? The reason I ask is that vehicle volumes were dropped to allow for vehicle VOIP to be audible. If FDF "breaks" that, I won't be able to use it anymore.
andersson 285 Posted December 23, 2007 BIS should up the VOIP when in vehicles instead imo. Or we have to shout as in RL
the unknown 0 Posted December 23, 2007 So thats why i cant hear the guns anymore, people sould just set there settings properly so you dont hear there sounds over the mic.

kroky 1 Posted January 2, 2008 The sound inside helicopters is still too low, quasi muted..... Also the engine sound inside is still too low. Tested this with 5t truck, Humvee, Blackhawk, Abrams, T72, BMP, BRDM. 5t truck and Humvee is not that bad. Abrams is as good as mute. EDIT: OK Sorry it mainly has to do with another mod that overwrites some settings.
max power 21 Posted January 3, 2008 I notice that I'm not hearing much in the way of gunshots past a few hundred meters. Instead, all I'm hearing is bullet cracks. I'm very rarely hearing rifles now, which makes the game difficult.
Dwarden 1125 Posted January 3, 2008 yep i get this too, e.g. in AH-6 cockpit firing it's MG all i hear is supersonic crack per each shot (very ugly and if i use loud output it damage my real hearing soon for some reason the mg normal sound is sometimes on background but very 'quiet' and supersonic crack is layed over it
Goeth 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Yep folks you´re right about the volume levels, there´s some really strange stuff going on in the 1.09 beta.
max power 21 Posted January 18, 2008 Further to the volume levels, as I'm sure you're probably already aware, you can't hear the player's breath sounds when he's tired in first person but you can hear them loud and clear in 3rd person.
kroky 1 Posted January 19, 2008 Yes I confirm the same problem. Also the movement sounds of pilots are as good as not hearable.
vipermaul 246 Posted April 8, 2008 Is this the same patch that will work with 1.12? Or is there one that will be required for 1.12 specifically?
max power 21 Posted April 9, 2008 Is this the same patch that will work with 1.12?Or is there one that will be required for 1.12 specifically? Your answers lie on the first post of this thread.
vipermaul 246 Posted April 10, 2008 The first post mentions only 1.09 beta. But also the post was created before 1.11 or 1.12 was released. And the post has not been edit any time after 1.11 or 1.12 was released. So the first post appears to be outdated. This is the reason why I was seeking confirmation while I am detracted by work from testing it thoroughly myself.
kroky 1 Posted September 18, 2008 @Goeth Will FDF update the sound mod to 1.14 patch standards? Especially I would like to see the effect implemented that sound that are exterior (like wind, rain, thunder) are less hearable when entering a vehicle. (HIFIFX mod reached this to a good extent). Another thing is the minigun that is too low Do you plan any updates? Asking this because despite all these sound mods coming out now, I still stick with yours since I feel it's the best
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted September 18, 2008 An update would be great. This is my favorite soundmod but the problems with the volume going to zero is still there. MfG Lee
Kolt 0 Posted September 19, 2008 FDF 1.4? or is FDF done for..
